Ahoy There

Morning! hope your all well! Im here this morning with a post for The Paper Nest Dolls :)
It feels like so long ago since I did a blog post for over there :)  So Im here to share with you today something a bit different for me…. not my normal card or attempt at scrapbooking or SMASH*ing…. But something a bit more special :)

Please le me introduce to you

He is just so cute and I love him to bits! Do you like the shape??
Its from the fantastic Sandra's Scrap Shop and cut on my cameo.
I was somewhat nervous at first with making this card up - but it was so easy to make!

I coloured him up with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
B93, B95
C1, C2
Y15

The paper is a 12x12 that I have had in my stash for ages, I used both sides of the paper on this creation.  I distressed the edges of my circle card with Tim Holtz xxxx

I think the hardest part of this creation was the embellishing - the whole thing is about 8'' - its been a long time since I have made something this big! Its a good job I had all the fantastic flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

I had to use the cameo even more on this creation - I just fell in love with one of the 'Nautical' sets on the SIL store.  This little guy is just 1' tall and look at all that detail.  I added the cheesecloth behind to look like fishing net :)

I added loads of charms too! all on some twine for more of a nautical look - Well I hope you like him! I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

613 Avenue - Anything Goes (Twist of Friendship - It has been made for a friends new boat)
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you have a moment please let me know what you think!! Remember the current challenge over at the PND Challenge blog
Hope to see you again soon

Life is a Cabaret

Good Morning and welcome to my first official post as a 'Sous Chef'.  I have to say I'm loving every moment of the team, the girls are fantastic and the images… well they are just wonderful!!!

So I'm here today with my first (of hopefully many!) Friday release -
please let me introduce you to…...

Life is a Cabaret

Isn't she just a STUNNER! I love everything about this girl! I have to be honest and say she stumped me at first, but then I came up with the wonderful idea of an easel card…. the first time in ages that I have made one!!! The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00 E02
R35, R37
T2, T4, T6,

Now it was then how to fill the 'blank' and so I decided to make it my sisters birthday card - she is a dance teacher - for ballet, tap and modern - but this year I decided she needed something a bit more 'mature'! the plaque on the left says;

Performing Tonight
28.10.2013
Miss Kathryn!!!

 Well I hope you like her and you will pop over to The Stamping Chef this image at the moment has 20% off in the store so grab her NOW!!! to see what the rest of the new release team have come up with! Hope to see you again soon :)

Surfs Up

Afternoon all, well thats about typical… kids break up for school holidays and it rains on the first day :( and to top it off - I don't have a car today :( lets hope these kids behave and that I may get to craft at some point :) So I'm here today with a new card I have made for The Stamping Chef Facebook Page :)

The wonderful Tamara has given us the opportunity to work with yet another fantastic image she has drawn!  Please let me introduce to you

'Surfs Up'

She is just perfect with the weather we have been having - oh how I wish I could learn to surf - But I don't like water in my face!?  Anyway I decided that it was about time 'Little Boo' did some proper work - incase you don't know 'Little Boo' is what I have called my lovely cameo!

I used the lovely stepper card template from the Sil store as my base, I wanted something that would make her stand out!  When I cut the file I then re-sized it slightly to get the matting lad layering effect.  The surfboard is also from the Sil Store.  - I cut that on white card and coloured the flowers with my copics to match the pink on her surf board.

The image was coloured with copics

E21, E11, E51
B95, R24, R27
YG03, YG17,
RV13, RV15, RV18
T2

The paper is from my stash - it didn't have a name on it - so not sure who its by! The sentiment of 'This is my happy place' is also cut on the cameo and from the Sil store - oh yes 'Little Boo' had quite the work out last night! I added the charm on the left side just to finish her off!   Well I hope you like her! Remember you can get this fantastic image from the store here!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafts and Me - Anything Goes
Inklings and Yarns - Anything Goes
Nutcrafters - Summer Sunshine Fun
Scrappers Delights - Inspired by a Song - Surfin' U.S.A by the Beech Boys

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think of her! Hope to see you again soon :)

Thank you Teacher

Morning! wow so here we are - 6 weeks of summer holidays!
We have a little planned but nothing too special - well other than off to see a very good friend and Peppa Pig World - the kids don't know that bit yet - I can't wait to see their little faces!

So yes my not so little any more Miss A has finished year one! Where has the last year gone - it only feels like yesterday she was starting?  I can't believe next year is her final year at her school - Miss N starts nursery for 3 days a week in September too!!

So as per usual it comes to that time that you don't know what to get for the teacher to say 'Thank you' - me being me forgot till the night before she broke up! And so the mad panic set in!! I didn't want to do the chocolate or the flowers, I wanted something special and so I made this….

