A Warming Candle

Good Morning - brrr its so very very chilly and the weather looks well odd!! Yesterday when I looked out there were leaves on the tree in out garden and today - well little to none left on it! Anyway I'm not here to discuss trees and leaves but I am here to share with you a candle I have recently made! I just fell in love with this image when I saw a friend on Facebook colour it - I just had to have her.  This is the beautiful Winter Fairy Talva from Mo's Digital Pencil.

You can see exactly why I fell for her - she is just so adorable! I coloured her with copics and die cut her with my nesties.

I used some of the gorgeous webbing from That Craft Place and the ribbon is from my stash.  I also had to squeeze the beautiful Memory Box die cut in there too! Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this candle into the following challenges;

Crazy Amigo - Colours of Winter
Crafty Bloggers Network - Christmas Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again soon

For A Special Little Girl

Good morning! Well the BIG NEWS - finally we should finish the girls room today - the carpet is on its way and they should be back in there tonight! Whoop! you all know what that means - I should have a craft room soon! Yeah!!!!! I'm hopeful to speak to daddy nicely as he is off work on Friday to install me a desk and then I can start getting my stuff up there and in place! I can't wait!

Anyway back to why I'm here! I recently had to set my Facebook page back up - and when I did I had A lovely lady contact me asking for a custom order - she really wanted a card I had done but wasn't sure as the image had dark hair and her daughter had blond hair - I told her not to worry and leave it with me - re-coloured it for her and she was over the moon - the challenge was when she asked for it to be an 8x8 - it has been so long since I have done an 8x8 I panicked - but after lots of strops it came together

It took me ages I had to pick it up and put it down on so many occasions - but I came back fighting every time!! I used the lovely 'make a wish; from Sugar Nellie, she was coloured with copics and I added stickles to her wings as well as some liquid pearls.

For the first time I used some ribbon sliders - **TIP** as they were plastic I coloured them with copics so they tied in with the rest of the card - I will be doing this more and more now - so nice to have all the elements coordinating!

Lots of dies came out to play too - Im so LOVING my dies at the moment, every letter was cut with the Quickutz squeeze 'Daisy' font - Its my all time favourite!!! Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Craft Room Challenge - Punches and Die Cuts
Our Daily Bread - Christmas
Top Tip Tuesday - Kids + Tip (please see above!)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

Time for Spinning Webs….

Evening all - so sorry I haven't been about much - not exactly feeling the ticket at the moment!  Had a day of resting and just being lazy - it has been lovely! But to keep me away so I actually sleep tonight I have been creating again….

Simply Challenged Challenges

Yep I have another creation for the 13 Days of Halloween challenges over at Simply Challenged Challenges - this has been so much fun - I can't believe that we are on day 5 already!

The challenge this time is

'What A Wicked Web We Weave'

SO basically the creation needs cobwebs and spiders….
So I will admit that I still have a bit of a thing for making things glow at the moment! Hence todays creation.  Its a very simple one but in the dark looks sooo effective! ohhh and I'm very proud as its recycled!!!

I just LOVE the shape of the bottle (its the Tesco own rose wine!)  so after taking the labels off and washing it I started planning!!! The ribbon is some that I purchased from e-bay a week or so ago!!! I thought it was perfect for this challenge.  I coloured the beautiful Banshee Lola with copics

E50, E51, E53
V91, V93, V95
E000, E00, E02, R20, R83

I die cut a black scalloped oval from my nesties and then the spiders web it created from the Cheery Lynn dies that I purchased for That Craft Place (You so need to shop there - FAB service!)

I filled the inside of the bottle with plastic spiders and the lights are battery operated ones from the £1 shop! Well I hope you like my creation - I would love you know what you think!

I would like to enter this into the following challenge;

Simply Challenged Challenges - 13 Days Of Halloween - Day 5 - Webs and Spiders

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Pens + Rubber + Ink = A First!

Morning all, well I have Amelia at home till at least Wednesday, that's if I can get her to start eating.  Its so hard when the children are ill, I wish I could be ill for her.  Im so used to seeing my big girl full of life and answering back, she just hasn't moved for 2 days! but she is on the up and we are hopeful that tonight/tomorrow she will start eating!

Well I have had a little bit of crafting time in-between cleaning and nursing! you know one of those start stop crafting moments - this is why I can't wait for the craft room to be finished, at least I will just be start stop up there, not start stop and tidy up for 5 mins crafting!

Well the title says a first.... yes I have made a tag that matches the card for the first time ever and it won't be the last! I has so much fun doing it! It was one of those... mmmmm i need to use this new stamp but I'm not sure what to do... mmm and there we have it!

This is the gorgeous Blush Bonnie from TGF, I have had her sat there a while and haven't had the time to use her, Im so glad I have used her now and can't wait to use her again, I think I have to cut more tags today and go on a mission of cards and tags!

