These Magic In The Air at Paper Cupcakes Challenge!

 Afternoon everyone! Well here we are another Monday! Oh these weeks are flying by! End of February today, before we know it the summer will be upon us.

Over at Theres Magic in the Air this week we would like to to think a bit cooler than summer, were looking for 'SPRING', Oh how I love the spring.... baby lambs, Baby Chicks, Easter Eggs... oh so and the not so fun spring clean! Oh well, back to my card!

This week I have used this lovely little chick! Isn't she adorable!?! She is available over at the Paper Cupcakes Store, with a number of other lovely digis!

Well, as some of you may know I'm a hoarder... I cant throw anything away, not even little scraps, so this card is a bizarre shape, but it made it all the more spring like!

I coloured the image in with my pro markers, I used buttercup to colour the chick, Peach for her beak and feet, Poppy and a blue that I cant remember on the case of the cake and Cardinal Red on her bow! I also used Ice Grey 1 round the edge of the icing on the cake!

I wrote 'Spring has Sprung ...' in silver peel offs and used a few odd flower peel offs just to make the card a bit brighter and more spring like!

I coloured the image twice and cut out the top of the cake and chick, I did think about adding another layer, but I don't like making cards that are too thick for when they are posted, the cost of postage these days is stupid!

Well there you have it! I hope you like her, if you have time please take a look at what the rest of the design team came up with! Please join us over at Theres Magic in The Air this week It would be lovely to have you there! I cant wait to see more creations!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge #84 Spring is in the air!

Morning all, life is so bust, feel that I could be on the go for a month without sleep and still have loads to do! But hey I love it!

Well this week over at Incy Wincy Designs we are sponsored by the one and only Stampfairy shop

OMG the images are just to die for, so cute!!! we were fortunate enough to be given an image to play with and he just makes me 'buzz' every time I look at him!!! Also this week we have Gerda, the owner of the stamp fairy as out guest designer! So if you have time please take a look at the shop!  We have a wonderful theme this week of

'SPRING'

So we would like to see all those bright colours and 'spring' creations!

Onto my creation for the week! I used my Tombo pens to colour the yellow and black as I don't have a black pro-marker, so you can guess what i'm going out to buy this week, I have no idea how I don't posses a black pro-maker! but the rest of the bear was coloured using caramel and tam pro-markers, the paint can was done with xxxx and the paint with poppy.

I used yellow and black bazzill card stock to create my card base, I cut 2'' strips of yellow and placed them evenly apart across the black bazzill!  The puddles of paint I added by cutting a 'random' shape from a bit of white paper and coloured it red.  The little mirror I purchased last week from 'The Works', there are 6 in a pack and they were only 69p!

Well I hope that I have inspired you to join us over at Incy Wincy Designs this week, if not then pop over to the other DT and see what they have created, they would love it if you could pop by!!So if you have the time it would be lovely to have you over at Incy Wincy Designs!

To The Happy Couple

Ok so here is an image I coloured forever and a day ago! I love colouring so much, but today we are having a making session! its brilliant, instead of the table being covered in pens and scraps for colouring on, it covered in gems and pearls and card of so many different colours!!!

Its a bit like a dream come true for me! I can colour so easily when I have the kids as I can stop and start, but to make a full card when they are about.... NO WAY!!!! hence why I have a box of coloured images, I hope that tonight Mark may want to play the guitar and I can get some more made, seem to be on a roll of getting things done!  All week the table has been covered in everything, to the point that the kids cant even eat dinner there, so trays have been on laps! I haven't had time to tidy up with having Amelia home all week and the weather has been horrid!

 Ohhh i'm so happy today! Were off out shortly to see a friend and her baby! I know i'm going to be so broody later! Although we need a bigger house and I would like Nancy to be sleeping through the night, she used to be a dream baby, but now she is a nightmare! She wont sleep at night, I have tried cutting naps in the day but she gets worse! Oh well, things can only get better!

Onto my card, I have used the lovely image 'loving bridal couple'. I felt it could be for a weeding, but it would be a very low key wedding so I wanted to try and 'fuss' it up a bit, it could also be for an engagement, or just a loved up couple!