Yes I have braved a floating frame! I saw the file on the Silhouette store and just couldn't resist the words were just perfect!  I cut the file in vinyl so it stuck to the glass - just to ensure no mishaps! The butterflies were also cut from the vinyl and placed inside.  That was a job and a half weeding all those letters!!!

I then went on to decorate the frame with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and then added some sparkle to them with glitter.  I didn't want to add too much to over power what was there! I would like to enter this frame into the following challenges;

Anything Goes Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks fro stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think of my creation! Hope to see you again soon :)

Seasonal Angel Ellie

What beautiful weather we have been having here in the UK - I hope you are all getting some of this summer sunshine too :)

So I'm here with you today to share a new PND creation of mine, I love my PND's - they have something so unique about them! So today I'm here to share a card I have made with Angel Ellie who is available from the store.

Yes I'm thinking Christmas… although I love the summer with the heat and the bright colours, I also love christmas, lots of food and friends and family together in one room :)  As soon as I saw Angel Ellie I had this sudden feeling that I had to make at least one Christmas card with her!

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E40, E41, E42
E31, E33, E53
C0, C1, C2
Y28

I added stickles to the tops of the clouds and distressed the edges of the image slightly with Tim Holtz Old Paper.  The papers are from my stash, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment stamp from LOTV and the charm from my stash.  I so loved everything about colouring her up and I can't wait to make more like her for this Christmas! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Time For Tea?

Afternoon all, I think the sun stole my mojo for a while, been sat in the craft room staring at a walls all week,  not been the best of weeks, lots of changes and realisations in my life, BUT I'm on the up now and that is all that matters!

So last night it came to me, yes mojo came running home and we were re-united :) So I made good use of the time and actually finished some stuff off that has been staring at me for well over a week!  I coloured the gorgeous Tea Time Avery  from Paper Nest Dolls  up in a bit of a different style….

Yes I braved the 'No Lines' thing - its was pretty scary and as I have never coloured her up with lines in the first place I don't think that helped!! Plus people are used to seeing various stamps coloured up without lines that sometimes the style is not right, but I don't think she came up too bad!

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
C1, C2, C3, C4
E50, E51, E53,
B93, B95, B97

The papers are from Fancy Pants and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  You can just see round the edge where I distressed using TH Old Paper distress ink pad.

I coloured the pins with my copics so the colours tied in with that on the papers and the image.
I also had to add a little charm in there too!!

the watch just fitted perfectly! Im so happy with how this card turned out! I hope you like her too! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Digitally Sweet - Bright Colours
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Hope to see you again soon :)

Summer Fun - A bit of Digital Scrapbooking!

Good afternoon all, well the weather has been bliss here, so sorry I haven't been about much the past week - since the madness of the lead up to the blessing I let everything else get away from me!!!  So now I'm trying to be on major catch up - with little to no luck with the beautiful weather - however I have had to stay inside for a while today as its soooo hot - and so then I remembered that I had asked to join in with the FB challenge at Simply B Stamps - I have coloured the image loads and ended up throwing it away as I ruined it with the background :(

And so the bright idea came to me to digitally colour it - Not something that I often do - BUT as I took some photos of the kids on their new swing the other day I thought I could make a little digital scrapbook!!!

And so here it is - if your looking for the image from simply B she is on pages 2 and 4

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed making this - I don't get enough time to scrapbook as i never feel it looks right, when I do get to, I love to incorporate my digs, this just seemed a win win situation today :)

Well I hope you like my little scrapbook :)

Thanks for stopping by hope to see you again soon

Girl Talk - :)

Good Morning!  Hope you are all well today :)

Im here with what I hope is a 'sunny' project for you all - I have had so much fun with the recent new release over at The Paper Nest Dolls that there has really been no stopping me with them!!! BUT there are two that are my favourite from this set - they both remind me very much of my girls in some way!

So I'm here to share with you today a notebook I have made using the cute 'Girl Talk' available from the store.  I have used her son so many creations recently!

She is just so sweet and that hair! Yes you all know I love hair!! I can't help myself with the PND images but to love their hair!!!

I coloured the image with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
R37, R37
Y21, Y26, Y28, Y35
E40, E41, E42, E43
C1, W1, W4

The papers are from MME 'Collectables' xxxx - now I'm not normally one for bright and cheery creations - I'm more of a pastel girl…. :)  BUT I think this came up so well - so I will defiantly try more like this!  The flowers are from my stash and the butterflies are Prima.  I also had to get the cameo out to cut the little 'Hi' - that came out so well!

I hope you like her - I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

Art Impressions - 5 or more Flowers
Creative Moments - Flowers

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what thou think!
Remember to join in over on the challenge blog :)

See you soon