Sorry about the rubbish up-close photo, I am half asleep today and tried several times to take this photo! And so I gave up! Blush Bonnie is available here.  I do have the Babette somewhere and I hope TGF bring out more like these as i love them so much

The paper was DoubleTake from the cupcake series I believe that I brought this when the craft shop round the corner was closing down, I do have a few in the stash, the ribbon was from my lil jars of yumminess! It matched with the combo on her dress really well.  She was coloured using copics;

Skin; E000, E00, E02, R20,
Hair; E29, E27, E265
Dress; RV29, RV34

Now the combo for her dress was just a random... well lets try and I will be using that one again!  The tag was cut using my Cricut and distressed using my Tim Holtz inks Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Brushed Corduroy, I love adding a touch of brown to things at the moment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

One Stitch At A Time - Anything Goes
Card Making Mama's - Make It girly
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Shellys Images - Anything Goes
Just Keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Well I hope you like my card and tag, as I have said I can't wait to make more!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon!

Birds in my Hair

Morning!
Oh hasn't it turned cold! Its raining today, and I had to do the school run with both kids! Left Nancy in the car outside the school, ran Amelia in and ran back to the car! Well I have been busy but not as busy as normal... haven't been feeling too creative! Had the party(s) over the weekend and thankfully the weather stayed dry! It was pretty cold thought! Anyway I'm here to share a card with you - at last I hear your cry!

This is the beautiful Braid in my Hair, the new release over at A Day for Daisies.
I saw these image add i just HAD to have them!

I used lots of bits and pieces that I found on my big clear up last week! I found the ribbon flowers  still in their packet... the paper... well that was buried at the bottom of a box, I never really liked it before, but last night it just worked!   I also used some of my yummy Washi Tape... Oh how I love that stuff at the moment, I have a few rolls!

I used my Bazzill Jewel template and some of my rhinestones just to add some bling.  I also found some small bows that I forgot I brought - They fit so well with this image!

Heres the image up-close! I tried to give the sleeves a sheer look.. think I need to try a bit more!! Not to happy with the way I have coloured the birds either! But I can't wait to try this one again! I have coloured loads up and hope to be on a Making Mission this next week.. so watch this space.  Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Hello Friend

Hello! how are we all today?! This weather is just FAB! hard to think that we have summer weather before the end of March, just hope that we don't get too many 'April Showers', I don't like rain! Although with the hosepipe ban I think we are going to need it!

I have been on a roll.... pitting together cards that I started and never finished! I coloured this little one over the weekend, I had even chosen the papers and done the ribbon... and then just lost the will with what to do next... and yet today I have taken one look at her and she came together...

I believe she is an Elizabeth Bell, Im not sure if she was for Sugar Nellies?  If anyone knows please tell me, just so I can make a note next to her! I love to know the name of the image I'm using and what company she is for! s

I coloured her using my Copics, and the other bits and pieces are just from my stash.  I love the paper, not sure who its by or where I brought it from... I know if i see it again I will be buying some more!

The ticket stamp is from Whimsy Stamps but the sentiment inside is from Whiff of Joy, it was only when looking thought this morning I thought about using other words inside the shape... I so need to buy a die to cut these tickets out!

The rhinestone flourish was created using my Bazzill Template, I think that will be a 'very used' toy for a while!
I am so happy with how this has turned out, even with all the stressing when I first started on her!

Well I hope you like her, I can't wait to try and use her again!
Just a reminder, I have some candy here, please feel free to sign up!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Divas By Design - Use A Stamp
Freshly Brewed - Spring
Paper and Such Design - Spring or Easter

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon

Together we can....

Hello again! Well yes the Mojo returned last night, after browsing the internet paying visits to some of my favourite blogs I became inspired! Its thanks to this beauty from Saturated canary called Boobie Love....

Krista has been so kind and she is giving her away! SO a BIG THANK YOU Krista!

My printer has been playing up and I have run out of ink, I thought I had ordered more before I went away... but I haven't and so yesterday I did order more and I have had the e-mail to confirm it this time!

I think my printer was feeling nice at the point when I printed her... The image next to her was 'invisible'... So the printer knows it was a good cause!! I used loads of bits from my stash including a packet of brads that I forgot about!  She was coloured with copics and spectrum Noirs.

As the printer had run out I had to write the sentiment, I wasn't too happy about that and hope that when the ink arrives I will be able to 'patch it up' so to speak! the rhinestone flourish was created using my 'long lost' Bazzill template, I forgot I had it and it jumped out at me on Monday!

Well I hope you like her, I can't wait to see more and more people create with her!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

7 Kids College Fund - Shades of Spring
Waste Not Wednesday - Use forgotten stash (template)
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes

Onto my creation this week! It was all a bit last minuet as I forgot Amelia had an easter bonnet competition at school and so the night before the parade I was sat her looking for inspiration!  So out came the tissue paper... ribbon and the duck my Mum made for Amelia's 1st Easter... and the creation started!

I was quite up-set to cut the duck from her stand... but I didn't have too many options at this point!

The flowers were made by cutting tissue paper to about 5x7, concertina folded from the long side, ribbon tied at the middle and the layers separated.  I used about 15 layers of tissue paper per flower.

Isn't the duck so cute... I do give all the credit for her to my mum, she spent hours on her!

The bonnet was a success at school and everyone loved the duck!
