Not too Shabby....

So its been longer than I planned this post, life has once again got in the way of taking time to be here - however I am taking a moment to be here now... so its all on the up I suppose.

The past week has been hectic, its all catching up, illness that has been with me for weeks, and I finally think we have found a way to get over it - although I have been told 'rest' well I sit all day so thats resting as I keep telling myself!!!

Anyway I'm here to share with you a card and some crochet that has actually been completed in the past 24 hours!!! Miss A announced the fact it was her teachers Birthday tomorrow (wednesday) and she wanted to give her a card and gift... so I have come up with this....

I know photography skills not at their best but it shows what I have managed to make!!

The card was created using my stash that has been away for far too long!!!

Papers from Prima Tea-Thyme 6x6 pad,
the image of the cute bear from one of the fantastic Lili of the Valley pads,
the plain backing is from Paper Story!
Ribbon from many many moons ago!
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

The coasters have been hand made by me!!  Yes I can actually follow crochet tutorials now :)  Using the amazing Bella Coco you tube!!!  The tag has a very cheeky message of 'one for the coffee at school and three for the glasses of wine needed to recover' - I'm sure her teacher will see the funny side of it!!!

I would really like to enter this into some challenges this week - they are as follows;

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and I do really appreciate any comments left

See you again soon!

Girl Talk - :)

Good Morning!  Hope you are all well today :)

Im here with what I hope is a 'sunny' project for you all - I have had so much fun with the recent new release over at The Paper Nest Dolls that there has really been no stopping me with them!!! BUT there are two that are my favourite from this set - they both remind me very much of my girls in some way!

So I'm here to share with you today a notebook I have made using the cute 'Girl Talk' available from the store.  I have used her son so many creations recently!

She is just so sweet and that hair! Yes you all know I love hair!! I can't help myself with the PND images but to love their hair!!!

I coloured the image with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
R37, R37
Y21, Y26, Y28, Y35
E40, E41, E42, E43
C1, W1, W4

The papers are from MME 'Collectables' xxxx - now I'm not normally one for bright and cheery creations - I'm more of a pastel girl…. :)  BUT I think this came up so well - so I will defiantly try more like this!  The flowers are from my stash and the butterflies are Prima.  I also had to get the cameo out to cut the little 'Hi' - that came out so well!

I hope you like her - I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

Art Impressions - 5 or more Flowers
Creative Moments - Flowers

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what thou think!
Remember to join in over on the challenge blog :)

See you soon

Sparkler Ellie

Morning all - busy busy times at the moment, all is happening so fast!

Anyway hope your all well! Im so excited to be here today to be sharing this project with you - its something a bit different for me.  I just fell head over heals for Sparkler Ellie when I saw her on the new release at The Paper Nest Dolls - you can purchase her here in the shop - You will see why I love her - her face is just SOOOO cute!!

Then I had this idea of making something special for my certain little lady who will turn 6 in just a few days time - she loves to sit and draw - you should see some of the notes we get at the moment!!! So what would be better than her own personalised notebook!

I just LOVE how she has turned out - Im so in love with her hair! The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, R20
E31, E33, E35
R81, R83, R85
YG03, YG17, YG67
Y04

I also used some of the beautiful MME Collections 'Memories' 6x6 paper stack, Im so head over heals for this set - once I had cut it to size I distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink pad - I seem to be using that lots at the moment!  The ruffled ribbon is from my stash - I seem to have a stack of it at the moment!  I also had to use some of the lovely Swirly Pearls from Prima, They are just so gorgous, just wish I could locate them in the UK!  You may have also noticed the additional A - yep cut using the cameo - just felt it made it more personal for Miss A!

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

Crafty Sentiments - Girl Power
Inky Chicks - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Well thank you for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! See you again soon

18th Butterfly

Eveing - I don't know how many times I have gone to write this post and forgotten - its quite scary! Im having one of those days where nothing is quite going right - I decided to cook a roast dinner for tea tonight and somehow after 1/2 hour into cooking the chicken realised that I didn't have enough potatoes… How I did that I do not know - I'm sure I brought potatoes when I last went shopping!  I will confess that I am shattered - did not sleep well again last night - this cough is keeping me awake so much through the night again :(

Anyway back to what I'm meant to be doing! I was asked to make a 18th Birthday card a couple of weeks ago - all the customer wanted was for the image to have blond hair and female - and so what a perfect time to grab out a Saturated Canary Image - one of my favourites - Cerridwen  - I just LOVE colouring her up

The image was coloured with copics - and the papers are all from my stash - I couldn't resist the prima butterfly in the corner - just felt it pulled the orange from the backing paper out a bit.  The die cut circle butterfly is a tonic circle die I have - I just love using it at the moment.  The 18 is just some peel offs (quite relieved I'm finally running out of them!)

