A cute little butterfly….

Good Afternoon, well its been another long night - poor Nancy is smothered in pesky little spots :( not much I can do other than giver her plenty of cuddles and try to keep her happy - my goodness this young lady knows what she wants!  Anyway I have been busy doing bits here and there….

I was asked the other day if I could do an 8x10 for someone - I thought it was about time I coloured up a big print after all its been a while, and so this is what fell together!

I have to say I am so in love with her - this is the gorgeous I am a Butterfly from CC Designs available from here .  when I was asked to do her the only requirements were that she has blue hair and a pink/purple theme and I have to say she is just so adorable - I was over the moon with the ideas of pinks and purples!!!! So I set to work strait away - she took a while to colour but she was well worth it.  She was coloured with copics;

E00, E21, E11
R30, R81, R83
BV000, BV00, BV02
B000, B01, B12, B21

The photo just does not do her justice!
I also had to add some sparkle to the wings… I didn't want this to be too over the top and so I added it just on the outside lines using my stickles.

As I framed her I had to add a little bunch of co-ordinating flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to the corner - I just stuck these using silicone, again you can't really see the colours and the pinks look more peach but I think thats just the photo!  I then had to add some punched butterflies that I coloured using the BV's as listed above.

Well I hope you like her - I had so much fun doing her and think I may have to do more sometime soon! I would like to enter this framed print into the following challenges;

Can you Digi It - Sparkle (there is sparkle on her wings, flowers and rhinestones)
Crafty Sentiments - Sparkle/Shine and glitter
Everybody Art Challenge - Pastel Colours

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon

My Mums Craft Shop - Ice Cream Flavours!

Morning all! Well what a busy few days - trying to catch up with DT stuff as well as catch up with friends and family - feel like I haven't stopped - and I don't think I'm going to for a while!  The holiday now seems like it was a lifetime ago, and the summer holidays are filling fast with parties and little bits and bobs!! Got busy times ahead and can't wait is all I can say!

Anyway back to why I'm here! Firstly thank you to everyone that joined in last week - remember to pop over to the MMCS Blog to see if you are a winner, now cause of getting back off the holiday I didn't get much time to comment but I hope to find some time to get about and see all the entries!!!

Onto this weeks challenge.... over at My Mums Craft shop were looking for your creations using....

Ice Cream Flavours

Our sponsor is

My Mums Craft Shop is sponsoring this challenge and is offering the winner a £10 voucher to spend in store!

OK, so for this challenge I had to first indulge in my all time favourite Ice Cream... the one and only

Oh yes... after all the work I have had done on my teeth I can finally enjoy a bit of Ice Cream.  Now as you may very well understand that I had to eat the whole tub to really see the colours in the tub (Thats what I told hubby!)... and one tub was not enough, but I think it really helped with the end result!

I have used the beautiful Sarah Kay First Kiss available here.  I so can't wait to get some more Sarah Kay stamps - I am so in love with them at the moment!

So do you see the cookie dough?? I hope you do - my hips have had to suffer for this LOL!!! As I said I'm quite impressed with how it turned out! Sorry for the pants photos - hubby has left the 'long lens' on the camera and I have no idea how to change it! The papers are from my stash, one is Bo Bunny Weekend Market available here - never used this paper stash till now!

The image was coloured with copics

E50, E51, E53, E55 and E57

I decided that a monochromatic theme was best! I can't wait to colour this image up again! So lovely - all of Sarah Kay stamps are lovely! The sentiment is from a clear set I have with no labels on them... so no idea as to what company make them, but the sayings in the set are lovely!

I know you don't find them in Ice Cream... but I had to add some butterflies! This is the wonderful Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Punch - Butterfly available here, I am so in love with it at the moment!

Well I hope I have inspired you to join us this week over at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges.  I can't wait to see what flavours everyone else come up with - remember to pop to the MMCS Blog and see the DT's amazing creations!

Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Love

Morning! what a shocking morning, after being in winter socks yesterday I am shocked to say that today I am wearing a summer dress... yes the sun has come out! I can't quite believe it myself! I thought I had been abducted this morning when I got up!

