So Lucky!

Evening, well I have to say I really didn't think I would be on this much of a roll today, It appears that taking some time out to blog is making me much more productive! I dread to think how many creations I haven't shared with you :(

Anyway I'm back today with a bit of a different creation for me, well its still a card, but its a bit 'green'….

When linking up to some challenges yesterday I saw that there are many 'green' themes out there at the moment, and so I thought it would do me some good to make a card with lots of green! I have used the adorable Shamrock Ellie Rubber Stamp from The Paper Nest Dolls

Sh was coloured with Copics;

Skin and Hair;
E50, E51, E21, E93
E33, E35, E37

Greens and Greys;
G40, G43, G46,
YG03, YG17, YG67
T1, T2, T3

I didn't really know what sort of green to go with and so I chose to colour with lighter colours and then take the matting paper to the darker green.  The flowers are from my stash, mostly Wild Orchid Crafts, the shamrock banner, the tiny shamrocks in the flowers and the 'Lucky' were cut on my cameo.  I added a little bit of ribbon from my stash around one of the layers - If I'm right I think it was an SU one!

 Now although the card is very 'St Patricks Day' I'm sending it to someone that has done so much to help someone in my life recently as I am lucky for all they have done :)

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Marker Pop - CH #38 - Lucky Green
Di's Digi Designs - Make it Green
Open Minded Challenges - Something Green
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Green and Ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will leave me a comment :) Hope to see you again soon

A Non Traditional Christmas

Good morning!
Hope your well, the winter is well and truly setting in - I can't believe how cold it is and how many colds this family have had already… We have all been struck… Mr B is calling it 'man flu - but hey ho!

Anyway I had some amazing news the other day, I have been asked to be a Guest Designer over at Treasured Times! I couldn't believe it when I was asked and of course I accepted!! So my spot is for December but I just fell in love with this image and had to colour her up for the latest challenge over there of

Not Traditional Christmas Colours

Now I don't think many people would think of this image as a Christmas one at all - I sure didn't, she is from the wonderful designer Christine Young - you can see some of her amazing work over at the Treasured Times Store - Please allow me to introduce you to

I just fell in love with her when I saw her and had to get her coloured up - I then felt she just fitted with the challenge!  The image was coloured with copics;

Skin and Hair
E50, E51, E53, E21, E93

Dress
BG23, BGxx, BGxx, C1, C3

Flowers
R20, R22, Y35

The papers are from my stash all mixed up so I have no idea what company. I never normally use black much at Christmas for layering as I feel its too dark but I think it worked really well on here! The Dec 25 was cut on the cameo - oh how did I ever live without her, the flowers are from my stash :)
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

4 Krafty Girls - Anything Goes
Crafty By Designs - Anything goes with a twist of Christmas
Sassy Studio Designs - Not your Typical Christmas
ABC Christmas - Winter Wishes

Good morning! Non stop here today at butterfly HQ - got Miss A home from school as she was awake most of the night! So I'm here to share with you a creation I have made for Stamp and Sketch Sunday -

A little while ago I was asked to join the DT over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp, with all that has been going on here it completely slipped my mind, and so I'm here to share with you today a creation I have made!! The sketch this week has been designed by Berit who is unfortunately no long with us on the DT she has made a fantastic sketch for us though

Now as usual there are a few rules to follow, you can find them over at the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Blog.  I have chosen to work with one of my Magnolias - she has been waiting for me to use her for ages and so today was the day!!

I coloured her with copics

E50, E51, E53, E21, E93
E33, E35, E37
G46, R37
N1, N3
Y37

The papers were from my stash its a pad that I loved last year! Well I hope you like her and I hope you may join us over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp this week

Ahoy There

Morning! hope your all well! Im here this morning with a post for The Paper Nest Dolls :)
It feels like so long ago since I did a blog post for over there :)  So Im here to share with you today something a bit different for me…. not my normal card or attempt at scrapbooking or SMASH*ing…. But something a bit more special :)

Please le me introduce to you

He is just so cute and I love him to bits! Do you like the shape??
Its from the fantastic Sandra's Scrap Shop and cut on my cameo.
I was somewhat nervous at first with making this card up - but it was so easy to make!