The image was coloured with my pro-markers, I will have to edit this post later to put the colours down, I rounded the corners off of the image and used a sponge to put the silver on.  The roses were all white to start with, i used my pro-markers to bleed into the flowers to colour them.  The pearl flourish was done using my bazzill template and 3mm pearls.  The lace is stuck down the side with double sided tape.

Here you can see the flowers a bit closer, I have also added some pink, just to jazz it up a bit! I stuck all the flowers down using silicone as I can 'jab' the stems in before it sets!

Well I hope you like it, I know this is one that I have enjoyed making!

I would like to enter this to the following challenges;

Daring Cardmakers - pund shop pretties
Stamp Something - Flowers
DYSU - Anything Goes
Paper Romance - Anything Goes

Morning everyone, well here we are another week gone and a new one here and this week its half term for our schools, oh the joys of having both the children here for the week.  I have so many of Amelia's friends coming over this week i'm wondering if I should start a crèche!! On a count down for our family holiday now! cant wait to get away and be with the family! Having a get together next week to arrange what were all doing!

Well onto the challenge! Over at Theres Magic in the Air this week we would like to see

Children's Birthday Cards

Sometimes children can be hard work to make cards for, I find that I always want to create them something that I know a certain child is into, I sometimes make a card for a child and think, that is not very child like, or they wont like that, but this week I had no problems, I used a lovely image from Paper Cupcakes Store called 'Friends in all Sizes', I just felt the image was so adorable!

This is the 1st 'Twisted Easel' card I have made, its thanks to Cheryl, you can see a link to her page on my tutorial page! I cant wait to make more like this, its so much fun!

I coloured the image using my pro-markers, I used Moss for the Grass, The Ladybird was coloured with poppy and the giraffe was coloured using shale and tan, the maine was coloured using caramel.

The above photo is of the card when its closed, I scored the central line a bit off, but it turned out OK!!!  It worked out nicely as where I have put '4 Today' it shows when the card is closed!

The stamp I used for the greeting is one I have had since I started stamping I stamped in Silver.  I layered this onto centura pearly card in pale pink and lilac.  The pearls are ones from my stash and so is the ribbon.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Simply Create - Bold and Bright
If the Shoe Fits - Birthday
Guylous Inimitability - Anything goes

Well There we have it.  I hope you like it! Please join us over at Paper Cupcakes this week, it would be lovely to have you there! I cant wait to see what you create...

Pear Tree Designs Challenge #37 One Colour

Morning everyone, today is the first day of half term! so very little crafting will be done this week as I will be taking amelia out to see some of her friends, and with two or more kids in the house through the whole break, i think my craft stuff may have to hide! Although it may be a grate opportunity to let Milly behind the stamps!

Well onto the Challenge! This week at Pear Tree Designs we would like to see creations made using only one colour (monochromatic)! I love creating cards using one colour, you don't realise how many different shades of one colour there is!

this week we are sponsored by

We were fortunate enough this week to be supplied with some beautiful images from our sponsor Cardmadfairys Creations! When I saw the image 'Young Love' i knew it was the one I wanted to use strait away, I have so many ideas with this image but I need a day when I have nothing else to do to try what I would like! If you have time, pop over and take a look at the digis available!

So onto my card, This week I decided to go for black, grey's and white, I used my pro-markers to colour the image I used Ice greys 1-5, Although the image had shading on it I did use the different shades in different places to try and add more effect.

I used ribbon from my stash and the flowers are ones I brought over the weekend, they were £1 for 28 flowers, I didn't think that was bad! So I had to purchase a few different colours! The tickets on the bottom are digital ones I purchased over at Cuddly Buddly Crafts, they have some lovely digi's over there!

You can see in the girls dress where I have tried to pick out the detail on her dress using Ice grey 5. I was a bit unsure as to if it looked right at first as i wanted to put this on a grey card base but I have no Grey card.

Well I hope you like what I have created and that you will join us over at Pear Tree Designs this week! If you need some more inspiration why not take a look at what the rest of the DT have created over on the PTD blog??