Anyway I have been on a bit of a roll recently! Quite enjoying trying new things when colouring and colouring images that I never thought I could or would - and I have actually used a rubber stamp! Yes, another shock! I was quite scared as its been so long since I have used a clear stamp and well... it turned out kinda well!

This is a beautiful new stamp from Sarah Kay, I have always loved her images but never been confident enough to colour them... in the past i have had her stamps and sold them on without even using them... but this one is different...

They are just the cutest couple ever! I struggled to find a nestie to fit them, I seem to have more square than round, must change that! The image was coloured using copics and the papers are from Prima Sun Kissed 6x6 stack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - (I'm slightly obsessed at the moment) the butterflies are cut using Die-namics Butterflies die.  The lace and rhinestones are just from my stash, the edges of the image were bruised with Tim Holtz Old Paper DI.

Just had to share a close up of the image, so happy with her dress and his trousers, I can't wait to colour this image again! I hope you like it as much as I do, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps - One or more Pins

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon

Your Special....

Morning! Well what fantastic weather we have had the last four days, its been scorching hot! So glad its holing out for the weekend, lets just hope it continues for the next few weeks... so looking forward to next weekend with the Jubilee celebrations! Going to be a busy one!

Anyway I have had my creative wings back on and had lots of fun, Last night hubby sat playing his guitar while I sat on the sofa colouring... now that wasn't the best idea I have ever had... I ended up rather stiff and the light was perfect to begin with!

This is a beautiful digi that was a freebee a while back.  She has been sat patiently waiting to be coloured for so long and I finally got it together last night.  Im so happy with how she has turned out!

I used the FAB colour combo for her hair as shown on Kirstys Blog called The Odd Girl.  When I saw the combo I just had to try it! you can see it here!

  So you can guess she was coloured with copics

Hair -Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20, R83
Top - C0, C2, C4
Skirt - BG57, BG49, BG13

The butterflies are from a new cutting die I have from Die-namics called Die-namics Butterflies .  I have been trying to get hold of it for a while and never been able to I finally found it in stock over at Dies to Die for.  I added some rhinestones from my stash to add some sparkle.  The sentiment stamp is from a set from Lili Of the Valley.  The papers are from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Paper pad Gabrielle Collection purchased from Bebebubu.

The flowers were from my stash, a box of flowers from when I first started and some from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I love using the wire from the flowers now just to add some dimension, I have used all my leaves from my stash so its a cheep alternative!  I distressed the edges of each layer with my SU distressing tool and used Tim Holtz vintage photo with a sponge around the edges.

I am so happy with this card, it just all fell together.  Im hopeful that another one will happen today! You never know.  Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges - Five or more flowers

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again soon, If you have a moment would love to hear what you think!

Morning, once again I'm late with posting, I will get my life back in order soon.... or at least I hope I will.

So this last week I have not been feeling the crafting, I have 'crafters block' this seems to be happening too often.  But I'm hopeful that the next couple of weeks I will spend doing what I want and how I want and hope it all comes back to be soon!

Anyway enough nattering... I'm here with the challenge at Top Tip Tuesday this week, now we all have that stash thats at least 6 months old that we have forgotten about, you know those bits at the back of the draw, ohh and that ribbon you let slip behind the desk last year... yes we all do it, so this week we are celebrating that forgotten stash and want you to...

the paper was from my stash and i added the rhinestones just to add dome bling and fill in the gap! The sentiment is from Bebebubu - Unity Stamps.  I can't help but love this stamp, so cute and works with so many images and for so many occasions (and every time i see it I sing you are my sunshine)!

I know what your all thinking... whats my old stash, what have I used that I forgot I had?  Well over a year ago I treated myself to the Die-Namics rolled roses die.  It has been sat there and neglected at the bottom of my draw, I final caved and used it for this challenge, I have to say not the easiest things to stick together... Mint and Pink

Evening, well i haven't quite been feeling the ticket, not had any get up and go to craft, don't think its helped that i have decided to raid my stash and re-home it.... I get all hard and say yes that can go, that can go, and then when I package it up... mmm should I have kept it? Oh well whats gone has gone and it gives me money for new stash....

No its not a new stash card, its another wedding!
I have used the lovely 'wedding couple' from Lili of The Valley.

