The sentiments are a mix of Lili of the Valley and Whiff of Joy all stamped onto kraft card stock to match the matting of my other papers.  The flowers are from my stash, mainly Wild Orchid Crafts, I did get a bit brave and tried to mix my flowers up a bit with the help of one of the girls on the team :)

Friends are Angels....

Me again! Yes I know, I have been on a mission, need to make the most of the kids being outside while the nice weather lasts, I wish it would last for the whole 6 weeks... Don't know what I'm going to do when it starts pouring! Anyway since I have been home I have managed to make a card... and I'm in the process of the second one! I missed my pens so much, it was lovely to get home and now since I have moved a lot of my stuff into the lounge I hope to craft more!!!

Now I apologise for the poor photo - only just managed to wipe all the photos from the camera and the light is not on my side to be taking photos at the moment! But this is the beautiful Fancy from Saturated Canary

She is so stunning and so wonderful to colour, the image was coloured with copics

Skin; E000, E00, E02, R20, R83
Hair, E55, E57, E59
Dress and Ribbon;  BG49, BG57, BG18 with a touch of Black Prisma Pencil
Roses; R20, R22

The sentiment is from a clear set of stamps that seem to no longer have a packet and the flourish is cut from a Memory Box die, as it was cut from white paper I coloured it using my BG57 to tie it all in.  The papers are from my stash, I'm not sure what ones as they were loose! Well not bad to say I haven't touched pens for over a week - I can't wait to colour her again! Well I hope you like my card, I would like to enter this into the following challenges;

Classy Cards and Such - Die Cuts (Down the side of the image)
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Do You Stack Up - For A Friend (the sentiment says 'friends are angels without wings)

Hopeful

Afternoon, Happy Jubilee Weekend! Are you partying the long weekend away? We were meant to but.... sure enough the kids are on holiday and its tipping it down! We did have a busy day yesterday, Amelia had a little show to do over in Stoke Poges with her dance school, it was lovely and we had some friends join us there too, it was a shame about the weather, and it turned into a very late night!

I have to tell you its been a bit of a rubbish week, things have just happened one thing after another, unfortunately we had to have my mum and dads dog sent to heaven last Thursday, its hit us all a bit, she was 16 and will be missed so much.  I haven't even had the get up and go to have my pens out, so I'm sharing a card I made at the beginning of last week.

Meet Hopeful from Wee Stamps,   I have to say that when I made this card I was hopeful that the week was going to get better not worse!

I fell in love with her the moment I saw her, she has a longing look, The papers are form Prima Fairy Belle collection 6x6 stack that I purchased here.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pin and cheese cloth are all from my stash and the butterflies die is from here.  She was coloured using Copics,

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20
Hair - Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Top and Flower - R22, R24
Trousers - B000, B00

I die cut the circle using Spellbinders Large Circles and the went round using my SU distress tool, I then used Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink pad around the edges.

Im so happy with how she turned out,  I just hope the bug comes back again soon, I have a fir bit to get on with, hope its just a glitch with the horrid weather! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Catch The Bug - Anything Goes
Crazy 4 Challenges - Add a Butterfly
Crafty Ann's - Flowers and Butterflies

Well I hope you all have a fab jubilee weekend! Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon

Before the ink ran out!

Morning! Looks like another beautiful day! Yesterday I had a fly buzzing around my house all day (one of this you can hear it coming a mile off!), when I questioned this with a friend on Facebook... she told me it was the crafty fly and it was here to help! And help it did! I think its all coming back... slowly and simply but its coming!

Anyway further to my previous post where I told you the ink ran out... well this card was made using the 4'.5'' bit of the print that looked normal - well as normal as I think it looked! I think it was meant to be more green than turquoise... but still I worked with it!

Yes its another beautiful image from Tiddly Inks! now this one I hadn't seen till the other day when it came up as a suggestion that I might like it!  Oh don't you love adding things from the suggestion and then realising that you have spent way more than you should have!

The flower is one that I purchased from the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show last year at Ali Pally.  Its one of this that I fell in love with but never worked out what I was going to do with it!

Ingredients;

Medium - Copics - E000, E00, E02, R20, C4, W7, W5, BG49, BG57, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39
5.5 x 5.5 Card Blank
Papers - Digital from Sassy Designs and kraft
Image - Tiddly Inks

Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

City Crafter Challenge - A Rose is A Rose
Flourishes - Use a Flower

Things Going Wrong...

Isn't always a bad sign...

I have been feeling really down recently with my creations, even thought about selling all my stash.  I have decided to take a couple of weeks out to find the bug again, just take the pressure away and find the 'inner crafter' again.

Last night I decided to go through the DP's I have on the computer and started playing around with a few, just shrinking the design and repeating it across the page, just cause well... no reason at all really!  Anyway,  I purchased some lovely papers from Sassy Designs last week (They have a sale!!) one of the sets I purchased was the Absinthe Digital Paper Pack (I got the solids too!).  So I shrunk the design down and decided to print... and WHAM.... the ink went half was though printing, it went from the lovely deep colours, to washed out browns... I cried, at that point I could have thrown it all out!

But I walked away and I thought, and I remembered the digs that I brought from Tiddly Inks... Now they have been following me for ages, not something that I would normally colour but these we shouting 'Buy me, Buy me' and so I did....  and then this fell together...

Yes it all just fell into place, including the paper that I was printing.  I couldn't believe it when I looked at it this morning....

Everything looked so good, so nice and as I want all my cards to look.

I have had to sit and admire for a while before I have been able to post this.... just realising that I put far too much pressure on myself sometimes, I am still taking a break and if the creativity flows... well so be it, I'm not going to push myself.  Ok so a bit more info on the card for you!

6x6 Scalloped Card blank
Image - Tiddly Inks
Papers - Digital- Sassy Designs  and Kraft card stok
Tim Holtz Ink Pad - Tattered Rose (distressed the edges of the Kraft card stock)
Medium - Copics; E000, E00, E02, R20, E04, E08, E31, E33, E35, E39, E37 C4, W5, W7

I didn't know what occasion to make this card for, so I have added a small sentiment to the inside of the card from Stampin Up, it says 'Wishing You Love and Laughter forever after' (I would have decorated the inside but no guarantee that the paper will turn out the same!).  I will be adding this card to my Facebook page under the category or 'Love, Engagement and Wedding'.

Well I hope you like my card, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Hooked on Crafts - Flowers
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Stamps + Fun = Creativity - Anything Goes
Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes
Tiddly Inks - Flowers

Thanks fro stopping by, can't wait to read what you think! See you soon!

Happy Birthday Princess

Morning, how are we today? Well things should start rolling with the house again tomorrow, the electrician is due in and we hopeful that the re-wire will be finished pretty soon, desperate to get the girls back in their room and then get my craft room sorted.... not long now, probably 3-4 weeks (I'm hopeful that it will be sooner than that)!  Starting to plan it all in my head, where things will go and how to make best use of the space!

Any way before the room is done I still have 101 things to do, including organising Amelia birthday party, i can't believe she will be five at the end of June, where has time gone?  She has decided to have a build a bear party and we can actually do it on her actual birth day!  So with thinking about her birthday I decided to make her a card from Nancy.

Meet Queenie and Princess for Saturated Canary , as soon as I saw this digi it reminded me of the girls and i HAD to have it.  This card turned out a lot more simple than I wanted it too...

But sometimes simple is better.  I didn't want to add to many embellishments, knowing what Nancy is like with cards she would try and tear it apart, so I kept in minimal three buttons all with a bit of twine through!
One things I did make sure of is I tried to make the image look like my girls....

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20 R83, B05
E51, E58 (Queenie) E50, E51 (Princess)
E43, Y28
BV02, BV000, BV11, BV13

with a splash of prisma pencil!

The sentiment is from Lili of The Valley,  I stamped it on Kraft card stock, Im loving using that at the moment, must start using it in different ways!

Creative Craft Challenge - Anything Goes
Crazy Amigo Challenge - Mother and Child (The image could be used as Mother and child)
Papertake Weekly - Cute, Cute, Cute
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
Saturated Canary - Happy Birthday

Let us Dance In The Sun,

Morning! well what a pants weekend... well not completely pants, but the weather sure has been, typical that Amelia is back at school and the sun is shining now! but how long will it last? So what have you all planned for the week? I plan on making a few more cards as well as getting the order of wedding invitations finished and well thats about it!

So anyway yes I have been playing again, seem to be on a mission at the moment... I have been playing with the beautiful Cerridwen from Saturated Canary, she is defiantly one of my favourites at the moment!!

This is actually a 6x6 card... shock horror as normally my cards have been 8x8 so I am somewhat impressed with myself! The papers are from Prisma the Fairy Belle collection I purchased them last week from here (with a touch of Kraft behind each layer), ohhh and my mum found a small bit of gauze in the cupboard that she gave to me so I added some of that too!  The sentiment is from the Whimsy Spring Letter Seals, it should go in a circle but I thought it was perfect just like it is and I thought the wording was perfect with the image!

