Monochromatic!

and we have a wonderful sponsor

They are offering our lucky winner 5 digs of the winners choice from the store :)

Now I don't know why I LOVE this theme so much, I kinda feel its a bit no thinking - specially when you keep it simple like Black and White ;)

I just love xxx available here from the store :) she is so amazing to colour and so cute at the same time! She was coloured with copics

W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W6, W7, W8, W9

The star border has been cut on my cameo - the first time I tried this whole boarder thing and I have to say somewhat impressed with it! I think it will be used more and more :)

Well I hope you like my creation for the challenge this week! I would like to enter my card into the following challenges;

The Betty Hop

Good Evening!!!

I hope your here for the Betty hop tonight! This has been so exciting!!

Anyway I hope you have come from the talented Trudie  if not then pop over to the wonderful Betty and see what she has made to start us off!!!

The idea of this hop came about on the SBS fan page on Facebook - the only rules was it has to be a Betty image from Simply B Stamps that you use - should really be your favourite.  Well I have quite a few and so it was very hard to decided…. But  there was one I constantly came back to - it was one of the first ones I brought.  So introducing Movie Gala Betty.

I just love this one - one thing I have noticed though is that I always colour her monochromatic, I don't know why - when ever she comes up to colour she is always done in similar colours - I suppose I just feel it suits her!

I coloured the image with copics

E50, E01, E03, E55

The papers are from my box of loose papers and the 'unforgettable' was in there too.  The butterflies are punched from kraft card using my martha stewart butterfly trio punch.  The rhinestones are from my stash as well as the corners - I must get more of them as I LOVE using them at the moment!  I also used my SU distressing tool and my TH inks to age the edges.

I really hope you like my card, I have had fun making it and can't with to give it to someone special! So now you much hop along to Celina to see what she has made!

Thanks for stopping by!

see you soon

The Black Swan

Eveing all - well on the up - yes I sure am - feeling so so so much better now! OK its only thanks to Night Nurse that I am - but I so hope I keep up like this - have felt so so poorly recently!

Anyway - back to why I'm here - can you guess??? Yep the 13 Days of Halloween Challenges - I can't believe we are up to day 10! only three more days :(

Simply Challenged Challenges

I have SO been enjoying challenging myself the last couple of weeks - trying hard to think outside the box and make something different and test spooky!!!

Well Im here with the latest challenge - it stumped me at first - the theme is

'The show'

yep - I know that didn't mean much to me at first then I read what it was about!

'Ghouls, Killers and Witches on the big screen - use any non 'persona' image and make it resemble your favourite movie ghoul, ghost, witch or scary persona'

Ha ha it made NO sense to me - so after goggling 'persona' and lots of chatting I have finally come up with something….

The Black Swan - (Not to be confused with the 1942 swashbuckler film 'the black swan')

Its an American psychological thriller and horror film - the plot revolves around a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet by a prestigious NYC company.  The production requires the ballerina to play both the innocent and fragile White Swan as well as the dark and sensual Black Swan - between two dancers whom audition for the part are bot are embodied with qualities for each part - when the two dancer compete - for one the pressure causes them to lose their tenuous grip on reality as the defends into a living nightmare

Now I will confess and say i have only ever seen snippets of this film - and Im not one for being scared outa my seat - and the bits that I have seen did me NO favours - My sister and my mum have both seen it all the way through and found it quite scary!  And so here is my take on the film 'The Black Swan'

The image is the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy Lola from Simply B Stamps - now I LOVE this girl and it was pretty hard to colour her the way I have - Now I NEVER thought I would colour and image other than the way I thought it should be - and this is NOT how I saw her - BUT I am so so happy with how she has turned out!!! She was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, W2, W4, W5, W7

I die cut her with my oval scalloped nesties and then added memento start nights around the endue.  The paper is a DP that I purchased a LONG time ago - and I have no idea where from.  I also used my sissiz corner dies the I attached to the back of the image to give the swirls and y QC ballet shoes die!

Well I really hope you like my creation - I have to say I LOVE it - and so did my sister when she saw it! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Fairy Tale - Monochrome with dies and/or punches

Thanks so much for stopping by - remember the Boo! Hop (Im sure the other girls would LOVE to have you stop by too!!!) sign up - you could win $15 to spend at Simply B Stamps  - If you have a moment I would LOVE to know what you think of my card!

See you soon

Skeleton Dance

Evening - well yes I sure know its evening - starting to feel somewhat rough again - i think once this is posted its wind down for bed! How are you anyway!? SO yes I have been playing with crafty stuff on and off all day!! Once again its for the wonderful challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges - were now on Day 8 - I can't believe it!!!

Simply Challenged Challenges

So this theme is Skeleton Dance - Its a colour and element challenge must use bones/skulls/skeletons and ONLY black and white - well the black and white were easy - but Skeletons…. Ummmmm yep thats where I thought I was stumped….

Ok I can't get it much closer…. I have made another halloween decoration for my home!

