Adele

Evening all, I know some what of a late in the day post for me, BUT I have been thinking loads about this.... and I mean loads!

As some of you know a couple of weeks ago I had the oppertunity to join the MIC hop for the new release of the Alice in Wonderland images, it really made me realise how much I miss using my MIC images that I have - I think I got myslef to a point where I didnt think I was capable of them, and so I have been on a bit of a roll with them this week.

Then the wonderful Zoe announced that she was thinking about starting something new... she told us to keep our eyes peeled as something about to come up - so a number of us sat patiently waiting (well I tapped my fingers *Lots*), it was announced that there was a DT call
And so I looked at the details and I thought yes, no, yes, no, yes.... and so on.

And so while thinking the whole yes v's no - I coloured up the beautiful Adele and shared her on the MIC Facebook group - she has been an image that I fell in love with when I first saw her and i just had to buy her - but I have been somewhat afraid of colouring her since I got her.

The comments I had from so many people in there was amazing it really boosted my confidence and the way I see my own work! And so tonight I have sat here and made Adele into a finished card

Due to the size that I printed the image its a very odd sized card! Its a 7x7 - she was too big for a 6x6 and I didnt think I could handle and 8x8 and so I cut the card to size!
The image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53, E93
E31, E33, E35

The papers are from my all time favouriate Prima 'Fairy Belle'.  The edges have all been distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink Tea Dye, the rest of the embelishments are all from my stash - the rose originally had a loop on it to be hung but I have learnt that 99% of the time you can cut them off!

Well I do hope you like her - I would like to enter her into the DT call at Make It Crafty.
Thank you for stopping by and I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think!

Alice in Pink

Good Morning - again! Yep I think I'm on a roll…. in every way - creativity has been 'flowing' rather well - although sleep hasn't been - not been getting to bed till 2am!  This is the only problem with creativity when it hits me - its at inhuman hours!

Anyway I'm here to share with you a creation that I have fallen head over heals for,  Some of you may have seen the MIC hop last week for the new release images, I was fortunate enough to be a part of it too!!  But life got in the way and I wasn't able to make the 2 projects I hoped for - and so I'm here to share with you the other image I was meant to work with!

Allow me to introduce to you

Isn't she just adorable!  Its the expression on her face that I fell in love with.  Now I didn't want to colour her in traditional alice colours and so I went with pinks!  The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02
E30, E31, E33
R20, R22
C0, C1, C2, C4

The papers are from The house of Zandra purchased from That Craft Place - I just love the papers they have a lovely feel to them and they look so pretty!! The flowers have been in my stash for ages, I can't even think where they are from! Now I have to show her to you a bit closer :)

I just LOVE her, she is so easy to colour!  Pop over and take a look at the other images from the release - you will not be disappointed :) I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Make It Crafty - Smooth Gradients
Card and Scrap - Anything Goes
Just for Fun - Anything Goes
The Crafters Cafe - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Hope to see you again soon :)

Scarlett Hunger

Evening all, yes I know a very odd time for me to be posing - but its been one of those days thats all been a bit strange - Miss N had her 'pre-school' boosters today - she didn't cry till we were home but she did make sure she told the nurse 'you hurt me' and keeps telling people she now has 'holes in her arms'.  Oh an she also has a 'pet snail' called 'Lulu' - she so should have been a boy!!!

Anyway in-between all of todays happenings I decided to be a bit daring for the new challenge over at The Stamping Chef Facebook page!!  This week Tamara has created yet another beautiful image who is available in the store here! (If your a member of the TSC FB Page you can request her free for a few more hours!!)

And so with continuing with the strangeness of the day I got the pencils out!!  Now they haven't seen the light of day for….. well I dread to think (yes I had to dust the case!)!  But after a conversation with a 'new friend' I thought maybe I needed to challenge my-self :) So one decided to 'brave' skin tones with the 'limited' pencils - My initial attempt at colouring her skin went rather wrong… now I don't tend to share my 'glitches' but for a giggle I feel I must!! and so this is what happens when I challenge myself with limited pencils!!

YES I colour what should be 'normal' people with a 'snake like' skin tone…. So I have concluded that I will leave the pencil skin tones for the professionals!!!

