Sunday Sketch & Stamp

Good Morning, so 2014 is off to a very creative year so far, I can't believe that I have had the craft room a year next week - where has time gone??  Anyway I'm here this morning with the newest challenge over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp, we have a wonderful sketch drawn by Sam this week

I had lots of fun with this one, well at the time I didn't call it fun as I repeatedly cut the papers wrong! hence why I have flipped the sketch over

(Ins Imag)

Now over the festive period I kept seeing this beauty and just had to have her - so after a little bit of searching I found her this is the beautiful Prima Ballerina Tilda - as soon as she arrived I just had to colour her up!! She was coloured using copics;

Skin and Hair

The papers are from MME Unforgettable collection, I do love that stack I have limited sheets left now so best get hunting for more.  The sentiment was cut using Dienamics Die and the wording is from a SU set I have hardly ever used!!!  I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

The Black Swan

Eveing all - well on the up - yes I sure am - feeling so so so much better now! OK its only thanks to Night Nurse that I am - but I so hope I keep up like this - have felt so so poorly recently!

Anyway - back to why I'm here - can you guess??? Yep the 13 Days of Halloween Challenges - I can't believe we are up to day 10! only three more days :(

Simply Challenged Challenges

I have SO been enjoying challenging myself the last couple of weeks - trying hard to think outside the box and make something different and test spooky!!!

Well Im here with the latest challenge - it stumped me at first - the theme is

'The show'

yep - I know that didn't mean much to me at first then I read what it was about!

'Ghouls, Killers and Witches on the big screen - use any non 'persona' image and make it resemble your favourite movie ghoul, ghost, witch or scary persona'

Ha ha it made NO sense to me - so after goggling 'persona' and lots of chatting I have finally come up with something….

The Black Swan - (Not to be confused with the 1942 swashbuckler film 'the black swan')

Its an American psychological thriller and horror film - the plot revolves around a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet by a prestigious NYC company.  The production requires the ballerina to play both the innocent and fragile White Swan as well as the dark and sensual Black Swan - between two dancers whom audition for the part are bot are embodied with qualities for each part - when the two dancer compete - for one the pressure causes them to lose their tenuous grip on reality as the defends into a living nightmare

Now I will confess and say i have only ever seen snippets of this film - and Im not one for being scared outa my seat - and the bits that I have seen did me NO favours - My sister and my mum have both seen it all the way through and found it quite scary!  And so here is my take on the film 'The Black Swan'

The image is the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy Lola from Simply B Stamps - now I LOVE this girl and it was pretty hard to colour her the way I have - Now I NEVER thought I would colour and image other than the way I thought it should be - and this is NOT how I saw her - BUT I am so so happy with how she has turned out!!! She was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, W2, W4, W5, W7

I die cut her with my oval scalloped nesties and then added memento start nights around the endue.  The paper is a DP that I purchased a LONG time ago - and I have no idea where from.  I also used my sissiz corner dies the I attached to the back of the image to give the swirls and y QC ballet shoes die!

Well I really hope you like my creation - I have to say I LOVE it - and so did my sister when she saw it! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Fairy Tale - Monochrome with dies and/or punches

Thanks so much for stopping by - remember the Boo! Hop (Im sure the other girls would LOVE to have you stop by too!!!) sign up - you could win $15 to spend at Simply B Stamps  - If you have a moment I would LOVE to know what you think of my card!

See you soon

Hugs

The perfect Pair

Good Morning! How are you today? Well I have been running around all morning and have decided to take five minuets for me! If your here for the SBS Secret Release Hop please scroll down below this post!

Ok so I have been silently making Christmas cards - I think this year I think I will just be making cards for special people - I don't think time is too much on my side this year! So speaking of special people this card has been made for two very special people (I SO hope she doesn't see this!) My sister and her FiancĂ© - Theres under 18 moths now till they will be tying the knot!

So I would like to introduce to you
Nutcracker Christian and Sugar Plum Fairy Lola

I think they are so much like my sister and her Fiancé - Nutcracker Christian remeinde me of a drummer boy (thats what tom does - he teaches the drums) and my sister is a ballet teacher!

Now both of these were from a set of limited release digs from Simply B Stamps - They are no longer available but keep checking back - cause you never know!!

Now I coloured them up once as a couple and they looked good but they needed something more - trawling through my digs and I couldn't resist matching them up with a background form MIC!

The image was coloured with copics and the papers and embellishments were from my stash! It took me a lot longer to do that I really wanted it to - but I'm so please with the end result! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes
Challenges for Everybody - Anything Goes
Ippity Challenge - Christmas

Thank you so much for stopping by - I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon!
