Now if you have come from Ruza's Blog your on the right lines… if not then hop back to the start at Corinne's blog!! I know I can't wait to see what creations everyone has made.

Now for this hop we were very lucky that Tamara of the Stamping Chef created a wonderful image for use for our creations for Betty! Now what could she be called….

So back to wishing the real Queen of Halloween a Happy Birthday! We do hope you like your special image - this card is now in the hands of Royal Mail on its way to you! I do hope it arrives soon!!! I coloured the image with copics and the papers were the end of my 'Chillingsworth' 6x6 pad.  The words were all cut on the cameo!!!

So I hope you had a fantastic Birthday and that the next few days are still full of celebrations for you! Now you need to hop along to Jackie to see what she has for you!!!

Now if you have a  moment I would love to know what you think and ohhh the Lovely Queen of Halloween is available now in the TSC Store with 20% off so grab her while you can!

T3, T5
N7, N9

The Vulture Knockouts vs. The Skullhead Babes Challenge

Good Morning!

I hope your here for the Roller Derby today :) This is has been so much fun!
Two amazing artists coming together head to head….

The Vulture Knockouts vs. The Skullhead Babes

Now how cool is it these two fantastic companies coming together!!  I was so excited when 'The head chef' Tamara told us of what was coming up! 2 of my favourite artists coming together like this!!

Now The Stamping Chef and Simply Betty stamps have joined forces to bring you a fantastic mini challenge - Both Tamara and Betty have designed a Roller Derby Chick for YOU to use for this challenge - NOW both images are free but you only have 24 hours to request so get in the quick!!!!
You will see the details of each challenge below and how to claim your image!

So allow me to present to you….

Kitty Paw
From

First up - isn't she cool! I know I just LOVE her - not my normal style of 'go to' especially with her being so bright and bold but she was so much fun to colour up!
Now TSC side of this derby is a recipe challenge -

1 Ribbon
2 Buttons
3 Papers (Inc BG)

The ribbon I have used is from my stash as well as the buttons - I was shocked to find two matching buttons in my stash! The papers are from 'MME Pretty Please' paper pad that came with one of my magazines ages ago - quite a sweet pack really!! I matted and layered each section with some kraft card I had stashed away, the 'You Rock' was cut on my cameo.  The image was coloured with copics;

E000, YR20, R20, R46 B60
R21, R02
YG03, YG05, YG07
RV21, RV25, RV29
T3, T5, T7
W0, W2
B60

I also added a dot of 'liquid pearls' to her piercing on her chin to make it stand out more!  Well I hope I may have inspired you with one side! You can request this image by sending an email to Tamara here with the subject heading of Derby

BUT WAIT!! Don't go yet….

Yes I have more to share with you!! The team at TSC were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Betty's image as well… Yes so now please allow me to introduce to you….

From

Now for Bettys challenge we had a colour combo to work with - you may recognise it a bit as I did try to include it in my TSC creation

Now I have to say these colours are so not what I would normally work with - BUT it has been so much fun to try and be out of my depth!  The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, R22
T3, T5, T7
YG03, YG05, YG07
Rv23, RV25, RV29

The papers are from my scraps and the embellishments are from my stash! This is has been so much fun playing along with these two amazing companies!
Now you can request this image by sending an e-mail to Betty here with the subject heading as Derby!

Now remember you only have 24 hours to claim your image so get them quick! The challenges will run from Today (August 21st) through to August 28th 11:59pm - Each artist is offering a $10 gift certificate and the winners will be announced on Frida August 30th 2013.

I hope I have inspired you to join us all and I know you will be seeing many more fantastic creations along the way!!

Thanks for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think!
Hope to see you again soon

The glowing Mermaid

Afternoon all, well finally back from our fantastic little break, we had a wonderful time, although it is catching up with me now!!! Anyway I thought I had done this before I went.... Obviously not as its not here, and so im here today with a creation for the Simply B Facebook Challenge.  Every motnth Betty kindly allows us an image to work with and a theme, we have a month to play - This month we had the choice of two images and the theme of 'Good v's Evil'.

I chose to use the gorgous Spika the Bad Mermaid - she is available here from the store. At first I had all these wild and wonderful ideas of what I was going to do, but the past few weeks have caught up on me and I let her slip to the back of the pile.  Then when I looked again I was stumped as to what to do with her - I really should make more notes as I go!

Anyway I did eventually come up with something - on this occasion I had to keep her quite simple, but I think she has turned out OK

I coloured her with copics

YG00, YG01
V04, V06, V09
E21, E11, E51

The tag was cut by hand and the sea weed and crab were cut on my cameo.  The flowers were white but I covered them with TH DI Black Soot to make them black, the pin is from my stash! Well I hope you like her - If you have a moment I would love to know what you think

I would like to enter this tag into the following challenges;

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon

Simply Steampunk Challenges

Good Morning! Hope your all well! Been a busy busy few days here - today we take the kids to Peppa Pig World! They don't know it yet….. can't wait to see their little faces!

So I'm here today with my final post a GDT over at Simply Steam Punk Challenges :(
I have to say although these images are not what I would normally pick up to play with I have LOVED every moment of playing with them!!!