Anyway after a bit of thinking I thought it would be a good idea to still use her clothing (As I was rather impressed with the effect I got on her clothes!) and so out came the scissors!! YES this is where I noticed 'Little Boo' is SO helpful in my life these days…. so chomp chomp snip later…..  please allow me to introduce you to

Now I just LOVE her - for me she is a cross between 'steampunk' meets 'good girl' (no longer snake girl!) - she has the clothing of a steampunk and the face of a sweetie!  As you know her clothing was all coloured with my pencils and the added 'blending oil' her skin was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02,
R37

The papers are from my stash, none of them had any details on the bottom, the lace is also from my stash.  The flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little watch charm from That Craft Place. All in all I'm rather happy with how she turned out! I would like to enter her into the following challenges;

Scrap Creations - Anything Goes
Inky Chicks - Lovely Lace
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
LEJ Designs - Lovely Lace

Well I hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! I have to say I LOVE her! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon :)

Good Morning - slowly getting back into the swing of things and the mojo is returning pretty fast - I know it feels so good - well till its 2am and you have so many ideas running round your head that you can't sleep - Never mind I'm just glad to get getting back to it!

Anyway Mothers Day is just around the corner - this year is flying by! I have been working hard on some images that I have fallen head over heals for…. This beauty is called 'One Heart' from Whimsy Stamps - I just fell in love with her as soon as I saw her

She was coloured with copics and papers from my stash.  I used my TH DI's around the edge of the papers and added lace with a metal charm to the front too, I'm so happy with how she turned out.  I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Whimsy Stamps Inspiration - Add some metal (the charm is metal)

Toffee Apples

Yuck - I can't think of anything worse - toffee and apples - NO in my house they do not go together - I never forget as a kid being at a party and them coming out - I was told I would like them - took one bite and ewww I still shiver at the thought!!!

Anyway I can't believe we are at day 11of the 13 days of Halloween over at Simply Challenged Challenges - I have to say I really don't want this to end!!

Simply Challenged Challenges

So the theme on this occasion is 'sweets' we either have to use the colours of candy corn (yellow, orange and white) or Caramel Apples (Lime Green and Caramel) - well tonight I have sat there and coloured a few images in using both options and I have to say I fell for the Caramel Apple!!!

So some details - The paper is Halloween Grunge from Whimsy Stamps - I have to say I LOVE the designs but the papers are a bit 'shiny' for me - not sure how much I will be using them only because of the shine!  The flower was a free gift with some petals I purchased a while ago - I never ever thought I would use this colour!!! The lace is from my stash and coloured with my copics - I also tried to ruffle it as its always something that I have tried and failed at - but on this occasion it worked quite well (my little tip for this is if your using narrow tape put two lies of it down - it sticks better!!).  The goo across the top was sent to me by a very kind friend - I have been trying too get hold of the punch for a while and she sent me some just to help me out - I also coloured it with my copics!

Oh yes and I so had to use the Bride of Chrisenstein Betty  available from the Simply B store! - she is my all time FAVOURITE right now - I don't know why - maybe its cause she was my first one to colour with green skin?!?! Well I decided to keep this quite simple as I have a little plan to make something 'big' with her - but then again she may be on her way to a special family member in the morning!!!

She was coloured with copics (as well as everything else that is coloured!)

E31, E33, YG21, YG25

Well I really hope you like her and I hope that more of you may play along with us over at Simply Challenged Challenges - I have had SO much fun once again with this challenge and although I can't wait for the next challenge I don't want this to end!!!

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges

Craftymess Challenge - Halloween
Di's Digi Designs - Halloween

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have time to let me know what you think of this creation - look forward to seeing you again soon

Well I hope you like it,

My Mums Craft Shop - Ice Cream Flavours!

Morning all! Well what a busy few days - trying to catch up with DT stuff as well as catch up with friends and family - feel like I haven't stopped - and I don't think I'm going to for a while!  The holiday now seems like it was a lifetime ago, and the summer holidays are filling fast with parties and little bits and bobs!! Got busy times ahead and can't wait is all I can say!

Anyway back to why I'm here! Firstly thank you to everyone that joined in last week - remember to pop over to the MMCS Blog to see if you are a winner, now cause of getting back off the holiday I didn't get much time to comment but I hope to find some time to get about and see all the entries!!!

Onto this weeks challenge.... over at My Mums Craft shop were looking for your creations using....

Ice Cream Flavours

Our sponsor is

My Mums Craft Shop is sponsoring this challenge and is offering the winner a £10 voucher to spend in store!

OK, so for this challenge I had to first indulge in my all time favourite Ice Cream... the one and only

Oh yes... after all the work I have had done on my teeth I can finally enjoy a bit of Ice Cream.  Now as you may very well understand that I had to eat the whole tub to really see the colours in the tub (Thats what I told hubby!)... and one tub was not enough, but I think it really helped with the end result!

I have used the beautiful Sarah Kay First Kiss available here.  I so can't wait to get some more Sarah Kay stamps - I am so in love with them at the moment!