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

I did it Creations - Anything Goes
Challenge up your life - Monochromatic
Stampin for the weekend - Monochromatic
Phindys Place - Monochromatic
Creative Inspirations - Plain and Simple

I cant wait to see what you create!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge # 83 Die Cuts or Punches

Morning everyone, well here I am posting again for you! Mondays are a 'MAD POSTING DAY' for me, all the challenges seem to start on a Monday! Oh well, at least it gives me the rest of the week to hop around to all of those of you the join us on Incy Wincy Designs!

Well this is my first post for Incy Wincy,  As you may know last week they asked me if I would like to join their DT, I am so honoured that they chose me.  So onto this week's challenge, we are sponsored by

and the prize is a set of Die Cuts.

Here is a bit about Peggy;

I'm lucky enough to be a retired grandma who spends the day working with my vintage card collection. My husband and I have shared almost 37 years together and we have 2 sons and a daughter and 2 glorious grandkids that turn 4 and 7 in May.

I started collecting Vintage Greeting Cards quite by accident. I was helping with an Aunt's estate sale and ran across her Vintage Greeting Card collection. The images on the Vintage Cards were so bright and cheerful that I just fell in love with them. As my collection grew and provided such joy and entertainment for me, I knew that others would get as much out of them as I did. So I decided I'd share my collection thus, the birth of PeggyLovesVintage.

Each card is carefully scanned at a 600 dpi resolution and saved in .jpg format. I only scan cards that are free of any copyright restrictions. I keep each and every card, so if any question ever arise I can provide documentation that this is truly the case.

Special software is not required to use my images. If you have printed out a picture from a digital camera, it’s pretty much the same concept and just as easy. Of course if you are so inclined, and if you do have imaging software, you can clone, cut and paste and even change the colors on the image.

The possibilities are endless, so please take a moment and visit my web store by clicking below or copy and paste the link into your browser. So sit back, relax and enjoy your journey back in time.

Please if you have time pop across to her shop and see the beautiful images she has! Well onto my creation for the week, I struggled a bit this week as I feel my little bug has gone walk bouts again, but I managed to create something! I used Centura pearl Card for all the backings, the scalloped circle was cut with my nestabilities I thought this image was lovely for Mothers day so I have created a mothers day card!

I printed the image twice so I could layer it, I could have done with more layers, but I know for next time! I used some rhinestones round the edge of the scallops to add some detail, i did also used a sanding block around the edge to break the colours up a bit, you can see that clearer in the picture below!

Well I hope that I have inspired you to join us this week at Incy Wincy Designs, why not pop over and take a look at what the rest of the team created! Their cards are just beautiful!

Thanks for taking the time to look!

hugs

A wedding card

Evening again, well I played with images a bit last night, I had placed an order over at poppy's cabin, such wonderful images and such a reasonable cost! You should pop over if you have a moment.  This was my 2nd order from her and I will be back shopping with her again soon!!!

Well I managed to sit and colour last night, I seem to have a huge pile of coloured images at the moment, I need to start 'making' them into cards ect, but I'm having so much fun colouring and experimenting, that colouring is so much fun!!! But I did start on the making mission last night!!

Well I decided to use this lovely image of a Bride and Bridesmaid, I decided to used purples as I'm loving purple at the moment! This is the 1st card I have made using a doily too, ohhhh they are so much fun, need to get my hands on some more!

The image was coloured with my pro-markers, i used sunkissed pink and blush on the bride and pastel pink and blush on the bridesmaid.  The Brides dress was coloured using Ice Grey 1 and satin, The bridesmaid dress and the flowers were coloured using various purples.  I used crystal stickels on the brides veil.  The flourish has been done using pearls from my stash and my bazzill template!

The flowers I have used we ones I picked up the other day at 'The Works', The roses were one set and the purple flowers are from the same place but I cut them all down so I could put them where I wanted them... I have got to go bak to the works and get some more! I decided this time to stick all the embellishments using silicone, it was grate to be able to have something to 'stick the stick' into!

I hope you like the card I have created! Im very happy with it! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Pastel Colours
Just Magnolia - Love You
Lexis Creations - Flowers

Thanks for looking!