I coloured him up with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
B93, B95
C1, C2
Y15

The paper is a 12x12 that I have had in my stash for ages, I used both sides of the paper on this creation.  I distressed the edges of my circle card with Tim Holtz xxxx

I think the hardest part of this creation was the embellishing - the whole thing is about 8'' - its been a long time since I have made something this big! Its a good job I had all the fantastic flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts

I had to use the cameo even more on this creation - I just fell in love with one of the 'Nautical' sets on the SIL store.  This little guy is just 1' tall and look at all that detail.  I added the cheesecloth behind to look like fishing net :)

I added loads of charms too! all on some twine for more of a nautical look - Well I hope you like him! I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

613 Avenue - Anything Goes (Twist of Friendship - It has been made for a friends new boat)
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you have a moment please let me know what you think!! Remember the current challenge over at the PND Challenge blog
Hope to see you again soon

Thank you Teacher

Morning! wow so here we are - 6 weeks of summer holidays!
We have a little planned but nothing too special - well other than off to see a very good friend and Peppa Pig World - the kids don't know that bit yet - I can't wait to see their little faces!

So yes my not so little any more Miss A has finished year one! Where has the last year gone - it only feels like yesterday she was starting?  I can't believe next year is her final year at her school - Miss N starts nursery for 3 days a week in September too!!

So as per usual it comes to that time that you don't know what to get for the teacher to say 'Thank you' - me being me forgot till the night before she broke up! And so the mad panic set in!! I didn't want to do the chocolate or the flowers, I wanted something special and so I made this….

Yes I have braved a floating frame! I saw the file on the Silhouette store and just couldn't resist the words were just perfect!  I cut the file in vinyl so it stuck to the glass - just to ensure no mishaps! The butterflies were also cut from the vinyl and placed inside.  That was a job and a half weeding all those letters!!!

I then went on to decorate the frame with some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and then added some sparkle to them with glitter.  I didn't want to add too much to over power what was there! I would like to enter this frame into the following challenges;

Anything Goes Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks fro stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think of my creation! Hope to see you again soon :)

Time For Tea?

Afternoon all, I think the sun stole my mojo for a while, been sat in the craft room staring at a walls all week,  not been the best of weeks, lots of changes and realisations in my life, BUT I'm on the up now and that is all that matters!

So last night it came to me, yes mojo came running home and we were re-united :) So I made good use of the time and actually finished some stuff off that has been staring at me for well over a week!  I coloured the gorgeous Tea Time Avery  from Paper Nest Dolls  up in a bit of a different style….

Yes I braved the 'No Lines' thing - its was pretty scary and as I have never coloured her up with lines in the first place I don't think that helped!! Plus people are used to seeing various stamps coloured up without lines that sometimes the style is not right, but I don't think she came up too bad!

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
C1, C2, C3, C4
E50, E51, E53,
B93, B95, B97

The papers are from Fancy Pants and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  You can just see round the edge where I distressed using TH Old Paper distress ink pad.

I coloured the pins with my copics so the colours tied in with that on the papers and the image.
I also had to add a little charm in there too!!

the watch just fitted perfectly! Im so happy with how this card turned out! I hope you like her too! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Digitally Sweet - Bright Colours
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Hope to see you again soon :)

'Girl Talk'

Morning, what a wet day yesterday was - I spent most of it with the family and then tucked myself away in the craft room - SO much to do in so little time at the moment!  I can't believe that in just 5 Days hubby and I will be renewing our wedding vowels!  With that said I have been making time for me to do what I want in-between everything else!

If your here for the Summer Release hop for The Paper Nest Dolls  you will be looking for my post that you can find here. If you have just stopped by you have till the 26th June to enter, there is some fantastic inspiration and some wonderful prizes - all you need to do is comment on each of the blogs and make sure you follow The Paper Nest Dolls blog - you can also join us on Facebook - its a fantastic group of ladies there!

So I'm here to share with you a card I have made using one of the newly released images from The Paper Nest Dolls called Girl Talk - she is available here!

I just love everything about her - she reminds me of when I was younger and I had to pull the cord on the phone to sit down and chat to someone - oh how phone conversations used to be shorter in those days when people wanted to get past ect - Oh how times have changed!

The image was coloured with Copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E31, E33, E35, E37
R35, R37
BG11, BG13
W2, W4

The papers are from MME called My Girl, I used my Tim Holtz distress Ink 'Old Paper' round the edges just to add some character.  The scrabble tiles and charm have had sat in my stash for ages, they both just seemed to fit on this creation and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts

Well I hope you like her - she is one of this images that I can think of so much to do with! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Colour me Creative - Colours of Summer
Send a Smile for Kids - For the Girls
That Craft Place - Flowers

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a moment to let me know what you think! Don't forget the blog hop! See You again soon :)

Bubble Bath Ellie

Morning all, well things are starting to go quieter - but not much still got so much to do and not much time - but finally found a bit of time for sitting down and crafting :)   So with having some time I have been playing with my Dolls - NO not like Barbie - the gorgeous ones from The Paper Nest Dolls

Now I just fell in LOVE with Bubble Bath Ellie when I first saw her she is available from The Paper Nest in Rubber and Digi - she has been sat in the pile of 'to colour' for far far too long and her time finally came around!