I made it using squares of papers and then rolled them into cones, then I used silicone to glue them to a disk behind and then added my image (coloured in black and white) die cut with my nesties onto the decoration. First I used the gorgeous Betty Skellington,

Then I had to use the fab Little Skeleton Oscar - I found it so hard not to colour him in colour! The papers are digital ones - you can't see but one does have skeletons all over it!!!

and then finally I had to use the puppy from Betty Skellington, just so cute! Again these were digi papers!  Now you may be thinking - OK so she has covered the black and white but what about the Skeletons….

Well when I went shopping last week I purchased a string of them, after moving them about a bit  I managed to put each decoration in-between skeletons….

ewwww he is a bit eerie!!! Well I hope you like my creation - I know I'm happy with this one! I would like to enter this into the following challenges

Anything But A Card - Halloween
Catered Crop - Circles
Heck Of A Challenge - Spooktacular

Thanks for stopping by - I would love to know what you think if you have a moment! Hope to see you again soon!

When Betty From The Movies Went Sepia

Evening, how are we all? Well been non stop with school runs today! Nancy loved her 1st day at nursery, I'm dreading Thursday though... think she cottoned on that I snuck off, we will have to wait and see how it all goes! Anyway tonight I have been a busy bee.... I decided that i was going to try and colour in sepia...

And I think I'm part way there - OK so this was the second attempt, my first attempt hasn't been mounted yet, may try to do that later tonight!!  But I'm so impressed with how she turned out.  SHe was coloured using Copics

E50, E51, E53, E55

The papers are from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Gabrielle Collection, I distressed the edges using my SU distressing tool and then used Tim Holtz Tea Dye around the edges. The flowers were all from my stash and so were the pins.

To say I only used four pens I am so happy with how it all turned out! I hope you like my card as much as I do, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Simply Challenged Challenges - Embrace you inner Betty
Try It On Tuesday - Anything Goes
Bunny Zoes Crafts - Girls Girls Girls

Black and White

Evening! what been happening out here then? Well I was meant to be getting my crafty on today... and it kinda didn't happen, got myself tied up with 101 other things! on the plus side we have got the wardrobes out of the girls room ready for the electrician tomorrow.... but now I want the room finished yesterday!

I wanted to get this posted yesterday but never got time.
This is one of the beautiful images from Loo-Loo design, I am the proud owner of two of these beautiful digs and I can't wait to get more

This is the beautiful Maya.  You know why I fell in love with her, yes the butterflies! I just had to snap her up, I sat tapping my fingers waiting for the e-mail with her on!

I used some cut out butterflies from the Whimsy Spring Letter Seal set I have as I just felt it finished it off!

I decided that I wanted to do as little as possible with her, she didn't need a lot of colour to me.  So I went for clean and simple, black and white.

Yes its that Whimsy Stamp again, I'm obsessed with it! but I had to layer up the butterflies! Well nothing more to tell you about this one! I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Anything Goes Challenge - Things With Wings
LEJ Designs - things With Wings
Paper Creations Ink - In The Garden
Paper Pretties - Use Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Life is beautiful, magnificent thing, even to a jellyfish...

As said by Charlie Chaplin, I had heard loads about him, but never really known much, if that makes any sense?!

Well he was my inspiration tonight, I need to make a male card for my cousin, and as you all know I dislike making male cards, men, man, what ever you want to call call them, I personally have a disliking to making them cards, little boys are so easy to create for!

On the subject of boys... Mark (hubby) has a friend over and as he is helping take more paper off the walls tomorrow so he is staying the night.  Now 3 years ago we went to Canada and Richard got the name 'Scary Hairy Man', I will never know why we called him that!  My little Amelia (at just over 4 1/2) was over the moon that Richard was coming over, when he came in that house my little Amelia started blushing! It was so adorable!!

Anyway onto what I'm here for!

This is the beautiful 'The Tramp' from Mo Manning.  I have had him sat on the computer for ages and never used him, never had the 'get up and go' to colour him.  Tonight I have out done my self and Im very proud!

He was coloured with pencils all bar the skin, again the wonderful copics came out, just the normal ones, E02, E00, E000 and R20 for his cheek!  The background was distressed with Tim Holtz brushed corduroy and my wonderful lil sponge thing I have to help me along the way!

I printed everything from my computer, the sentiments were all printed from just using the word document.  I have started to make the first letters on words larger than the rest as I feel it stands more! I believe the font is apple chancery, I love this font and seem to use it a lot at the moment!

While making this card I needed to research a bit about Charlie Chaplin, I love using quotes  from the real person and this one just stood out to me, I would have used so many different ones but this one just felt right!

Now this little tool is one that hasn't seen the light of day for a long time! My quickutz, the card looked blank and as Chaplin was a composer as well as a director, actor ect I felt musical notes would finish the card nicely! I just cut then from kraft card stock.

Yes I even got the guts to decorate the inside of the card, not something that I often do! So all in all it was a pretty good night! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will come back soon!
