Graffiti Party…

Good morning! well I hope your as excited as I am!! I have to say I still think I'm dreaming about being a part of the MIC Facebook Team!! Anyway I'm here today with something even more exciting…. I know I thought things couldn't get more exciting…. SO

It’s time to get your baggy jeans on, grab your ghetto blaster and hang out with the gals from

You may have seen the Urban Elements from Make it Crafty previously but now it’s time to bring you
some super cool Graffiti to adorn those brick walls and some baggy jean characters to stand around
looking cool n stuff…

So let me start by sharing with you a couple of my creations :)

First up we have Urban Nico mixed up with some Urban Elements and some fantastic
graffiti from LMMS

I decided that I would use lots of layers on this card - I always struggle with male cards - never really know what to put on them!  I made him a 6x6 card, the arrows and 'Dude' were all cut on my cameo.

I just LOVE the graffiti from LMMS - never really thought about colouring it ever - but I have had so much fun!! all the highlights were added in using a white pen.

The image was coloured with copics

Wall and Brickwork;
E30, E31, E40, E42, E43

Bench and Window
T1, T2, T3, T4, T5

So I didn't stop at one creation for this release…..

When I first saw the Graffiti I worried about how I was going to colour it and so I printed it quite large to practice colouring, I was so impressed with how it turned out I had to use it for the release!!  So for this card I decided to die cut a hole in the front of the card blank and stick the graffiti on the inside

I have used the gorgeous Urban Courtney with some Urban Elements and some more gorgeous graffiti from LMMS.  Heres a close up - the image was hand cut and stuck on the front along with the brickwork

Cheeky Little Dracula ;)

Good Morning! ohhh what a week it has been, so strange finally having Miss N at nursery for 18 whole hours a week - yes I means I have had to do some of the dreaded H word!! Although Im not doing much of it at the moment as we are having the re-wire finished :)

Any way I'm here today with a post for the Make it Crafty Facebook Page - if your already a member you would have seen the $1 digi deal - yep thats right - the wonderful Zoe has one of the amazing digs for just $1 for the whole of September!! You need to be a member of the Make it Crafty Facebook page to get the code - so what are you waiting for - get over and join us!!!

So now I hear you asking what one could it be?!?.
Please allow me to introduce to you

Isn't he just the cutest…. just that little face I can see him laughing behind his cloak! I know he's not meant to be - to is he?!?

Now I have also (tried to) inspire you for the current Make it Colourful Challenge - the easy challenge is to use Orange and Black and the hard side is the sky - I think I will leave the sky to the professionals :)

 The papers I have used are from a pack of Stampin Up 12x12 that I have - it is a wonderful paper pack - everything (as normal with most paper pads) coordinates so well!  I used a new technique I learnt from a fellow crafter - the black splats are created using embossing powder - Rather than putting anything down (ink pad or otherwise) to hold it I sprinkled it on and heated it from the back - and BAM! Yep looks pretty cool - can't wait to use the technique more and more!

Cloak, Sky and  Ground
T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8, T9

I think I went a little OTT with the highlighting pen…. yes its becoming a new love of mine, its always on the desk next to me - all in all I think he is pretty cool!! I hope you like him too!

Now I really hope that I may have inspired you to join us over at the Make it Crafty Facebook page - I have said it before but its a fab bunch of people AND its the only way to grab the code to get this little guy for just $1!

If you have a moment I would love it if you would let me know what you think!
Thanks for stopping by and really hope to see you again soon :)

Friends Brighten Your Day

Evening! I know I'm really posting at strange times at the moment - its as and when I get time to sit down and post! Hope your all well!!

Im here tonight tonight with a very very exciting post… well it is for me - I'm about to share with you my very first official project as a member of the Make it Crafty Facebook Team -eeeeek! I know I'm rather excited! Im so honoured to be a part of this team - everyone is so amazing and I think I'm making some pretty good friends out of it all :)

So I'm here to share with you today my creation I have made for the sketch we have going on over on the Make it Crafty Facebook Page

Now sometimes I get along with sketches, sometimes I don't… well it turns out I think I smashed this one!  I know I will be using the layout again as I have a few ideas running through my head!!!

So over to my creation.  I have used the absolutely gorgeous Melody with Cushion (although I never added the cushion!) available here from the store.

The sentiment is from a Kraftin Kimmie stamp set I purchased from e-bay a while ago.  I just felt the words went well with the image - I stamped it onto my white card stock using Memento and then cut the words down - matted and layered onto the coloured card stock that I used on base of the card! The scalloped border is cut using my MS border punch.

It worked well with the bright colours as well - The backing looks more yellow but it does have an orange twinge in it!

the image itself was coloured with copics;

Skin
Y23, YR61, E11, E13

Hair
E31, E33, E35

Clothes and Boots
YR31, YR23, E33
BG72, BG78
E33, E35

I took most of this combo from a little challenge that was over on the MIC Facebook page a little while back - that was to use the MIC colours for a image (thanks to Janice for the Skin tone and Faye for the clothes combo) I think she turned out pretty cute!

Well I do hope you like her - I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Lacy Sunshine - Dies or Punches
Colour Me Creative - Retro Fun, Funkify it Up

Well I really hope that you will join us over at the Make it Crafty Facebook Page even if its just to say hello - its such a fab chatty bunch over there - I for one would LOVE to see you there - if you have a moment it would be lovely to hear what you think of my creation!
Hope to see you again soon

hugs

Adele

Evening all, I know some what of a late in the day post for me, BUT I have been thinking loads about this.... and I mean loads!

As some of you know a couple of weeks ago I had the oppertunity to join the MIC hop for the new release of the Alice in Wonderland images, it really made me realise how much I miss using my MIC images that I have - I think I got myslef to a point where I didnt think I was capable of them, and so I have been on a bit of a roll with them this week.

Then the wonderful Zoe announced that she was thinking about starting something new... she told us to keep our eyes peeled as something about to come up - so a number of us sat patiently waiting (well I tapped my fingers *Lots*), it was announced that there was a DT call
And so I looked at the details and I thought yes, no, yes, no, yes.... and so on.

And so while thinking the whole yes v's no - I coloured up the beautiful Adele and shared her on the MIC Facebook group - she has been an image that I fell in love with when I first saw her and i just had to buy her - but I have been somewhat afraid of colouring her since I got her.

The comments I had from so many people in there was amazing it really boosted my confidence and the way I see my own work! And so tonight I have sat here and made Adele into a finished card

Due to the size that I printed the image its a very odd sized card! Its a 7x7 - she was too big for a 6x6 and I didnt think I could handle and 8x8 and so I cut the card to size!
The image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53, E93
E31, E33, E35

The papers are from my all time favouriate Prima 'Fairy Belle'.  The edges have all been distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink Tea Dye, the rest of the embelishments are all from my stash - the rose originally had a loop on it to be hung but I have learnt that 99% of the time you can cut them off!

Well I do hope you like her - I would like to enter her into the DT call at Make It Crafty.
Thank you for stopping by and I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think!

Hugs

Alice in Pink

Good Morning - again! Yep I think I'm on a roll…. in every way - creativity has been 'flowing' rather well - although sleep hasn't been - not been getting to bed till 2am!  This is the only problem with creativity when it hits me - its at inhuman hours!

Anyway I'm here to share with you a creation that I have fallen head over heals for,  Some of you may have seen the MIC hop last week for the new release images, I was fortunate enough to be a part of it too!!  But life got in the way and I wasn't able to make the 2 projects I hoped for - and so I'm here to share with you the other image I was meant to work with!

Allow me to introduce to you

Isn't she just adorable!  Its the expression on her face that I fell in love with.  Now I didn't want to colour her in traditional alice colours and so I went with pinks!  The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02
E30, E31, E33
R20, R22
C0, C1, C2, C4

The papers are from The house of Zandra purchased from That Craft Place - I just love the papers they have a lovely feel to them and they look so pretty!! The flowers have been in my stash for ages, I can't even think where they are from! Now I have to show her to you a bit closer :)

I just LOVE her, she is so easy to colour!  Pop over and take a look at the other images from the release - you will not be disappointed :) I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Make It Crafty - Smooth Gradients
Card and Scrap - Anything Goes
Just for Fun - Anything Goes
The Crafters Cafe - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Hope to see you again soon :)

Make it Crafty Tea Party

Welcome to the very special Make it Crafty Tea Party!
Today, I'm joining the fun with a collection of Make it Crafty fans from around the world, serving you a delicious array of crafty delights to celebrate not only the magical release of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ but also Make it Crafty’s THIRD Birthday!!
What better way to celebrate than a tea party full of Make it Crafty fans?
As you chase the white rabbit down holes, through small doors, around corners and more… keep your eye out for hidden letters, collecting them along the way. Simply decipher the ‘question’ and then enter the answer at the end of the hop for a chance to win the grand prize!
It wouldn’t be a fun tea party without hidden prizes along the way, so make sure you comment as you chase the rabbit for a chance to win more prizes!
-----------------------------------------------------
Hopefully you’ve found your way through the door from Siina, but if you’ve just fallen down the hole then you might want to start back at Zoe.
------------------------------------------------------------------

The guests were given the option to play with 6 images from the new collection and I chose to get creative with Alice and White Rabbit, but it didn't stop there, I wanted to make something other than a card…. and so I tried my hand at the one and only 'mad hatters hat'.

Not to bad for a first attempt I don't think.  I coloured the image with copics

E000, E00, E02, R20
BG000, BG01, BG05
C1, C2, C3, C4
R39

I added loads of charms and embellishments, the pins were coloured using my copics and I added a mirror charm as I just felt it fitted!  On the bottom there is a lovely little fold crown that I stuck using silicone!!! You can also see how I have stuck the images!

The little toadstools were also coloured using my copics and a white gel pen - who would have though a gel pen would stick?!?!!!! The bottle was coloured using some e37 topic refill and the label written by hand :) I also added an old key from my stash :)

On the back I just couldn't resist a big bow and a watch charm dangling…. as well as a little tea pot of course :)  I then decided that I wasn't happy with the hat - so I made something else :)  Yes I went back to making an old faithful….

I just couldn't resist making a card with her!!! I used all the same colours as above, she is only 3 1/2 inches tall on both creations! Not the easiest to colour!!!

The image on both creations was cut on my cameo and the frame on my card was also cut using her too!!!

The fun doesn’t stop here and if you head through this door you’ll find your way to Tanja

Thank you so much for stopping by - and a BIG THANK YOU to Zoe for letting me be a part of this!!!!

I do hope you will stop by again soon!
Hugs

A dream is a Wish….

Good Morning! Happy Mothers Day to you all! Today will be spent mostly visiting people and then chill out tonight I think! So I have been a busy bee the past couple of weeks and so need to get into the craft room to tidy it up! I will try to get some photos of it posted on here for you really soon!!!

Anyway I'm here to share a card with you that I made a few weeks ago using the beautiful Zoe that came with the colouring long hair MIC colouring book - now if you haven't seen me rave about these before then you will now! All three books are fantastic and so very helpful - I would recommend to anyone!

The image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53
E00, E21, E11, R20, R21
(Will come back with the colours for the dress!)

All the papers are from my stash and the sentiment 'A dream is a wish your heart makes' is from a set of Tim Holtz stamps I have.  Well I hope you like her! I had lots of fun colouring her up and finishing this one off! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Colour me Creative - Anything Goes
Digi Haven - Green
Saturated Canary - Good V's Evil (She's good!)

The perfect Pair

Good Morning! How are you today? Well I have been running around all morning and have decided to take five minuets for me! If your here for the SBS Secret Release Hop please scroll down below this post!

Ok so I have been silently making Christmas cards - I think this year I think I will just be making cards for special people - I don't think time is too much on my side this year! So speaking of special people this card has been made for two very special people (I SO hope she doesn't see this!) My sister and her Fiancé - Theres under 18 moths now till they will be tying the knot!

So I would like to introduce to you
Nutcracker Christian and Sugar Plum Fairy Lola

I think they are so much like my sister and her Fiancé - Nutcracker Christian remeinde me of a drummer boy (thats what tom does - he teaches the drums) and my sister is a ballet teacher!

Now both of these were from a set of limited release digs from Simply B Stamps - They are no longer available but keep checking back - cause you never know!!

Now I coloured them up once as a couple and they looked good but they needed something more - trawling through my digs and I couldn't resist matching them up with a background form MIC!

The image was coloured with copics and the papers and embellishments were from my stash! It took me a lot longer to do that I really wanted it to - but I'm so please with the end result! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything Goes
Challenges for Everybody - Anything Goes
Ippity Challenge - Christmas

Thank you so much for stopping by - I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

The 'Amazing' Book!

Morning all - what another beautiful day it is here today - yesterday the weather got so hot I couldnt open my pens! Now thats bad!!! Well I have finally got around to looking at the other book from MIC and WOW oh WOW! What I have learnt!

OK but I have to start with a little news.. Zoe was offering the set of 6 new digis to three lucky winners if you shared what you learnt by using the book... and I was one that won!

I have them printed and cant wait to start but I will share this post first!!! ohh and I will share them - if you like them you should pop over to the MIC store and grab them!!!

OK so back to the 'book' I have never been brave enough to try using one colour and grey... I have heard about it but didn't know where to start.. but I tried and although I'm not over impressed with the results it is something I will try again because it is practice!  But this book has helped me so much with blending more than one colour, I was so impressed with the results and have been putting it into practice - and I cant wait to practice more!!!

Now I have put the two side by side - to the left is the blending more than one colour and the right is the once colour with greys .

 I know the photo is not the greatest as I have been colouring at night I appear to be taking my photos under the worse light ever!!!  and yes I said I needed lots more work with the one colour and greys.  But I thought i would and should share anyway!

Well I hope I may have inspired you to buy the Shading Book if you haven't already and remember you can buy both and get a discount!!!

Hope to see you soon

Something you may find interesting!

Morning all, well after a grey morning this afternoon is turning out rather beautiful, still got so much to do... we need to get hubby a suit for tomorrow and all sorts! But I have 'spent' my time somewhat wisely I think this morning.

After browsing facbook yesterday I came across an interesting picture from Make it Crafty.
So as you can guess I had to go and investigate as I would love to improve my technique(s)!

So after a few questions - and no using my common sense I came across the booklets over at the MIC store - I just had to have them! I printed the 'Colouring Techniques' off strait away and couldn't wait to get started.  I purposely printed the booklet off on 'normal paper' so I made myself read what was written first! and then went back and printed out the pages to colour on... this is what I created!

The photo was taken while it was very overcast this morning! But I have learnt so much - different ways of holding the pens, and I even went 'outside the box' on colours as - Well I wasn't scared! After I finished these I suddenly remembered there was another technique I wanted to try.  I have seen loads of people doing it and never had the 'oomph' to try as I never quite got where to start... but i'm so glad I tried!

OK so I haven't started on the 2nd booklet yet, I want to try a bit harder with the first before challenging myself to take too much into my lil brain at once!

Well I hope you will pop over to the MIC store and take a look at the books - they are AMAZING and well worth the money! I think anyone could learn a tip or two from it!

Hope to see you again soon!

Hugs

You Are A Star

Morning! well it appears so far to be a dry day, so much to do again today, can't believe the kids have been off school for half term, Amelia is in her last term of reception and Nancy starts pre-school on Tuesday - where has time gone? It only seems like yesterday I announced I was pregnant with Nancy let alone shipping her off!

Anyway after a busy day yesterday I finally sat down and chilled and coloured something other than an order - I have the local village fete next weekend and so needed a few to bulk the box up!

I would like to introduce you to Movie Gala Betty - she so belongs on the red carpet!

I was so excited the other week when Simply Betty Stamps and Make It Crafty joined up in their 'Guess the Movie' release! I just had to have them all! and so I did... I just then stumped myself on where to start..... It wasn't until I saw over on Simply Challenged Challenges Betty is looking for you to release your inter Betty.. I just had to join in!

She was coloured using Copics and my black Prisma pencil, Its need so long since I have used pencils and pens together! as all my bits are in the other room I will pop back later to add the details of the pens!

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20, R83
Hair - Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Carpet - R29 R37, R46

The ticket stamps are from Whimsy - I am so in love with their stamps at the moment, LOVE the tickets and circles so very much!

Surfs Up!

Afternoon! Ewww what another grey horrible wet day! I can't believe that every time the kids break up for holidays here is rains... Not much we can do with the weather though! Anyway I'm here to share another creation with you! I have been trying to make my cards a bit different and I cam across the lovely Life Guard Christian from Simply Betty Stamps - Now I wasn't sure what to do with him at first and so I decided to purchase the lovely Beach digi from Make It Crafty.  Now I have never tried colouring a whole scene before and so I was very surprised with myself when it turned out like this....

Ok so I could do with wokring on the sky and sea a bit, but not bad for a first attempt if I do say so myself! I used so many different colours I can't remember what ones though!

I love the colours that I used for his top and shorts, i think they may have been BG15, BG13, BG10 - I will double check that one a bit later!

I used papers form my stash, mail just 12x12's and Kraft.  The ticket stamps are from Whimsy stamps and the charms are just from my stash! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Sundays With Chrissy - Tags and Tickets
Cute Card thursday - Water Water Everywhere
Delightful Challenges - Fun in the Sun

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

I must apologise for the next photo! I have taken it five times and I can't seem to get it any better! I need to find hubbies camera and charge it up!! I used so much stuff that I had forgotten about, the fab backing paper is from SU, the flowers were buried in a draw that had loads of paper in it! I also used the TH clock die, TH Adage Tickets that were distressed using TH vintage Photo and my copics and prismas to colour her!

You can see here why I was so chuffed with myself when I finished her, this photo was taken before I distressed the background but it looks even better now!

C0 - Gloves and Stockings

Black prisma to add detail to the skirt brushed over with Zest Oil.