Once again I am so please with the way she coloured up - I hope you like her too! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again soon!

More Big News!

** I apologise - I forgot to schedule this!**

Morning! How are we all, well my trip to the dentist ended with antibiotics, they are starting to work but still in lots of pain, keeping on with the painkillers and hopeful that only another 24 hours or so till I no longer have to take them!

Well its been a busy week and I confess that I have got myself behind with all my DT work due to my teeth!  But I do have some more big news to share with you.  While being a vegetable I had a message from the Lovely Carlyann from Sweet and Crafty asking me if I would like to join the DT over at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges - I applied a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot that I had! and so what more could I say - Have you seen the talent over there? I just had to say yes!

DT Badge

I didn't think that I was going to be able to share the news this week due to my tooth but I managed to put something together to share with you today! Before I share my creation with you let me tell you about this weeks challenge.

'For The Boys'

Yes - we are looking for your creations for all the boys out there.  Our sponsor this week is the wonderful

I hope you will pop over to the shop to take a look at what they have to offer! Some lovely stamps over there! Well I suppose I best share my creation.  On the 28th June my amazing husband and I will have been together 8 years! (I'm sure I would get less for murder - only kidding!) I can't believe that 8 years ago we didn't really know each other and here we are married with two amazing little girls (well sometimes!) So I have made him a card - just to jog his memory!

I have used the beautiful 'A Little bit of Country' from Sarah Kay, the image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53, E55 E57, and a splash of R20

The Image was cut out using Spellbinders scalloped ovals, they have been sat in my stash for quite a while and never really been used!

I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye to distress the paper the image is stamped on,  the papers are Prima Sun Kiss 6x6 stack and the mini flourish in the corner is cut using Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork all these are available from My Mums Craft Shop. The flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and some I purchased from e-bay a long time ago!

I just had to sneak a close up of this in - at first it was meant to be a 'trial' to see if I could colour in sepia effect - I was so impressed when it turned out the way it did! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafting for all Seasons- #29 For Men (1st wk)
Desmet Designs -  For the Men and Boys (ends 29th June)

Big News

Afternoon, How are we toady? Well I have been suffering with stooped toothache since Friday evening, I am now taking paracetamol and Ibuprofen every few hours and I look like a hamster... oh if only I had a food store, I'm so hungry right now, but can't eat :(

Never mind onto my BIG news... well sat at my computer the other day and the lovely Joanne from Crafty Sentiment Designs sends me a message on Facebook, I had to read it twice before it sunk in, she was asking me to be on her DT! I couldn't believe it! I was chuffed to bits of course you know what I said.... YES! - now we had a new release on Friday and I did everything I could to make a card for it, but the evening went crazy, and then with the toothache arriving I haven't been up to much!

Meet Kaye - Thinking Of You, she is available over at the Crafty Sentiments Design Shop

I think she is so adorable and I can think of so many things I want to do with her.  She was coloured using copics and the papers are all from Prima Sun Kiss Stack.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamps and the flower is made form some Prima petals I had in my jar.

Well I hope you like her! I can't wait to do more creating for Crafty Sentiment Designs! I will be back really soon!

Hugs

Love

Morning! what a shocking morning, after being in winter socks yesterday I am shocked to say that today I am wearing a summer dress... yes the sun has come out! I can't quite believe it myself! I thought I had been abducted this morning when I got up!

Anyway I have been on a bit of a roll recently! Quite enjoying trying new things when colouring and colouring images that I never thought I could or would - and I have actually used a rubber stamp! Yes, another shock! I was quite scared as its been so long since I have used a clear stamp and well... it turned out kinda well!

This is a beautiful new stamp from Sarah Kay, I have always loved her images but never been confident enough to colour them... in the past i have had her stamps and sold them on without even using them... but this one is different...

They are just the cutest couple ever! I struggled to find a nestie to fit them, I seem to have more square than round, must change that! The image was coloured using copics and the papers are from Prima Sun Kissed 6x6 stack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - (I'm slightly obsessed at the moment) the butterflies are cut using Die-namics Butterflies die.  The lace and rhinestones are just from my stash, the edges of the image were bruised with Tim Holtz Old Paper DI.

Just had to share a close up of the image, so happy with her dress and his trousers, I can't wait to colour this image again! I hope you like it as much as I do, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps - One or more Pins

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon
