Not too Shabby....

So its been longer than I planned this post, life has once again got in the way of taking time to be here - however I am taking a moment to be here now... so its all on the up I suppose.

The past week has been hectic, its all catching up, illness that has been with me for weeks, and I finally think we have found a way to get over it - although I have been told 'rest' well I sit all day so thats resting as I keep telling myself!!!

Anyway I'm here to share with you a card and some crochet that has actually been completed in the past 24 hours!!! Miss A announced the fact it was her teachers Birthday tomorrow (wednesday) and she wanted to give her a card and gift... so I have come up with this....

I know photography skills not at their best but it shows what I have managed to make!!

The card was created using my stash that has been away for far too long!!!

Papers from Prima Tea-Thyme 6x6 pad,
the image of the cute bear from one of the fantastic Lili of the Valley pads,
the plain backing is from Paper Story!
Ribbon from many many moons ago!
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

The coasters have been hand made by me!!  Yes I can actually follow crochet tutorials now :)  Using the amazing Bella Coco you tube!!!  The tag has a very cheeky message of 'one for the coffee at school and three for the glasses of wine needed to recover' - I'm sure her teacher will see the funny side of it!!!

I would really like to enter this into some challenges this week - they are as follows;

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and I do really appreciate any comments left

See you again soon!

Isn't she just the cutest!  She was coloured with copics, the papers are loose ones from my stash and the sentiment is from Lili of The Valley.  Im trying at the moment to cut back on the flowers that I use as so many of my creations were having more and more flowers on - but I just had to add them on here!

Paper Nest Dolls - US Team

Morning all, so sorry its been so quiet, we still on the 'lead up' to the wedding!! Not long now!

Anyway I'm here today with the next challenge over at The Paper Nest Dolls US, I can't quite believe how the weeks are flying by! We had some wonderful entries last week, thank you to everyone that joined us, please pop to the blog to see the winner and top three, I know the team had a tough time choosing!!!

So this week we have the new challenge staring and its the theme you all love….

'Anything Goes'

This week I have a card I have made for Miss A to take to a party next week - the little one that its going to is very very in love with her Disney Princesses, and so this image was just perfect.  please allow me to introduce to you Genie Avery available here in the store

Now I coloured her up a few days ago and in all the 'wedding stuff' I appear to have 'disposed' of my notes from colouring her.  The 'Just for You' is a stamp from LOTV and the Name is cut on the cameo. The roses are from a die I have, I have rolled them very tightly.  The swirls are also a Die,  All in all I do love the finish on this card!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes (optional 2d or 3d flowers
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will leave me a comment

So over to my creation, I'm so excited that I'm now able to work with some of the new releases over at The Paper Nest Dolls, This week I have chosen to work with the adorable Easter Bonnet Avery for my creation this week.

I know your all thinking that Easter is a way off but really its not! She was so lovely to colour, I chose to use some bright colours on her using my copics;

Now I know you can't see much of it, but I have added some lace behind my image - I wish I had been a bit braver and added some more! The papers are from Bazzill Basics and its called Vintage Marketplace, i have to say its one of my favourite paper stacks!

The sentiments are a mix of Lili of the Valley and Whiff of Joy all stamped onto kraft card stock to match the matting of my other papers.  The flowers are from my stash, mainly Wild Orchid Crafts, I did get a bit brave and tried to mix my flowers up a bit with the help of one of the girls on the team :)

I had to add some butterflies to this one too, I used some of the odds of paper left over with my Martha Stewart punch, I then added some gems behind them to add some sparkle :) Now I'm so in love with this spring like card that I would like to enter it into the following challenges;

The Paper Nest Dolls - Anything Goes

Good Morning, I know its been far too long since I have blogged - I'm think I may have mentioned to you that I have myself a little job, so with that I had to take my leave from a lot of my DT work, not only that but my sister gets married in a few weeks so I'm up to my eyes with all of that too!!!
But I promise you are in for a bit of a treat from me today!

Anyway back to what I'm here for!  So today marks the beginning of a new challenge over at The Paper Nest Dolls - Thank you to everyone that joined in with out last challenge, we had some wonderful entries - pop over to the blog to see if you were a lucky winner!!

So over to the theme, we have the normal 'anything goes', but this time we have a little twist on it for you :) Although the main theme is anything goes, we would love it if we could see some creations with some

'Fancy Folds'

Yep anything that has a bit more than your normal card fold, we would LOVE to see it.

Now I will be honest and admit that I forgot the folds thing - however I do still have a creation for you this week!!  And if the weather here is anything to go by, I hope she will cheer you up!

I have used the adorable Posh Princess available here in the store - I really wanted to make her stand out from the crowd on this occasion - so I used lots of reds - even her hair is red!  I had so much fun colouring her up that I forgot to write down the combo's :(

The papers are from one of my favourite stacks - so favourite that I used every sheet in the stack and have no more :( I decided to keep the red thing going by using that as my matt colour.  The flowers are all from my stash, mainly a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.

I would like to enter this bright and cheery card into the following challenges;

613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Colour Me Creative - Flaming Red

Seasonal Angel Ellie

What beautiful weather we have been having here in the UK - I hope you are all getting some of this summer sunshine too :)

So I'm here with you today to share a new PND creation of mine, I love my PND's - they have something so unique about them! So today I'm here to share a card I have made with Angel Ellie who is available from the store.