Once she was coloured though I did become a bit stumped on what to do next!  So after searching the internet for a while I came across this fantastic sketch from Dutch Magnolia Lovers - I just had to give it a go although I don't use Magnolias!

It all just fell together from there, I used my lovely cameo to do most of the cutting - I did take me a while to think of the sizing but it all just came together! Here she is a bit closer!

She was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E30, E31, E33, E35
Y15, Y17
B93, B95, B60
V000, V01
W0, W1, W2

I added some diamond glaze over the top of the bubbles to give them more of a realistic look, once she was dried I stuck her to the circle and cut the excess of the image away, The edges of all the papers were distrusted using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Old Paper, I didn't want anything that was too heavy on the colour.  The papers are all from Dovecraft Back to Basics III - its a beautiful paper pack with all the pinks and purples in! I then couldn't resist with adding some of my flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts on there too!

 I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Art With no boundaries - Anything Goes
Created with love - Your favourite Things (My Pens :) )
Digi Make Over Challenge - Punches/Dies (Used my Nesties)
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Well I hope you like her as much as I do - Remember there is the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge blog that have a fantastic theme of 'Summer lovin' running and only a little more time to enter - why not pop over and take a look and maybe join in :)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to read what you think!
See you again soon

Special friend

Good Morning! I'm getting a little bit good at this! Well the weather here is going down hill fast, I can remember the days of long hot summers, were lucky if we see the sun for more than 5 days at the moment :( Anyway this next week i think there will be quite a few posts from me, I have found loads that I thought I had shared with you - and I clearly haven't!

Im here to share one that I made a while back using a LOTV pre coloured topper, now I'm not normally one for all the pre coloured things but I have to say they do make life easy sometimes! This is a stamp that I have been searching for for ages, never come across it yet - but you never know.  So glad I got my hands on the pre coloured topper :)

I used loads from my stash including some pins that haven't seen the light of day in ages! The papers were all loose in in my box of scraps.  I Love the way this card has turned out! The colours here don't seem to have done it much justice but in real life its so pretty!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Challenges 4 everybody - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think!

Cowgirls Birthday

Morning all, starting to finally catch up with myself again - although I shouldn't speak too soon as we all know what will happen! I hope the weather is nicer where you are - here it is so bitterly cold and they are forecasting more snow this weekend!

Anyway I'm here to share with you a card I made a couple of weeks ago - i have had this stamp a while sat in the draw doing nothing - she has been one of those that I have always so desperately wanted to colour but never had the confidence - till now!

Introducing the adorable Kaydance - I am head over heals for her :)

I just love this little girl! she is so adorable and the little puppy by her heel is too cute! I had a fantastic time colouring her! I also had some time to get the nesties out for this one!

Copics;

E50, 51,21,11, R20
B00, 02, 60
E31, 33, 35, 37
R22

The papers are all from my stash and the ribbon from That Craft Place! The adorable flowers are from Petal Lu! Well I hope you like her - I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

For A Special Little Girl

Good morning! Well the BIG NEWS - finally we should finish the girls room today - the carpet is on its way and they should be back in there tonight! Whoop! you all know what that means - I should have a craft room soon! Yeah!!!!! I'm hopeful to speak to daddy nicely as he is off work on Friday to install me a desk and then I can start getting my stuff up there and in place! I can't wait!

Anyway back to why I'm here! I recently had to set my Facebook page back up - and when I did I had A lovely lady contact me asking for a custom order - she really wanted a card I had done but wasn't sure as the image had dark hair and her daughter had blond hair - I told her not to worry and leave it with me - re-coloured it for her and she was over the moon - the challenge was when she asked for it to be an 8x8 - it has been so long since I have done an 8x8 I panicked - but after lots of strops it came together

It took me ages I had to pick it up and put it down on so many occasions - but I came back fighting every time!! I used the lovely 'make a wish; from Sugar Nellie, she was coloured with copics and I added stickles to her wings as well as some liquid pearls.

For the first time I used some ribbon sliders - **TIP** as they were plastic I coloured them with copics so they tied in with the rest of the card - I will be doing this more and more now - so nice to have all the elements coordinating!

Lots of dies came out to play too - Im so LOVING my dies at the moment, every letter was cut with the Quickutz squeeze 'Daisy' font - Its my all time favourite!!! Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Craft Room Challenge - Punches and Die Cuts
Our Daily Bread - Christmas
Top Tip Tuesday - Kids + Tip (please see above!)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon!
