Creative creations Challenges - Less is more

Good morning! Were back again - thank you to everyone that joined in with the challenge over at creative creations Challenges!! Some wonderful entries - although we are now a 'just for fun' challenge we still have a top three as chosen by the DT so pop on over and take a look!!!

So this challenge is a bit different… were looking for your creations that have as little as possible on them… the theme is

Less is More

I have decided to join in with team B this week as this is a creation that I have not shared with you yet! I had seen the idea around quite a bit on pintrest and decided to give it a go myself….

It was very simple to do - I just cut the tape into lengths and stuck them down, using my big shot I die cut the sentiment and mounted it on sticky pads, a nice and simple card!!! I think I will be making a few more of these very soon for various occasions!!!  I do hope I have inspired you to join us this week over at Creative creations, pop over and take a look at what the rest of the team created :)

See you again soon :)

I have lots of ideas that I can't wait to get down on creations - I keep nothing things in my notebook so I can't remember these ideas - you know what its like as soon as you go to put it down…. it vanishes!

Yes I'm really getting into my magnolias at the moment - I'm getting more and more used to them (and more and more of a stash of them!) This is the sweet Tilda with Little Rudolf  - I think this one has to be one of my favourites for this Christmas. The image was coloured with copics

Reindeer
E40, E41, E43, E49

For A Special Little Girl

Good morning! Well the BIG NEWS - finally we should finish the girls room today - the carpet is on its way and they should be back in there tonight! Whoop! you all know what that means - I should have a craft room soon! Yeah!!!!! I'm hopeful to speak to daddy nicely as he is off work on Friday to install me a desk and then I can start getting my stuff up there and in place! I can't wait!

Anyway back to why I'm here! I recently had to set my Facebook page back up - and when I did I had A lovely lady contact me asking for a custom order - she really wanted a card I had done but wasn't sure as the image had dark hair and her daughter had blond hair - I told her not to worry and leave it with me - re-coloured it for her and she was over the moon - the challenge was when she asked for it to be an 8x8 - it has been so long since I have done an 8x8 I panicked - but after lots of strops it came together

It took me ages I had to pick it up and put it down on so many occasions - but I came back fighting every time!! I used the lovely 'make a wish; from Sugar Nellie, she was coloured with copics and I added stickles to her wings as well as some liquid pearls.

For the first time I used some ribbon sliders - **TIP** as they were plastic I coloured them with copics so they tied in with the rest of the card - I will be doing this more and more now - so nice to have all the elements coordinating!

Lots of dies came out to play too - Im so LOVING my dies at the moment, every letter was cut with the Quickutz squeeze 'Daisy' font - Its my all time favourite!!! Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Craft Room Challenge - Punches and Die Cuts
Our Daily Bread - Christmas
Top Tip Tuesday - Kids + Tip (please see above!)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

Good Afternoon - how chilly is it today? brrr - so I'm having a day in the warm catching up with the horrid house stuff and will be getting crafty later on - have so much to do now but I thought I had to pop in and share with you my latest creation!  I have finally pulled out the rubber stamps and after a few bad attempts I hit it!

This is Wish Upon A Star from Sugar Nellie available here - she is so cute and so lovely to colour.  Now it has been a long time since I have done an 8x8 but I was asked for one - it did take me a while to think and plan but I got there in the end,  I coloured the image with copics.  I also used lots of different die on the card! Im quite happy with how it has turned out! I hope you like it - I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

2 Sisters - Favourite Christmas Stamp (I LOVE this girl!)

Its coming to thats time….

Evening - oh my it has been so long since I have blogged - I am so so sorry! I have been non stop with orders and trying to get ready for Christmas! I just haven't stopped - but I am loving being so busy - so yes as I have been busy I have been creating and it seems to be flowing quite well!!!

Im here to share with you today what has to be one of my favourite Winter/Christmas images of 2012 - the gorgeous Winter Fairy Halla from Mo's Digital Pencil - It has been so long since I have coloured a Mo image - so yes it took me longer than I hoped but I am so pleased with the results

The image was coloured with copics

B000, B00, B01
E000, E00, E02
W2, W4

I used a few of my new dies too - I'm so obsessed with Memory Box dies - they are just so lovely to use the cut is perfect every time - and they have little holes in that back to help you get the die cut out!! (little things and little mind I know!).  I die cut the image with my nesties as well as the scalloped edging.