So today there is a new challenge starting and the theme is

'Metal'

I did kind freeze when I saw the challenge - I coloured the image about 5 times and nothing looked right so I went somewhat simple…..

I know what your thinking, not your normal sentiment for a steampunk! But for some reason every time I looked at her the words just popped into my head!  I coloured the image with copics;

E21, E51, R37, R39
C0, C1, C2

The sentiment and frame round the image were cut on my cameo.  The metal corner was from my stash and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts :) I do hope you like my creation, if you have time I would love to know what you think!

Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you will join the wonderful team over at Simply Steampunk's Challenges :)

Summer Fun - A bit of Digital Scrapbooking!

Good afternoon all, well the weather has been bliss here, so sorry I haven't been about much the past week - since the madness of the lead up to the blessing I let everything else get away from me!!!  So now I'm trying to be on major catch up - with little to no luck with the beautiful weather - however I have had to stay inside for a while today as its soooo hot - and so then I remembered that I had asked to join in with the FB challenge at Simply B Stamps - I have coloured the image loads and ended up throwing it away as I ruined it with the background :(

And so the bright idea came to me to digitally colour it - Not something that I often do - BUT as I took some photos of the kids on their new swing the other day I thought I could make a little digital scrapbook!!!

And so here it is - if your looking for the image from simply B she is on pages 2 and 4

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed making this - I don't get enough time to scrapbook as i never feel it looks right, when I do get to, I love to incorporate my digs, this just seemed a win win situation today :)

Well I hope you like my little scrapbook :)

Thanks for stopping by hope to see you again soon

Frames….

Good Morning all!

Well as some of you may remember back in October last year I joined in with the 13 Days of Halloween challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges - when it came to an end I was offered a GDT spot and I just had to say yes! so here I am today with my first post :)

Im hopeful that you have come from Kaylou's blog - if not then pop back to the Simply Challenged Challenges blog and you will see the complete list on there :)

So the challenge for the next two weeks at Simply Challenged Challenges is

FRAMES

It stumped me! and with being unwell recently I found it even harder but I got there in the end.  I decided to keep it quite simple for this challenge and have made a card using Stylin' Betty

I coloured the image using copics and then used my nesties…. I had to be cleaver here and while the die and paper were still together I used my craft knife and cut the inside out :)

Well I hope you like my card and I hope you will pop back again soon

Bettys Burlesque Hop!

Evening all I hope your here for the Burlesque 2 Hop - you should have come from Kaylou's Blog - if not pop back to the start at the Simply B Stamps Blog! - firstly I am so sorry my blog has been so quiet recently - crafty inspiration seems to have been lost in getting the craft room :( I have been trying so hard and maybe pushing myself a little too much to try to get creative without anything to show for it -

BUT at some point in the move I did have a little buzz - It was almost defiantly the stunning new images from Simply B Stamps - the deal was you didn't know exacty what you were buying other than they were Betty's but if you purchased the first few - you get the last few free - and oh my am I so glad I got them! you can find them in the store in both rubber and digi!

So I LOVE them all - and I can't wait to be able to finish the rest up to share with you but today I have to share Betty Swinging On a Star - I just LOVE everything about her!

I think I was aiming for a circus look as she reminds me of one of the artists that we saw last time we were there.  The image was coloured with copics;

Copic

Keep it Simple

Good Morning! Sorry my blog has been so quiet had a lot on recently, what with 4 weeks of quarantine   due to chicken pox and now were in cause of the snow but lots of good stuff has happened in-between! I finally have a craft room!!! Yep I know its so nice to have my own little space although it is taking some getting used to! I will get some photos as soon as I can!

Well Im here this morning with the 2nd challenge over at Creative Creations Challenges.  I have to say WOW what a turn out last week! Really hope this challenge will be as good!!! So the theme I hear you ask….

Keep It Simple

Its something I always struggle with - I do like embellishments!!! So our sponsor this week is the Wonderful Digital Delights and they are offing the winner a $5 voucher to the store.

So onto my card.  Now with moving all my craft stuff up to the room it has been a bit hard to remember when I put everything - so I have used the beautiful Lola Sif Digi from Simple B Stamps

The image was coloured with copics a while ago and it was by change the ribbon matched perfectly! The card blank was a 6x6 scalloped and I ran it through my big shot with a 6x6 embossing folder! I love the way its turned out!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Merry Kiss-mas

Good morning - how are we all today - I'm suffering once again with tooth ache - not sure why though :( Never mind! Im here to share with you a very quick candle that i have decorated - I purchased a few a weeks or so ago when I went shopping - unfortunately this one was damaged when I got it home so I have made it for a family member! I have used the gorgeous Santa's Little Helper Rio from Simply B Stamps.

I coloured the image with copics and die cut it with my nesties.  The tree is a Memory Box die and the webbing is from That Craft Place.  Im hopeful that inspiration may strike again soon - I have little Miss A ill and I have a tooth ache so I'm going to rest for a while! Catch you later!

The Betty Hop

Good Evening!!!

I hope your here for the Betty hop tonight! This has been so exciting!!