So do you see the cookie dough?? I hope you do - my hips have had to suffer for this LOL!!! As I said I'm quite impressed with how it turned out! Sorry for the pants photos - hubby has left the 'long lens' on the camera and I have no idea how to change it! The papers are from my stash, one is Bo Bunny Weekend Market available here - never used this paper stash till now!

The image was coloured with copics

E50, E51, E53, E55 and E57

I decided that a monochromatic theme was best! I can't wait to colour this image up again! So lovely - all of Sarah Kay stamps are lovely! The sentiment is from a clear set I have with no labels on them... so no idea as to what company make them, but the sayings in the set are lovely!

I know you don't find them in Ice Cream... but I had to add some butterflies! This is the wonderful Martha Stewart 3 in 1 Punch - Butterfly available here, I am so in love with it at the moment!

Well I hope I have inspired you to join us this week over at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges.  I can't wait to see what flavours everyone else come up with - remember to pop to the MMCS Blog and see the DT's amazing creations!

Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Amusing Challenges - Anything Goes
Crafting When we can - Monochrome
Pile it on - Cute as can Be
The Hybrid Chick - Ice Cream

Something A Bit Different!

Evening, well this morning I was feeling inspired, then I had to do the house and lost it... then I took one look here and felt inspired again! Yes that is the wonderful blog of Pop's.  Her work is amazing and it really inspired me this morning.  I noticed while doing that looking back post how my cards have changed and how much more I want them to change.

Anyway another bit of inspiration was the wonderful Krista Smith who draws all the beautiful Saturated Canary images, she released some new ones yesterday (I'm sure most of you know that!) and i just couldn't wait to get my hands on them! this one in particular!

Meet Cerridwen, isn't she just beautiful!

You know I couldn't resist her with those butterflies! I was fortunate enough to have her last night but felt so poorly that I didn't have the energy to colour after all, so have made her my mission today.

This is a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps available from Quixotic Paperie, the set is called Whimsy Spring Letter Seals, you can find the set here. I stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

Ok so this bit gets complicated.... So I purchased some of the lovely pre-done flourishes from The Hobby House yesterday and they arrived today (now thats what i call 5* service and I will be back there!), but at 1st it fitted on my card... and then it didn't (I'm probably about to confess to one of the biggest crimes...) and so I cut it down, and that didn't work, and so I cut it some more and then...

Yes I kinda bodged it back together to fit how I wanted it to! I think it looks pretty good though! I used some of my Kraft card stock I have had hiding for an age! I also used my SU distressing tool and the TH Vintage Photo ink pad round all the edges of the papers - I will be doing more like this!

So back to the image... Oh I'm so in LOVE with this image, all of Krista's  are lovely to colour but this is one of the ones I think I will colour time and time again! You can just see the black dots I added to the wings of the butterflies I did this using a finer marker.

She was coloured using copics

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 cheeks and R83 for her lips, E59 Eyes
Dress - R81, R83 and R85
Hair - E55, E57, E59
Butterflies - YR68, R14 splash of R83

The papers were purchased from BeBeBuBu (another company that offers outstanding service!), they are the Prisma Fairy Belle set, one of the papers was a 12x12 but from the same collection (I SO have to get more! They are SCRUMMY!).

The flowers, butterfly charm and lace were all from my stash, I love finding things that I forget I have! Didn't realise I had such a stash of lace! Well I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Digi Doodle Shop Best - Pink And Brown
Shellies Images - Pastel, Kraft and Flowers
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to hear with you think!  Also please stop over at Pop's blog, I'm sure she would love to have you there and she is SO inspirational!

Bambino in Blue

Evening all! well been a busy day today, got all the housework done top to bottom and washing included!  Had an  e-mail from a friend asking for an A4 baby card with Bambino, had a job interview and I got the job, finish the card, family taken for dinner, home and at nearly 10pm I still have both girls awake... Nancy is teething and Amelia just being... well Amelia!

I was so excited when I read the e-mail this morning... my friend and I discussed what she wanted a few weeks ago and we (well I) was on hold until the baby arrived... and yes she had a boy!!!

How I LOVE the detail in this stamp, no matter how big or small you print it, he/she still looks perfect.  So peaceful and adorable....

My friend had said that as a number of people needed to sign this card that she would like it A4, now I have in the past done quite simple A4 cards, so this one was a bit harder as I didn't know how big to print the image.
I printed Bambino at about 6 1/2'' long!

I used some gingham Digital paper I have in an odds and bits file on my computer, reduced the opacity to 70% and added a verse on the inside. Each piece of paper had a length of lace running along the bottom of the page just to soften the edges!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

A Gem Of A Challenge - Pastel Colours
Catch The Bug - Anything goes
Bunny Zoes Crafts - Celebrations (New Baby)
Creative Monday - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks fro stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

Hugs