She was coloured using copics;

Dress/Butterflies - R81, R83
Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 cheeks, R81 lips, G43 eyes
Hair - E33, E35, E37

I used a combo on the hair that I haven't used in a while... I know what I haven't used it, cause I was avoiding re-filling the pen... oh am I in a bit of a 'inked state' today! Oh well... It will go in time!

I also distressed the edges using my Stampin Up Distressing Tool and Tim Holtz Viantge Photo (Yes i let him near my work again but I was very careful this time! Once was enough on messing things up!)

You can see the gauze better in this photo, Im not sure on it, I know a friend of mine is sending me some cheesecloth so I am now intrigued to see if there is a difference at all?

Yes I had to add some added butterflies, they were punched from Kraft card stock and distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and then some diamond stickles to finish! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Use some Sparkle
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, Its been lovely having you here, if you have a moment I would love to read what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

Something A Bit Different!

Evening, well this morning I was feeling inspired, then I had to do the house and lost it... then I took one look here and felt inspired again! Yes that is the wonderful blog of Pop's.  Her work is amazing and it really inspired me this morning.  I noticed while doing that looking back post how my cards have changed and how much more I want them to change.

Anyway another bit of inspiration was the wonderful Krista Smith who draws all the beautiful Saturated Canary images, she released some new ones yesterday (I'm sure most of you know that!) and i just couldn't wait to get my hands on them! this one in particular!

Meet Cerridwen, isn't she just beautiful!

You know I couldn't resist her with those butterflies! I was fortunate enough to have her last night but felt so poorly that I didn't have the energy to colour after all, so have made her my mission today.

This is a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps available from Quixotic Paperie, the set is called Whimsy Spring Letter Seals, you can find the set here. I stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

Ok so this bit gets complicated.... So I purchased some of the lovely pre-done flourishes from The Hobby House yesterday and they arrived today (now thats what i call 5* service and I will be back there!), but at 1st it fitted on my card... and then it didn't (I'm probably about to confess to one of the biggest crimes...) and so I cut it down, and that didn't work, and so I cut it some more and then...

Yes I kinda bodged it back together to fit how I wanted it to! I think it looks pretty good though! I used some of my Kraft card stock I have had hiding for an age! I also used my SU distressing tool and the TH Vintage Photo ink pad round all the edges of the papers - I will be doing more like this!

So back to the image... Oh I'm so in LOVE with this image, all of Krista's  are lovely to colour but this is one of the ones I think I will colour time and time again! You can just see the black dots I added to the wings of the butterflies I did this using a finer marker.

She was coloured using copics

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 cheeks and R83 for her lips, E59 Eyes
Dress - R81, R83 and R85
Hair - E55, E57, E59
Butterflies - YR68, R14 splash of R83

The papers were purchased from BeBeBuBu (another company that offers outstanding service!), they are the Prisma Fairy Belle set, one of the papers was a 12x12 but from the same collection (I SO have to get more! They are SCRUMMY!).

The flowers, butterfly charm and lace were all from my stash, I love finding things that I forget I have! Didn't realise I had such a stash of lace! Well I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Digi Doodle Shop Best - Pink And Brown
Shellies Images - Pastel, Kraft and Flowers
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to hear with you think!  Also please stop over at Pop's blog, I'm sure she would love to have you there and she is SO inspirational!

Happy Mothers Day

Morning all!!! Yes I have made a start on mothers day! As were away this year there is NO hope of 'forgetting' and having a last minuet making session!! But on the plus side.... I can have a day off, hubby will be with us and so I CAN and WILL put my feet up for the day!!!

I brought a new stamp this week, I have seen it about and forgot about her, then saw her and just couldn't resist! This is the beautiful Petal Melody from Crafts and Me.

She is so nice to colour!!! I have coloured her a few times in different combos, just to try and see what colours I can make!!! I have made this card for my Grandma for Mothers Day, its a bit simple but she isn't one for fancy fussy cards, she would rather things were simple but effective, i thought this was just perfect.

I coloured for the 1st time on Kraft, quite impressed with how she has turned out.  I was rather nervous that it would look horrid or I would make the colours run, but she has turned out quite well!!  She was coloured with copics

Hair - E37, E35, E33, E31
Dress - R17, R14, G05, G07
Skin - E95, E11, E00, E000

The card blank is a 5x7 and the papers were just bazzill scraps from my draw, I added some peel offs for some bling!

I hope you like her.  Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!