Anyway I hope you have come from the talented Trudie  if not then pop over to the wonderful Betty and see what she has made to start us off!!!

The idea of this hop came about on the SBS fan page on Facebook - the only rules was it has to be a Betty image from Simply B Stamps that you use - should really be your favourite.  Well I have quite a few and so it was very hard to decided…. But  there was one I constantly came back to - it was one of the first ones I brought.  So introducing Movie Gala Betty.

I just love this one - one thing I have noticed though is that I always colour her monochromatic, I don't know why - when ever she comes up to colour she is always done in similar colours - I suppose I just feel it suits her!

I coloured the image with copics

E50, E01, E03, E55

The papers are from my box of loose papers and the 'unforgettable' was in there too.  The butterflies are punched from kraft card using my martha stewart butterfly trio punch.  The rhinestones are from my stash as well as the corners - I must get more of them as I LOVE using them at the moment!  I also used my SU distressing tool and my TH inks to age the edges.

I really hope you like my card, I have had fun making it and can't with to give it to someone special! So now you much hop along to Celina to see what she has made!

Thanks for stopping by!

see you soon

Trick or Treat??? lots of Pictures

Afternoon all , well I'm still recovering from yesterday - we had an amazing day - I have to say it was the the best Halloween yet! Kids loved it and although they had quite a bit of sugar they were shattered - and so was I!

Just a few photos of the day to share with you;

Ohhh I was so impressed with my table - all that I had made over the last month was on it as well as a beautiful card from Anda and I won the lovely little 'BOO' from the amazing Trudie as well as the card on the other side - at least I could pretend you were here!!!

Amelia SO loved taking the insides out of the pumpkin!! Her face was a picture all the way through - Nancy how ever was not so keen!!! and she did a pretty good job of it too!!! although the design she chose took me over an hour to carve!

…. My baby did apple bobbing - we were shocked - she does not like water in her face!! and she got it out - the problem was she kept putting it in and taking it out - she's only 2 1/2 so very impressed with her!

And my all time best ever Pumpkin - I know I complained a moment ago about how long it took BUT - I had people as where I brought it from - not sure if to be complimented to offended!!!

So all in all it was a good day had by all!!!

Anyway back to the purpose!!  This is a bit of a sad post as its the last one for the 13 Days of halloween Challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges :(  I can't believe that I have managed to participate in all 13! At times its only been because of some special people pushing me - you know who you are!  I have struggled at times but I have SO enjoyed myself - First a BIG thank you to all the DT for their inspiration for each and every challenge and the lovely comments they have left!

Ok so I suppose rather than waffling I should just get on with it! OK so the challenge for day 13 is

Show us your favourite Trick (technique) or give the team a Treat

Well I think what I'm about to share is a bit of both - firstly the cupcakes - they were not cooked by me - I can't and don't cook cakes cause well they always turn out rubbish so a BIG thank you to my friend for cooking them (they were rather scrum my that had chocolate orange chocolate on the top!) but I did decorate them with some lovely decorated sticks

I have been wanting to do these for so long, its thanks to my little die cutting diva Nancy that they were all cut - they didn't take long to make at all and the kids loved them and even took them home after the party!!! Here are the details on how I made them

(1) Print your chosen mage at 5-6 cm high (I wanted mine quite small)
(2) I used a circle punch to punch the areas of the image I wanted to use
(3) Using my Nesties pinking circles I die cut the black circles slightly larger than the punch
(4) Colour as required
(5) take the point off of a cocktail stick - add double sided tale to the back of the image
(6) Attach cocktail stick at required hight to the back of the image
(7) stick to backing circle and there you have it!

I did on a couple of occasions add more tape over the cocktail stick for added security!!!

So next up I have to share with you have I made for the witches, devils and monsters knocking at my door….  what a yummy looking box of chocolates one may think

And oh yes the kids thought they were in for a right treat…. let them get close, maybe even touch a chocolate

and out jumps the beautiful Banshee Lola!!!
I don't think some parents were too impressed with me last night…. I did have one or two walk away with a shocked look - maybe I really am a mad woman!!!

Now I will give you a quick tutorial on how to make this

You will need;

Empty chocolate tin (plastic is best)
Wooden spoon
Your Chosen Image Coloured or as you wish
Scissors
Sweets - lots of them!

(1) Take your chosen tin and roughly in the centre make a hole - I did this using my scissors - Make sure the hole you make is big enough for the handle of the spoon to fit through

(2) Stick your chosen image to the wooden spoon - I use the back of the spoon as I felt it gave the image more shape - make sure you use strong tape or even glue the image to the spoon - you don't want it falling off half way through!!!

(3) Turning the tin up the right way, slot the handle of the spoon through the hole - the handle of the spoon is great to carry it by as well!!!

(4) Now fill the tub back up with sweets to hide your image and wait for them to come calling!!!

well I hope you like and understand my little tutorial! I know the kids loved this so much! I just wish Halloween was more than once a year! Now I would like to enter this card into the following challenge

Simply Challenged Challenges - 13 Days of Halloween - Day 13 - Trick or treat

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon
