A Christmas Candle

Good morning! Hope your all keeping warm - this weather is horrid!!! I can cope with the frosty crisp mornings but this horrible wet, damp mornings are not for me! Bring back the summer I say!!

Anyway I'm here today to share something a bit different with you today, last year I attempted a few candles for decorative items at Christmas, well as I still had some here I have given them another go - now the idea of melting the image into the candle and I do not get along - it always goes wrong, so I have decided to make a 'cuff' for my candle!

Its turned out much better than I expected! So pleased with the result! I have used the beautiful Santa Lucia - she has been sat on my desk for ages watching me so I just had to make something with her.  She was coloured with copics.  I used my nesties to die cut her and also used the scalloped ovals to layer her.  I added some Memory Box die cuts around the edges to add some character.  I also used my MS punch for the leaves and some flowers from my stash.

The image is held onto the candle but some lace and ribbon that I have stuck with some extra strong glue.  You can't really see it but I then added some spots with stickles all over the candle!!
All in all I love how this has turned out - I'm thinking of keeping her for us for Christmas!!!
I hope you like her too I would like to enter this candle to the following challenges;

Addicted to Stamps - Punches/Dies
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Come and get it Challenges - Christmas Gift
Magnolia down Under - Jingle Bells
Allsorts - Make a Gift

Thanks so much for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think!
Hope to see you again soon

Today Im here to share with you a commission I did using the adorable Penguin with Gift from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Now this has to be one of the easiest Christmas images I have ever come across and is so much fun to colour!

For A Special Little Girl

Good morning! Well the BIG NEWS - finally we should finish the girls room today - the carpet is on its way and they should be back in there tonight! Whoop! you all know what that means - I should have a craft room soon! Yeah!!!!! I'm hopeful to speak to daddy nicely as he is off work on Friday to install me a desk and then I can start getting my stuff up there and in place! I can't wait!

Anyway back to why I'm here! I recently had to set my Facebook page back up - and when I did I had A lovely lady contact me asking for a custom order - she really wanted a card I had done but wasn't sure as the image had dark hair and her daughter had blond hair - I told her not to worry and leave it with me - re-coloured it for her and she was over the moon - the challenge was when she asked for it to be an 8x8 - it has been so long since I have done an 8x8 I panicked - but after lots of strops it came together

It took me ages I had to pick it up and put it down on so many occasions - but I came back fighting every time!! I used the lovely 'make a wish; from Sugar Nellie, she was coloured with copics and I added stickles to her wings as well as some liquid pearls.

For the first time I used some ribbon sliders - **TIP** as they were plastic I coloured them with copics so they tied in with the rest of the card - I will be doing this more and more now - so nice to have all the elements coordinating!

Lots of dies came out to play too - Im so LOVING my dies at the moment, every letter was cut with the Quickutz squeeze 'Daisy' font - Its my all time favourite!!! Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Craft Room Challenge - Punches and Die Cuts
Our Daily Bread - Christmas
Top Tip Tuesday - Kids + Tip (please see above!)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

This is Wish Upon A Star from Sugar Nellie available here - she is so cute and so lovely to colour.  Now it has been a long time since I have done an 8x8 but I was asked for one - it did take me a while to think and plan but I got there in the end,  I coloured the image with copics.  I also used lots of different die on the card! Im here to share with you today what has to be one of my favourite Winter/Christmas images of 2012 - the gorgeous Winter Fairy Halla from Mo's Digital Pencil - It has been so long since I have coloured a Mo image - so yes it took me longer than I hoped but I am so pleased with the results

The image was coloured with copics

B000, B00, B01
E000, E00, E02

Lets Go 'Haunting'

Evening all - well this is a very late post from me - I have been lacking in MOJO for the past couple of days and I don't know why - I have managed to do 11/13 of the challenges over at Simply challenged Challenges and this one - well I just had no get up and go - But after being told off for thinking of giving up - something came to me - well three things if I'm honest!!!

Simply Challenged Challenges

I think it could be that I don't want these to end! It has been so much fun - the different challenges and it has really made me think harder about my creations! So onto todays challenge

A 'Haunting' you will go
Haunted places, include a Haunted House in your project

Well I searched google, pintrest, even tried switching off all together and… nothing… a big blank space…. then it came to me…..

Yep I have sure been a haunting! I found this wonderful template here - its so quick and easy to do (and I printed it onto the black card grate for speed - not so good for my eyes!) But all in all I have to say I quite like what I have come up with!  I have used three of the gorgeous images from Simply B Stamps. First up we have the stunning Witchy Wednesday and the gorgeous Betty Little Munster Lady - I just adore her!!!

The sitting pretty on the end I have used the cute Little Witch Ariel.  All of them were coloured with copics and cut out with a craft knife (I finally found a craft knife! LOL) You can't see in the pictures but I also used a scalloped punch to give the effect of troof tiles on the houses - that took some time!!!

I used a few dies with this as well - as well as I die cut from a lovely friend.  Cause I don't have a spooky tree I used the memory Box die Arboscello Tree and cut some of the leaves out to make it look spooky!!! I also used my Memory Box fence die.  They are all stuck down with silicone - so far they are still standing!

And here it is in all its glory - well I couldn't make spooky houses and not make them light up!

This will be taking pride of place in the centre of the table tomorrow for the girls party! I can't wait to see what they all look like tomorrow and also have some people knocking at the door!!! I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

Cards und More - Halloween
Crazy Amigo Challenge - Halloween

Thanks for stopping by - I would LOVE to know what you think if you have a moment, hope to see you again soon

Feeling Green

Evening all - well another latish post from me, had a strange day today - found out there is a craft shop about 15 minuets away so I decided to pay it a visit - what a beautiful shop - and they had halloween stuff - the whole front window was decorated with ghosts and gules! It was FAB to see a craft shop into the spirit.  So as you can imaging I just had to buy something - mmmm well a few bits - I treated myself to a die and a few papers - It was only then that i was inspired to make another card for the 13 days of Halloween Challenge over at Simply Challenged Challenges

Simply Challenged Challenges

So if you remember the theme is 'Slime and grime' you need to use lime green and distressing - so this time I have kept it a bit more simple than the last one and I hope it counts as there is not too much green but each layer is distressed with my SU tool!

These are the fab bits I purchased from the new shop i found! The papers are just SOOOO fab! I had to use them - the red stipe looks really bright in the photo (I think thats cause of the flash) looking at it here it looks really aged and weathered.  The brown dots are just LUSH! and oh the die - yes I just had to have this die!!

I also added the pumpkin charm sent to me by the wonderful Anda from Crafty Fresian - you have to take a look at her work its FAB! (big thank you's too for sending me them!)

The image is the beautiful Bride of Chrisenstein Betty - she is available from Simply B Stamps! I just love colouring her up -especially green!!!

As I wanted the 'lime' to 'pop' I wanted to keep it to a small area and each layer was distressed with my SU tool (I think you cab see it above!) She was coloured with copics

YG21, YG25, R24, R27, R29, W2, W3, W4, W5

Well I hope you like her (and I hope she is acceptable for the challenge!) You know where I'm entering it too!!!

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again soon

Friends are Angels....

Me again! Yes I know, I have been on a mission, need to make the most of the kids being outside while the nice weather lasts, I wish it would last for the whole 6 weeks... Don't know what I'm going to do when it starts pouring! Anyway since I have been home I have managed to make a card... and I'm in the process of the second one! I missed my pens so much, it was lovely to get home and now since I have moved a lot of my stuff into the lounge I hope to craft more!!!

Now I apologise for the poor photo - only just managed to wipe all the photos from the camera and the light is not on my side to be taking photos at the moment! But this is the beautiful Fancy from Saturated Canary

She is so stunning and so wonderful to colour, the image was coloured with copics

Skin; E000, E00, E02, R20, R83
Hair, E55, E57, E59
Dress and Ribbon;  BG49, BG57, BG18 with a touch of Black Prisma Pencil
Roses; R20, R22

The sentiment is from a clear set of stamps that seem to no longer have a packet and the flourish is cut from a Memory Box die, as it was cut from white paper I coloured it using my BG57 to tie it all in.  The papers are from my stash, I'm not sure what ones as they were loose! Well not bad to say I haven't touched pens for over a week - I can't wait to colour her again! Well I hope you like my card, I would like to enter this into the following challenges;

Classy Cards and Such - Die Cuts (Down the side of the image)
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Do You Stack Up - For A Friend (the sentiment says 'friends are angels without wings)

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

More Big News!

** I apologise - I forgot to schedule this!**

Morning! How are we all, well my trip to the dentist ended with antibiotics, they are starting to work but still in lots of pain, keeping on with the painkillers and hopeful that only another 24 hours or so till I no longer have to take them!

Well its been a busy week and I confess that I have got myself behind with all my DT work due to my teeth!  But I do have some more big news to share with you.  While being a vegetable I had a message from the Lovely Carlyann from Sweet and Crafty asking me if I would like to join the DT over at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges - I applied a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot that I had! and so what more could I say - Have you seen the talent over there? I just had to say yes!

DT Badge

I didn't think that I was going to be able to share the news this week due to my tooth but I managed to put something together to share with you today! Before I share my creation with you let me tell you about this weeks challenge.

'For The Boys'

Yes - we are looking for your creations for all the boys out there.  Our sponsor this week is the wonderful

I hope you will pop over to the shop to take a look at what they have to offer! Some lovely stamps over there! Well I suppose I best share my creation.  On the 28th June my amazing husband and I will have been together 8 years! (I'm sure I would get less for murder - only kidding!) I can't believe that 8 years ago we didn't really know each other and here we are married with two amazing little girls (well sometimes!) So I have made him a card - just to jog his memory!

I have used the beautiful 'A Little bit of Country' from Sarah Kay, the image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53, E55 E57, and a splash of R20

The Image was cut out using Spellbinders scalloped ovals, they have been sat in my stash for quite a while and never really been used!

I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye to distress the paper the image is stamped on,  the papers are Prima Sun Kiss 6x6 stack and the mini flourish in the corner is cut using Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork all these are available from My Mums Craft Shop. The flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and some I purchased from e-bay a long time ago!

I just had to sneak a close up of this in - at first it was meant to be a 'trial' to see if I could colour in sepia effect - I was so impressed when it turned out the way it did! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafting for all Seasons- #29 For Men (1st wk)
Desmet Designs -  For the Men and Boys (ends 29th June)
Scrappy Frogs -  Celebrate Men (ends 30th June)