Yes I'm thinking Christmas… although I love the summer with the heat and the bright colours, I also love christmas, lots of food and friends and family together in one room :)  As soon as I saw Angel Ellie I had this sudden feeling that I had to make at least one Christmas card with her!

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E40, E41, E42
E31, E33, E53
C0, C1, C2
Y28

I added stickles to the tops of the clouds and distressed the edges of the image slightly with Tim Holtz Old Paper.  The papers are from my stash, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, the sentiment stamp from LOTV and the charm from my stash.  I so loved everything about colouring her up and I can't wait to make more like her for this Christmas! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

For a special Friend

Only me! Im getting better - I have had so much fun creating recently that I have so many to share with you! Its nice to be back here in blogland and sharing what I have made, its a shame about the weather here at the moment though - its going down hill fast! I can't believe we are so far into 2013 - its now time to think about the dreaded C word! Although saying that I am looking forward to it this year!!!

Anyway I'm here to share with you today a card I made for Amelia's friend for her birthday, as I have said before I'm not one for the pre-coloured toppers but I always have something in ready for when I forget that I am supposed to have created something for me or mine! And so here we have a lovely pre-coloured topper from Lili of the Valley.

She just came together so quickly with the papers - and I have to say it was a nice and easy card to make, so I think I will make some more like this when life calms down a bit :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Art with No boundaries - As always anything Goes
Craft your Passion - In The Garden
Fashionista - Birthday
House of Gill - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon

Special friend

Good Morning! I'm getting a little bit good at this! Well the weather here is going down hill fast, I can remember the days of long hot summers, were lucky if we see the sun for more than 5 days at the moment :( Anyway this next week i think there will be quite a few posts from me, I have found loads that I thought I had shared with you - and I clearly haven't!

Im here to share one that I made a while back using a LOTV pre coloured topper, now I'm not normally one for all the pre coloured things but I have to say they do make life easy sometimes! This is a stamp that I have been searching for for ages, never come across it yet - but you never know.  So glad I got my hands on the pre coloured topper :)

I used loads from my stash including some pins that haven't seen the light of day in ages! The papers were all loose in in my box of scraps.  I Love the way this card has turned out! The colours here don't seem to have done it much justice but in real life its so pretty!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Challenges 4 everybody - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think!

A Christmas Anything Goes

Good morning - I know it has been very quiet here recently - too quiet I know- I am sorry but I have been busy - I firstly had some commitments that I needed to take care of and then I had to have a clear up - so anyway I know your thinking - what commitments? well I have been lucky enough to be offered a DT spot at Christmas at Sweet Stampin - I was over the moon when I received the e-mail I couldn't quite believe that I had been chosen to work with such a talented bunch of people!!

So I really hope you will take a look around here at my creation and then pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the amazing creations from the DT.  The theme for this challenge is

Anything Goes

and we have some wonderful sponsors

and a set of Promarkers from Letraset

So now you have seen the grate prizes on offer let me share with you my creation for this - now I am so far behind with everything this Christmas I think with the mojo running it just did not help but suddenly it came to me to make a special gift for Miss A's teacher.

I used one of the beautiful angels from Lili of The Valley - I have had her for a few years now and every christmas she has to make an appearance! The papers are Bazill Basics Believe stack - I have had to purchase another stack this morning as the papers are just so lovely.  My favourite has to be the kraft colour with the snowflakes! I also went round the edges with TH DI to soften the look.  I also used a few nesties on this project - normally one is my limit!

She was coloured up with copics and then die cut with my nesties.  I added some TH DI around the endues to soften it and keep the theme going through! I also added stickles to her wings to make her sparkle.  Now I guess your wondering why I think this creation is so special?!?  Take a look at the inside.

Yep I have made a little candle box for Miss A's Teacher.  I am somewhat impressed with it - I have to say I did take the long route with it though! plus with loosing track of time with it all it took me a lot longer than I expected.  once again the papers on the inside are from the same stack as before.  The candle box was one that I made a couple of weeks ago that I have stuck down using silicone.

I just had to add a sentiment on the inside and so I chose one from a Personal Impressions set called 'snow is falling' I purchased a while back - I die cut it and then added more DI around the edges.  Well I hope you like my creation I would like to enter this into the following challenges;

Lexis Creations - Christmas
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Totally Stampalicious - Anything But A Card
Top Tip Tuesday - Christmas

Thanks for stopping by - I do hope you will join us with this challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin! I can't wait to see your creations! If you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you soon

Anyway I wanted to post this before I went away but time was not on my side and so I am sat here at a strange angle typing! LOL!!! Last week I brought some stamps from a friend, I'm so in love with LOTV any way but when I saw this beauty I just had to have her!!! Meet 'Summer - My best Friend'.

She is just so adorable! Now I apologise for the photo, I don't have the energy to pull out the big camera and so I have used the picture I posted on facebook! The image was coloured with copics and die cut using a new nellie snedden die I have.

Of course I had a think and accepted.... So I can now officially say

I had to watch about 5 You Tube videos to get the nerve to colour him up.... I never colour animals... they are a bit scary! But I took the challenge and feel I did quite well.

The image was coloured with copics, I also coloured the background with copics just to break it up a bit.  The image was cut out using my nesties as well as the scalloped edge. The papers were from my stash and the sentiment from LOTV.

 I added rhinestones just to add some sparkle, the flowers are all from WOC.  I hope you will pop over and take a look at what the rest of the DT have created, some wonderful creations!