The papers are from the 6x6 Dovecraft Back to Basics Christmas - I do really like these papers as they are christmassy by not over kill if you get me! Well I hope you like my card I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

Christmas Cards in Feb

Morning all, well I think I have lost the plot... I have started on the C word and its only Feb!
OK so yes I'm hopeful to be more 'organised' this year, as hopeful I should have a craft room soon(ish) and that means I can make mess and not clear up till I'm finished! Oh I can't wait.  Things have been on a bit of a stand still with the house as we are waiting on workmen to come in! So need it to be finished now, feel like its dragging on!

Ok so this is going to be a quick post as I need to get Nancy ready and go out... Amelia has discovered Barbie and is desperate for one of her own!!! So yes... Im off Barbie shopping! LOL

I have used the gorgeous Old Saint Nick from Sugar Nellies available over at Funky Kits.  I brought him last year and due to the move I think he was neglected! This year he will be seeing more ink! Amelia Loves him and is desperate to start her christmas cards!!!

I coloured him up with copics, I have no idea what ones as I didn't write them down, Im not sure on his gloves... think next time I will make them a different colour!

Here he is a bit closer, The shadowing looks a bit funny here, think I may need to touch him up a bit!!

Well i hope you like him! I will be back soon with more creations for you! Remember the new challenge blog Inked Paws starts on Thursday... Pop over and take a look we have been sharing some of the DT work and there is lots more to come!

Mmmm Red Shoes....

Evening all, well its been a busy day, decided that retail therapy was the way forwards.  So want a pair of red glittery shoes after my little project last night! but retail therapy was struck down when I had to collect paperwork from the solicitors! After lots of phone calls and discussions between me and numerous others - It looks like were moving next week! 4 days before Christmas! Got so much to think about now, to prepare and arrange and so this is probably the last post that I will sit here and wright, I do have some posts scheduled and so I hope they will appear, and I will try and get on to fill you all in when I can!

Well onto what I managed to create last night after the stupidly long post on here, I browsed various challenge blogs and came up with some ideas.  I had a little hunt around and found a stamp that had slipped to the bottom of the draw, its one of the November releases from Whiff of Joy, Ok so it was the website that reminded me that it was there! This week at the WOJ Challenge blog there is a wonderful sketch by Karina!

And from there I managed to create a card from start to finish! Makes a change for me, have spent so much time recently just colouring due to lack of 'crafting goodies' available, and so I made do with what i had, it shows how much you get used to the 'nice' things you have, such as my big shot, there have been so many occasions recently where I have thought 'i'll just cut that' and I can't as I have no dies and no machine at the moment! Anyway enough waffling!

Yes you can no see where my 'sparkly red shoe' idea came from! As a child at christmas I thought of nothing better than having red shoes for christmas, I never remember having red shoes for christmas, I remember being told to wear my school shoes with my dress so we could go to the pub for the 'Christmas drink'.

There is my card, I hope you can all see the sketch in it! I decided to use some ribbon on this card as I have a bit here! The sentiment is also a WOJ stamp.  The papers and ribbon are from my stash.

Here she is up-close, I wanted to keep her as simple as possible, i tend to start off well and then end up colouring it all in, but on this occasion I managed to get it pretty much how I wanted it, I used topic pens to colour and didn't think to note what ones I was using, I was on a roll though! I was so happy with the way she turned out, even more so now that I look at her more and more!

There is the up-close of the sentiment, I did go a bit crazy with stickles last night, I wanted this card to have quite a bit of sparkle on it! I mounted the stamped sentiment onto green bazzill stock and rounded the corners just to soften the edges a bit, as I had used a scalloped edge 8x8 card.

Here is an up-close of the ribbon bows I made, i cannot tie bows for the life of me, and so i make these cute ones! Normally when I want bows I get mum to do them so I make sure she is here when I need her! She is quite ill at the moment and so i haven't seen her for a few days!

I hope you like my creation, i would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Whiff Of Joy - Sketch
Belles and Whistles - Lets Sparkle (lots of sparkles added!)
Hooked on Craft - Christmas
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Outlines Monday - Shiny and bright

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon! If you have a moment I would love to read what you think, look forward to seeing you again soon

Top Tip Tuesday #63 - Let it Snow

Morning all, well I wasn't expecting to be sat here today (well it was meant to be yesterday but i completely forgot to type this up - Sorry Girls!), hoped that I would be running around like a headless chicken,but I'm not complaining, need to chill a bit! Feeling a bit sad that I haven't got any christmas decorations up - and I'm not sure if there is going to be time to get any up before the big day! (in fact I know there is no time, we are hoping to move on the 21st December!)