I confess I have been on a bit of a roll with this one, I have had it stashed away for ages, never used till last week, I now fang get enough of them.  Im also getting there with the smaller cards, making 6x6 a lot now, just need to try other shapes rather than square!

The flowers were from my stash, they look very yellow in the photos but they are not like that in real life.
The pins were from my stash, I'm starting to learn to use them more now with the addition of the cheesecloth!  The border punch is an x-cut one, somehow my punches have been in two different draws, so it was a nice surprise coming across it.  I added small rhinestones in the middle just to add some bling, The digital paper was from Etsy and I inked the endues using Tim Holtz Spun Sugar.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

DRS Designs - Wedding
Shellys Images - Anything Goes
Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Waste not Wednesday - Use forgotten Stash

Mr & Mrs

Good Morning! How are we today? Well the sun is shining and well its a good day for me, washing on, Nancy playing quietly, waiting for my food shopping to arrive, will get that away and then chill a bit I think.  marks out in the garage... Ohhh and I'm waiting on my new flowers to arrive.

Anyway, I haven't been up to much, more wedding cards intact, felt like I have been on a roll.  I have to say I have learnt a very valuable lesson in the last couple of weeks.... Plan before you colour.  It makes such a difference.  I think where years back i used to do a lot of classes and everything was decided for you... I dint ever have to think, and from those classes I would buy the papers and stamps act and make the same thing over and over, now things have changed, and its only thanks to certain blogs and people that I have had the courage to try and learn!

This is the beautiful Whiff Of Joy Wedding Carriage Stamp.  I purchased it from a friend a while back and have never had the get up and go to colour it! You can purchase it here.  The paper is a digital I purchased from Etsy - the service from this company was amazing, it was here quickly and the number of designs in each set... well. and there are so many beautiful designs!

The image was coloured with copics I put all my pens away before taking notes, I can't wait to get my new pen storage sorted but that won't be till I move into the craft room!  The Mr and Mrs stamp is another Whiff Of Joy - I think I purchased this with the Bride and Groom.  The flowers were from my stash before Nancy decided to 'water the flowers - I'm loving my flowers at the moment and I'm hopeful to share my new storage for those with you later today! Thank you for stopping by, if you have time I would love to hear what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

Thank You Bridesmaid

Afternoon! Well this is one of thos un-planned posting sessions, right now I cant sit in my lounge at the computer as my longe is a tip! But its all for a good cause, the holes for the spotlights are being drilled and everything is covered in dust sheets! I cant believe how the ball is rolling on it all again at the moment, I dont think it will be too long before we get to move the girls back to their room and get our room done too!

What a beautiful day this has turned out to be, I know the weather report said it was going to be a nice day but I didnt believe them.  So im sat in the conservertory watching Mark cut the grass, he has just told me that I can do some gardening if I want.. mmm no I think just enjoying the heat is enough for me today!

Any way I was hopeful to share the wedding invitations I did last week with you but I havent got a couple of bits that I need before posting and so I thought I would share something else.  This is one of the cards I have made for the bride to give one of her bridesmaids.

I  admit that I was a bit stumped with this one, but it all fell into place, I spent alot of time on the internet looking at other ideas and sentiments and if im honest nothing was too inspiring.  I ended up going to the craft shop and this dress just jumpped out at me.  It was perfect, I didnt want to make the cards too but but the embelishment is 6'' high so the card had to be 8x8.

So yes I do feel like I cheeted a bit, I would have like to have made them my-self, but I didnt know where to start.  I am going to try again in the future though, especially as if I can make them I could do them  a bit smaller, and in other colours.

I had to add a florish just to finish this off, as the theme for the wedding is black and pink I felt these were perfect.  I used my Bazzill Jewel template and all the pink rhinestones from my stash.  I do have another one to make and I am waiting on the rhinestones now, hope the postman brings them!

Well I hope you like my card! if you have time I would love to hear what you think! Thanks fro stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Happy Birthday Holly

Morning!! Firstly I need to apologise for the rubbish photos! I have somehow mislaid the charger to the camera since our holiday... so my mission today is to find it! So I had to take the photos on my phone and at night too... yuck this weather is horrible... its like winter!  Anyway.... Amelia announced at 7pm last night that it was her friends birthday and she wanted to give her a card today... so went went through my little box... and she didn't want one of them, she wanted one with a ballerina one!

and so yes mummy spent some pennies and brought a new stamp just for Amelia's friend... Well she has quite a few friends at ballet that have parties soon so I'm sure it will be coming in very handy! This is 'The Lovely Ballerina' from The Paper Shelter.  I have a small collection of digs from there, I love them as they come with pre coloured ones too and sometimes thats what you need.  I did consider using one last night... But I didn't i coloured her up myself!

