The Paper Nest Dolls - Zodiac Release

Good morning!

I know another nice and early one here from me - I have so much going on!

I'm here today with one of the AMAZING new release stamps from The Paper Nest Dolls !!!

Now you may have seen some of the sneaks on Facebook - but I know that Christine has done an amazing job with this set and I know you are all going to be blown away!!

So I'm sure by now you have seen the new release is 'Zodiacs' now even I never got that from the sneaks shown!!!

I have been lucky enough to get to colour 'Sagittarius'  for the release :) I just love how Christine has interpreted her - the bow and arrow and the horse…. just perfect  :)

I coloured her with copics, the papers are from my stash - once again an 'unknown mix' of what I thought worked!!

The 'Sagittarius' is from the SIL store, I coloured each letter on the studio and print and cut it - it fitted just perfect with the image down the side :)
I really wanted this card to focus on the adorable image and so I decided to keep embelishments to a minimum!  Well I'm sure you want to see the rest of the amazing stamps to pop to The Paper Nest dolls blog to see more ;)

If you have a moment I would love to know what you think of my creation :)

See you again soon

Monday 3 March 2014

So Lucky!

Evening, well I have to say I really didn't think I would be on this much of a roll today, It appears that taking some time out to blog is making me much more productive! I dread to think how many creations I haven't shared with you :(

Anyway I'm back today with a bit of a different creation for me, well its still a card, but its a bit 'green'….

When linking up to some challenges yesterday I saw that there are many 'green' themes out there at the moment, and so I thought it would do me some good to make a card with lots of green! I have used the adorable Shamrock Ellie Rubber Stamp from The Paper Nest Dolls

Sh was coloured with Copics;

Skin and Hair;
E50, E51, E21, E93
E33, E35, E37

Greens and Greys;
G40, G43, G46,
YG03, YG17, YG67
T1, T2, T3

I didn't really know what sort of green to go with and so I chose to colour with lighter colours and then take the matting paper to the darker green.  The flowers are from my stash, mostly Wild Orchid Crafts, the shamrock banner, the tiny shamrocks in the flowers and the 'Lucky' were cut on my cameo.  I added a little bit of ribbon from my stash around one of the layers - If I'm right I think it was an SU one!

 Now although the card is very 'St Patricks Day' I'm sending it to someone that has done so much to help someone in my life recently as I am lucky for all they have done :)

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Marker Pop - CH #38 - Lucky Green
Di's Digi Designs - Make it Green
Open Minded Challenges - Something Green
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Green and Ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will leave me a comment :) Hope to see you again soon

So over to my creation, I'm so excited that I'm now able to work with some of the new releases over at The Paper Nest Dolls, This week I have chosen to work with the adorable Easter Bonnet Avery for my creation this week.

I know your all thinking that Easter is a way off but really its not! She was so lovely to colour, I chose to use some bright colours on her using my copics;

Skin and Hair;
E50, E51, E21, E11, E93
E40, E41, E42, E43

R20, R22, R24, R27

Coat, Sky and Grass
B0000, B01, B02

Now I know you can't see much of it, but I have added some lace behind my image - I wish I had been a bit braver and added some more! The papers are from Bazzill Basics and its called Vintage Marketplace, i have to say its one of my favourite paper stacks!

The sentiments are a mix of Lili of the Valley and Whiff of Joy all stamped onto kraft card stock to match the matting of my other papers.  The flowers are from my stash, mainly Wild Orchid Crafts, I did get a bit brave and tried to mix my flowers up a bit with the help of one of the girls on the team :)

I had to add some butterflies to this one too, I used some of the odds of paper left over with my Martha Stewart punch, I then added some gems behind them to add some sparkle :) Now I'm so in love with this spring like card that I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

Now I will be honest and admit that I forgot the folds thing - however I do still have a creation for you this week!!  And if the weather here is anything to go by, I hope she will cheer you up!

I have used the adorable Posh Princess available here in the store - I really wanted to make her stand out from the crowd on this occasion - so I used lots of reds - even her hair is red!  I had so much fun colouring her up that I forgot to write down the combo's :(

The papers are from one of my favourite stacks - so favourite that I used every sheet in the stack and have no more :( I decided to keep the red thing going by using that as my matt colour.  The flowers are all from my stash, mainly a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I would like to enter this bright and cheery card into the following challenges;

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