Well I'm here to share this weeks challenge at Top Tip Tuesday, this week we are looking for your snowy creations, if you go to the TTT blog you will see a wonderful tutorial from Bettina, how stunning is that snowflake?! I so have to find the time to make one!

So come on everyone.....

Nikki from Limited Runs says...

 I've started doing more paper crafts within the last Year and have found it to be very addictive and slowly it's been getting larger. Creating Digi's just happened to be a blend of using my drawing and computer graphix together to create "Limited Runs" which is my little digital stamp store. I've also started Freebie Fridays and will be doing this for a Limited time too. Each may be posted from 1 day to ??? (Limited Time Offer) May you all enjoy my digi's as much as I love to make them.  SO if your looking for some YUMMY cupcakes I've got over 50 Varieties to choose from and lots more with more always in the works.

So here is my little creation..... I can't give too many details on it as I used my mums pens to colour when I was over there last week, The image is from Mo's digital pencil, I love this little man at Christmas, I think he is fab for males birthdays, especially in the winer months, I used him last year for my father in laws birthday.

I decided to go 'away' from the traditional colours, but i do prefer him done in browns with reds or greens rather than purples!!! I used liquid pearls on the base of the image to look like snow, it looks shocking in the picture but docent look too bad in real life!!! The card blank is a scalloped 8x8 and the papers are all from my stash - I thought that i tied the purple in with the backing paper but again it looks more blue with the flash!!! ! The 'tis the season' is from a bo bunny paper pack i purchased just before the christmas rush started!

I thought it just finished the card off, with so few supplies at the moment, i am using limited resources and can't wait to have my stuff back with me, I hear it calling me all the time! I may even get my own craft room at the new house, due to the kids maybe sharing for a few years, and we need a 'computer (make that craft and computer) room!

Well there he is and I hope you like him, sorry I can't inspire you more for the 'snow' theme this week, but remember there is loads of inspiration on the TTT blog, please stop by and see the fab tutorial and let them know that you have been over to see!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

ABC Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafts and Me - Snow/Snowflakes

I hope to be back soon with some photos of the house, I can't wait to hear what you all think!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas is Nearly here....

Yes I know it may be swearing to some of you but I have to say I'm kind of excited about Christmas this year!  And yes, I did have to push the limits and make my blog look 'seasonal'!

Were still in the old house at the moment but hope it won't be long now, they think it may be the week before Christmas, I don't care when I move as long as I start to get a bit of space!
Its all moving along as it should, I will celebrate Christmas late if i have too!

Well as you know I have a lack of stuff at the moment! But I'm plodding on and making do with what I have (and buying new bits as and when I have to have them LOL!).  We have had a couple of big sales this week and have one more to do, then there will be no more till summer 2012! - I have to say I'm kind of relieved, this week has shown the stress onto of everything else!

Im here to share with you a very quick card that i made for a friend of mine, she wanted something from her kids to her sister and fiancé!

I used the gorgeous Christmas Angel from Saturated Canary, I just fell in love with her when i saw her and had to have her! She can be done in so many colours and I'm sure if you cut her out you can take the baubles off and use her at any time of year!

Here she is a bit closer, I used non traditional colours mainly, it was bizarre as I have brought my papers back home and I foot about the blue and purple sparkly paper I had at the bottom of the folder!

Well I can't tell you too much more about her, Im not taking notes of what I'm doing at the moment, but hopefully it will all settle soon! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Saturated Canary - Anything Goes
Crafty Purple Frog - For someone special
Samuel Taylors - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to hear what you think!  I will pop back later in the week hopefully with more creations and maybe a picture of my new house!

More Christmas!!

Morning all, how are we today, well the weather has turned pretty chilly here, I have even put a winter jumper on! BRRRR, Amelia asked to wear trousers to school too, so I think we have skipped Autumn here and gone strait into Winter! I cant believe they are still saying snow for us by the end of October, I so hope not!

Well I am still lacking in every which way to want to do christmas this year, don't know where to start, so I thought I would take a trip to the local garden centre, well as I walked in it was Halloween.... mmmm I don't do halloween! Although they did have a very nice black cat that did have an appeal to him!

mmmm and this is my christmas bug at the moment, not very happy at all!