She was coloured using Copics;

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 cheeks, R81 lips
Dress, Skirt, Tights and Shoes - R81, R83, R85
Hair - E18, E15, E13

I used lots of paper from my stash, none of them had names on them so I have idea where /what they are! I also pulled out a charm and added a bit of twine to it, and to finish off a rhinestone flourish made using my Bazzill Jewel Template.

All in all I'm pretty happy with how she turned out! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Karens Doodles - For The Kids
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes
365 Cards - Layers
The Paper Shelter - Photo Inspiration

The night Tim Holtz Inked My Work....

Yes... Your all thinking, 'what on earth is she going on about', strange Title I know, but Im on a distressing mission and the ink went all over my work... Now I'm not one to give up - especially not as the whole image was coloured and I was happy with it! So I improvised....

I turned the ink splurges into make believe dandelions... Now I thought that was pretty smart! But now I'm not so sure! It looks OK, you can't tell, looks like tis done on purpose and I'm sure everyone would think they were part of the design! Anyway onto the actuarial card...

This is the beautiful Springtime available from Saturated Canary, she is so beautiful, Love her hair blowing in the wind... She was coloured suing a variety of topic markers.. now cause it was late when I did her I just put my pens away..

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 for her cheeks, R81 for her lips, E59 for her Eyes
Clothes and shoes; R81, R83, B60, C3
Hair - E59, E57, E55

As I say the grass was a few different greens! If I manage to work it out I will let you know!

I wanted to show you another sentiment stamp set I have recently purchased, its another Whimsy Stamp set that I purchased from The Hobby House called Summer Letter Seals, I love these stamps!

Now Im trying to limit the number of pictures I up-load, I have paid for extra storage for a year but need to try and cut back, so I am trying again with the little frame with lots of photos in.

The butterflies were punched from Kraft Card Stock using a xcut punch, I have lost my big butterfly! Slightly frustrating! I distressed the edges of their wings using TH Vintage Photo and added stickles to make them look a bit blingy!

The flourish is the other half to the one pre made one I used on yesterdays card, I wanted to use and and thought it fitted well, that bow is made from organza ribbon, just from my stash!

Bit of a close up of the image , I loving this hair combo at the moment! works so well, but i think tonight I will try another new one.... well I need to order some refills for the current combo!

The flowers were from my stash, I purchased them from Crafty Emma's a while back, they are the Gardenia Petals, I so have to order some more!

Well I would love to know what you think of my card, so if you have time please leave a comment! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Amusing Challenges - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiment Challenge - Anything Goes
My Time To Craft - Garden Gems

Believe in your Dreams....

Well I would if I could make as many cards as the images I colour!

Yes today I have realised that I am obsessed with colouring, if only I had half the get up and go I have to colour to actually make cards, my draws would be less cluttered!

I noticed today while cleaning that I have two draws full of images that I have coloured, half of them I have coloured, I'm happy with, but I will never do anything more with them... Think I need to home them with my mum... she's good at putting things together!

Anyway I have put one together and I do plan on doing a few more tonight! if my pens don't sidetrack me! This is the last one from the A day For Daisies new release that I have coloured up this week.  There is another one or two that I haven't printed yet, so they will be done hopefully next week!

The paper is from my stash and the flowers are the ribbon flowers I purchased last week!  I added the rhinestones to follow the lines on the paper.  As you can see we have some washi tape in the corner... Oh how surprising!  I distressed around the image using TH inks.
Just some close-ups of the flowers and the sentiment! Also a strange angle of the card, just cause I felt like it!

Ok so I was so impressed with my colouring I had to take a close up, I am so happy with the hair colour again! She was coloured up with my copics

E000, E00, R20, B000, Y35 and Y38.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

PaperMinutes -  Newest Stamp
Digital Tuesday - Distressed
