Penguin!!!

Morning! So sorry I have been so quiet - just not had the hours in the day to create, blog and be mummy! Its that time of the year when we are sick one after the other and so as many of you know family have to come first at a time like that.  Anyway when I have had the time I have been creating and I have LOADS to share with you over the coming week(s)!

Today Im here to share with you a commission I did using the adorable Penguin with Gift from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Now this has to be one of the easiest Christmas images I have ever come across and is so much fun to colour!

The papers were all loose in my stash so I can tell what company they are, the image was coloured with copics;

T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T7
YR
G40, G42, G46
R35, R37

The snow was created using some snow I purchased from That Craft Place (Oh how I LOVE that shop!) The snowflake die cut is from memory Box - not used my dies as much this year since having the cameo - all the words were done on the cameo. Special day

Good Morning! I can't believe how terribly quiet my blog has been from me this year - I think its somewhat embarrassing!!! BUT I have so much to do in a very short space of time and all I want to do is all I shouldn't be doing - thats about typical!!!

So Im here today to share with you a card I made for a commission a while back - I just LOVE this image from Lala Land - she is so adorable and she was lovely to colour!

Once again this is another that I thought I had shared but I didn't and so here she is now - The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E)2, R20
B95, B95
R25
E31, E33
T3, T5
E33, E35, E37

The papers were all from my stash - and the bow was cut using a dynamics die I have stashed away! I used my quickutz alphabet to cut the name in Silver miri card!

Well I hope you like her! I think she came out pretty cute, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Its coming to thats time….

Evening - oh my it has been so long since I have blogged - I am so so sorry! I have been non stop with orders and trying to get ready for Christmas! I just haven't stopped - but I am loving being so busy - so yes as I have been busy I have been creating and it seems to be flowing quite well!!!

Im here to share with you today what has to be one of my favourite Winter/Christmas images of 2012 - the gorgeous Winter Fairy Halla from Mo's Digital Pencil - It has been so long since I have coloured a Mo image - so yes it took me longer than I hoped but I am so pleased with the results

The image was coloured with copics

B000, B00, B01
E000, E00, E02
W2, W4

I used a few of my new dies too - I'm so obsessed with Memory Box dies - they are just so lovely to use the cut is perfect every time - and they have little holes in that back to help you get the die cut out!! (little things and little mind I know!).  I die cut the image with my nesties as well as the scalloped edging.

The papers are from the 6x6 Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas - I do really like these papers as they are christmassy by not over kill if you get me! Well I hope you like my card I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

18th Butterfly

Eveing - I don't know how many times I have gone to write this post and forgotten - its quite scary! Im having one of those days where nothing is quite going right - I decided to cook a roast dinner for tea tonight and somehow after 1/2 hour into cooking the chicken realised that I didn't have enough potatoes… How I did that I do not know - I'm sure I brought potatoes when I last went shopping!  I will confess that I am shattered - did not sleep well again last night - this cough is keeping me awake so much through the night again :(

Anyway back to what I'm meant to be doing! I was asked to make a 18th Birthday card a couple of weeks ago - all the customer wanted was for the image to have blond hair and female - and so what a perfect time to grab out a Saturated Canary Image - one of my favourites - Cerridwen  - I just LOVE colouring her up

The image was coloured with copics - and the papers are all from my stash - I couldn't resist the prima butterfly in the corner - just felt it pulled the orange from the backing paper out a bit.  The die cut circle butterfly is a tonic circle die I have - I just love using it at the moment.  The 18 is just some peel offs (quite relieved I'm finally running out of them!)

Once again I am so please with the way she coloured up - I hope you like her too! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

The Black Swan

Eveing all - well on the up - yes I sure am - feeling so so so much better now! OK its only thanks to Night Nurse that I am - but I so hope I keep up like this - have felt so so poorly recently!

Anyway - back to why I'm here - can you guess??? Yep the 13 Days of Halloween Challenges - I can't believe we are up to day 10! only three more days :(

Simply Challenged Challenges

I have SO been enjoying challenging myself the last couple of weeks - trying hard to think outside the box and make something different and test spooky!!!

Well Im here with the latest challenge - it stumped me at first - the theme is

'The show'

yep - I know that didn't mean much to me at first then I read what it was about!

'Ghouls, Killers and Witches on the big screen - use any non 'persona' image and make it resemble your favourite movie ghoul, ghost, witch or scary persona'

Ha ha it made NO sense to me - so after goggling 'persona' and lots of chatting I have finally come up with something….

The Black Swan - (Not to be confused with the 1942 swashbuckler film 'the black swan')

Its an American psychological thriller and horror film - the plot revolves around a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet by a prestigious NYC company.  The production requires the ballerina to play both the innocent and fragile White Swan as well as the dark and sensual Black Swan - between two dancers whom audition for the part are bot are embodied with qualities for each part - when the two dancer compete - for one the pressure causes them to lose their tenuous grip on reality as the defends into a living nightmare

Now I will confess and say i have only ever seen snippets of this film - and Im not one for being scared outa my seat - and the bits that I have seen did me NO favours - My sister and my mum have both seen it all the way through and found it quite scary!  And so here is my take on the film 'The Black Swan'

The image is the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy Lola from Simply B Stamps - now I LOVE this girl and it was pretty hard to colour her the way I have - Now I NEVER thought I would colour and image other than the way I thought it should be - and this is NOT how I saw her - BUT I am so so happy with how she has turned out!!! She was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, W2, W4, W5, W7

I die cut her with my oval scalloped nesties and then added memento start nights around the endue.  The paper is a DP that I purchased a LONG time ago - and I have no idea where from.  I also used my sissiz corner dies the I attached to the back of the image to give the swirls and y QC ballet shoes die!

Well I really hope you like my creation - I have to say I LOVE it - and so did my sister when she saw it! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Fairy Tale - Monochrome with dies and/or punches

Thanks so much for stopping by - remember the Boo! Hop (Im sure the other girls would LOVE to have you stop by too!!!) sign up - you could win $15 to spend at Simply B Stamps  - If you have a moment I would LOVE to know what you think of my card!

See you soon

Its A Girl

Good Morning! How are you today? Its a cold damp morning here again :( oh well its that time of year so best just get on with it! Anyway I'm here to share with you a card I have made for a friend of mine who had a baby girl last weekend! There are so many babies being born and due any time I can't believe it!!!

I have used the beautiful Butterfly Baby from Saturated Canary it has been so long since I have coloured one of her images up and when I saw this beauty I couldn't resist! I coloured the image with copics and just had to add some pink ribbon too!

I used the lovely die from Butterfly Circle Die from Tonic - I purchased it a couple of weeks ago from That Craft Place - Its a lovely die and the detail is wonderful! I also used my MS Butterfly punch for the added butterflies and the papers are from my stash!

Well I hope you like my card and I hope the person that I have sent it to likes it too!  I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Skeleton Dance

Evening - well yes I sure know its evening - starting to feel somewhat rough again - i think once this is posted its wind down for bed! How are you anyway!? SO yes I have been playing with crafty stuff on and off all day!! Once again its for the wonderful challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges - were now on Day 8 - I can't believe it!!!

Simply Challenged Challenges

So this theme is Skeleton Dance - Its a colour and element challenge must use bones/skulls/skeletons and ONLY black and white - well the black and white were easy - but Skeletons…. Ummmmm yep thats where I thought I was stumped….

Ok I can't get it much closer…. I have made another halloween decoration for my home!

I made it using squares of papers and then rolled them into cones, then I used silicone to glue them to a disk behind and then added my image (coloured in black and white) die cut with my nesties onto the decoration. First I used the gorgeous Betty Skellington,

Then I had to use the fab Little Skeleton Oscar - I found it so hard not to colour him in colour! The papers are digital ones - you can't see but one does have skeletons all over it!!!

and then finally I had to use the puppy from Betty Skellington, just so cute! Again these were digi papers!  Now you may be thinking - OK so she has covered the black and white but what about the Skeletons….

Well when I went shopping last week I purchased a string of them, after moving them about a bit  I managed to put each decoration in-between skeletons….

ewwww he is a bit eerie!!! Well I hope you like my creation - I know I'm happy with this one! I would like to enter this into the following challenges

Anything But A Card - Halloween
Catered Crop - Circles
Heck Of A Challenge - Spooktacular

Halloween SMASH*ed

Afternoon! How are we all? Well I have been busy here - got so much that I want to do but the cold is holding me back - much better than i was yesterday - so fingers crossed another early night I will run on full power again! So its been SOOO long since I did a SMASH* page - I lost all get up and go with it a long time back - I was going to sell all my stuff but I didn't - and a week or so ago I suddenly got the urge to do a page!

So yes I'm still running in halloween mode - Im so loving all creepiness at the moment - although spiders still freak me out! So I decided to SMASH* Nancy's first Halloween (yes I know that was 2 years ago!) but the photos have been sat here and needed something doing with them!

All the die cuts were what a good friend Anda from Crafty Fresian sent me - you need to pop over and see her stuff - she has some wonderful creations!

I had to use the gorgeous Little Witch Ariel available here from SImply B Stamps.  Now cause I have her as a digi I flipped her, made her smaller and merged her in pages and then printed them off - they were coloured with copics and then just glued in!

Now there is a funny story about the 'too cute to spook' - now I am quite stingy sometimes and I had kept the top of the 'Too Cute to Spook' paper I purchased from Simply B Stamps  - I have no idea why then when doing these pages it dawned on me to cut it down and use it! So yes - Now I have started to keep the names off some of my 12x12's cause they can be used! Well I hope you like my pages I would like to enter them into the following challenges;

2 Sisters - Cute and creepy
Challenge up your Life - halloween
Di's Digi Downloads - Halloween

Feeling Green

Evening all - well another latish post from me, had a strange day today - found out there is a craft shop about 15 minuets away so I decided to pay it a visit - what a beautiful shop - and they had halloween stuff - the whole front window was decorated with ghosts and gules! It was FAB to see a craft shop into the spirit.  So as you can imaging I just had to buy something - mmmm well a few bits - I treated myself to a die and a few papers - It was only then that i was inspired to make another card for the 13 days of Halloween Challenge over at Simply Challenged Challenges

Simply Challenged Challenges

So if you remember the theme is 'Slime and grime' you need to use lime green and distressing - so this time I have kept it a bit more simple than the last one and I hope it counts as there is not too much green but each layer is distressed with my SU tool!

These are the fab bits I purchased from the new shop i found! The papers are just SOOOO fab! I had to use them - the red stipe looks really bright in the photo (I think thats cause of the flash) looking at it here it looks really aged and weathered.  The brown dots are just LUSH! and oh the die - yes I just had to have this die!!

I also added the pumpkin charm sent to me by the wonderful Anda from Crafty Fresian - you have to take a look at her work its FAB! (big thank you's too for sending me them!)

The image is the beautiful Bride of Chrisenstein Betty - she is available from Simply B Stamps! I just love colouring her up -especially green!!!

As I wanted the 'lime' to 'pop' I wanted to keep it to a small area and each layer was distressed with my SU tool (I think you cab see it above!) She was coloured with copics

YG21, YG25, R24, R27, R29, W2, W3, W4, W5

Well I hope you like her (and I hope she is acceptable for the challenge!) You know where I'm entering it too!!!

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again soon

Time for Spinning Webs….

Evening all - so sorry I haven't been about much - not exactly feeling the ticket at the moment!  Had a day of resting and just being lazy - it has been lovely! But to keep me away so I actually sleep tonight I have been creating again….

Simply Challenged Challenges

Yep I have another creation for the 13 Days of Halloween challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges - this has been so much fun - I can't believe that we are on day 5 already!

The challenge this time is

'What A Wicked Web We Weave'

SO basically the creation needs cobwebs and spiders….
So I will admit that I still have a bit of a thing for making things glow at the moment! Hence todays creation.  Its a very simple one but in the dark looks sooo effective! ohhh and I'm very proud as its recycled!!!

I just LOVE the shape of the bottle (its the Tesco own rose wine!)  so after taking the labels off and washing it I started planning!!! The ribbon is some that I purchased from e-bay a week or so ago!!! I thought it was perfect for this challenge.  I coloured the beautiful Banshee Lola with copics

E50, E51, E53
V91, V93, V95
E000, E00, E02, R20, R83

I die cut a black scalloped oval from my nesties and then the spiders web it created from the Cheery Lynn dies that I purchased for That Craft Place (You so need to shop there - FAB service!)

I filled the inside of the bottle with plastic spiders and the lights are battery operated ones from the £1 shop! Well I hope you like my creation - I would love you know what you think!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge;

Simply Challenged Challenges - 13 Days Of Halloween - Day 5 - Webs and Spiders

Glowing Beautifully

Afternoon! oh today is feeling like such a long day - roll on getting into bed tonight!
So I have been trying to keep busy and make stuff but nothing has been going as I want it to - so I thought about having a nap - and then I decided that if I nap - well its unproductive and so I decided that I would try to make a 2nd entry to the 13 Days of Halloween Challenge over at Simply Challenged Challenges and I came up with this….

Yep I have decorated a candle - I originally wanted to do the whole tissue paper and melt it in but it went terribly wrong - so after scraping some of the wax off I went back to the drawing board, then I spent time searching on the internet and I became inspired by Carrie over on the Simply Challenged Challenges 13 days of Halloween challenge and thought I had to try!

OK so I know its not exactly 'flame friendly' but the whole design can be removed so you can still burn the candle! Im actually going to keep it as a Halloween decoration - I think I may have a box of them by the end of this halloween!!! (At least I will be ready for next year!)

The image is the gorgeous Witchy Wednesday from the Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween.  I coloured her with copics and then die cut her.  I then used die cuts that a lovely friend sent me!! The ribbon and webbing were from the internet!  Well I hope you like her! I will be doing more like this! It was lots of fun to do! I would like to enter this candle to the following challenges;

Broken Box Stock - Halloween
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes

Ohhh and purple hair too! I have to say once again she is my favourite! She was coloured with copics and the papers are all from my stash.  The spiders web/ bat paper is from Simply B Stamps - I LOVE this paper - I will have to get more for next year!