As I walked through there was a small christmas display, suddenly a 'warm tingle' struck me, if you can call it that, then suddenly in my head i started to sing 'its beginning to look at lot like christmas'.... then it was over..... the reality struck and its not really there... where is the christmas bug - the happy smiley flutterby?

Well I have made one other card though, using the beautiful fairy from LOTV again! Very similar to the last one, but i 'inked' the card blank to try and look like sky, looking at it now, it looks like I have used two different inks, but they are both the same, I think it may be down to the paper I used for stamping!

Here she is up-close again, I do love her, she looks so amazing when she is coloured up and I am very impressed with my self on the colouring on this occasion! You can also see where I have added stickles around the edge of the die cut shape.

Again I used stickles and liquid pearls to add a 'look of snow falling' to the side of the card.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Lady Bugs Craft - No Design Papers
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Sweet Stamps - Anything Goes
Try it On Tuesday - Make it Minimal

Well I hope you like here again! I would love to hear when you think if you have the time!

Going Crimbo Crazy

Morning all, well yes its official, i have gone crazy of how soon christmas is! some of you may have noticed the fab little ticker at the bottom! Yes 88 days to go - still have so much to do, also want to try and beet the christmas rush this year - hate trawling the shops and not being able to get what I want for people! May do it all online this year - mmmm!

Well as some of you may know I went to the Big Stamp and Scrap-booking Show yesterday at Alexandra Palace yesterday! Had a fab day - although i did swear at my dads sat nav on more than one occasion, oh and mum forgot to set it to take us home - good job I chose to ignore what it was saying!

I did make a number of purchases, Lili of the Valley Stamps, Card Blanks, Liquid pearls and many many more bits! I didn't know where to start once I had got the kids to bed, and so I inked each stamp up and started colouring, nothing felt like it was going right last night! But then it all fell together!

This is one of the lovely new stamps from Lili Of the Valley called Angel Harp - She is just stunning, I was so worried about colouring her - especially after seeing the FAB samples at the show yesterday! Didn't think I was going to be able to do her any justice at all! But I shocked my self! I coloured her in using my copics - I must remember to start taking notes of what colours i'm using!

This is the edge of the card blank - I thought it seemed quite Christmasy - I distressed it using tim holtz ink and then added liquid pearls and stickles to add some sparkle!

The die is one of the x-cut nesting shapes - again new purchase yesterday! I love them and cant wait to use them again! I couldn't believe how well they matched the shaped card blank - and i didn't even think about it at the time!

I coloured her using my copics, i then used my pencils around the edge and used the oil and stumps to blend, I then went all out and used my TH DI around the edge too! I was so happy when I looked at here - I added finishing touched using liquid Pearls! You cant see it very well but i did cover her wings in stickles too!

Well I hope you like what i have created, thanks for taking the time to stop by! If you have a moment please let me know what you think! I love reading what you all have to say! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Corrosive Challenges - Punches or Dies

94 Days.... Thats not enough!!!

Morning all, well it has to be said, there is only 94 days until Christmas.... That means I need to be making 3 cards every day to make sure they are all done, now i'm sure its not going to be that bad, its just I NEED to find the bug! I have loads of bit half done and some are for Amelia for school so she can do them...

Well I have managed to do one in the past couple of days but I am finding that I am becoming somewhat critical about what i do an how i'm doing it, I never find my stuff good enough, but then again I did have someone run up to me in Tesco this morning and tell me they need cards for their wife. So from now on... what i create is what it it, it will never be to everyones taste, but i have made it and that is that... OK lets get on with what i'm here for!

Ok so this stamp is from the Whiff of Joy set- Come let us Adore him,, I had been looking for it for ages and came across it on e-bay, I believe it is available from Simon Says Stamp - I love this set, I love Whiff of Joy Stamps!!! They are lovely to colour!  I used a charm from my stash and the twine is from Crafty Emma's I thought its FAB for christmas!!!

I have coloured him using my copics, I watched a you tube video from MIC about creating folds and creases in images, it was completely by accident that this has turned out the way it has, I coloured it in about 20 mins, while hubby watched the end of the bikes! I was so happy with him I couldn't stop smiling and I had to share it with a  few people!

I wanted to used a different sentiment but it didn't look right so I used one from Lili of the Valley, I punched it out and then ran it through my cuttlebug embossing folder! I ten dabbed the top with tim holtz distress ink!

Well I was quite happy with the way it turned out, I dread to think how many more i need to make, so on that not i would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Anything Goes Challenge - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Stamp With Fun - Anything Goes
