Sparkler Ellie

Morning all - busy busy times at the moment, all is happening so fast!

Anyway hope your all well! Im so excited to be here today to be sharing this project with you - its something a bit different for me.  I just fell head over heals for Sparkler Ellie when I saw her on the new release at The Paper Nest Dolls - you can purchase her here in the shop - You will see why I love her - her face is just SOOOO cute!!

Then I had this idea of making something special for my certain little lady who will turn 6 in just a few days time - she loves to sit and draw - you should see some of the notes we get at the moment!!! So what would be better than her own personalised notebook!

I just LOVE how she has turned out - Im so in love with her hair! The image was coloured with copics

I also used some of the beautiful MME Collections 'Memories' 6x6 paper stack, Im so head over heals for this set - once I had cut it to size I distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink pad - I seem to be using that lots at the moment!  The ruffled ribbon is from my stash - I seem to have a stack of it at the moment!  I also had to use some of the lovely Swirly Pearls from Prima, They are just so gorgous, just wish I could locate them in the UK!  You may have also noticed the additional A - yep cut using the cameo - just felt it made it more personal for Miss A!

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

Anyway I'm here to share with you today a card I made for Amelia's friend for her birthday, as I have said before I'm not one for the pre-coloured toppers but I always have something in ready for when I forget that I am supposed to have created something for me or mine! And so here we have a lovely pre-coloured topper from Lili of the Valley.

She just came together so quickly with the papers - and I have to say it was a nice and easy card to make, so I think I will make some more like this when life calms down a bit :)

I had this idea of what I wanted to do and it all came together so nicely! The castle cut first time to the perfect size and it all came together!  I did have to add the initials A.J.B to the flags as this is the card I have made for Nancy to give to Amelia for her birthday next weekend!

Her is the beautiful Princess Ellie - she is so easy to colour and perfect for anyone you think is a princess!

I coloured the image with copics

So I'm here to share with you a card I have made using one of the newly released images from The Paper Nest Dolls called Girl Talk - she is available here!

I just love everything about her - she reminds me of when I was younger and I had to pull the cord on the phone to sit down and chat to someone - oh how phone conversations used to be shorter in those days when people wanted to get past ect - Oh how times have changed!

The image was coloured with Copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E31, E33, E35, E37

Bubble Bath Ellie

Morning all, well things are starting to go quieter - but not much still got so much to do and not much time - but finally found a bit of time for sitting down and crafting :)   So with having some time I have been playing with my Dolls - NO not like Barbie - the gorgeous ones from The Paper Nest Dolls

Now I just fell in LOVE with Bubble Bath Ellie when I first saw her she is available from The Paper Nest in Rubber and Digi - she has been sat in the pile of 'to colour' for far far too long and her time finally came around!

Once she was coloured though I did become a bit stumped on what to do next!  So after searching the internet for a while I came across this fantastic sketch from Dutch Magnolia Lovers - I just had to give it a go although I don't use Magnolias!

It all just fell together from there, I used my lovely cameo to do most of the cutting - I did take me a while to think of the sizing but it all just came together! Here she is a bit closer!

She was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E30, E31, E33, E35
Y15, Y17
B93, B95, B60
V000, V01
W0, W1, W2

I added some diamond glaze over the top of the bubbles to give them more of a realistic look, once she was dried I stuck her to the circle and cut the excess of the image away, The edges of all the papers were distrusted using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Old Paper, I didn't want anything that was too heavy on the colour.  The papers are all from Dovecraft Back to Basics III - its a beautiful paper pack with all the pinks and purples in! I then couldn't resist with adding some of my flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts on there too!

 I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Art With no boundaries - Anything Goes
Created with love - Your favourite Things (My Pens :) )
Digi Make Over Challenge - Punches/Dies (Used my Nesties)
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Well I hope you like her as much as I do - Remember there is the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge blog that have a fantastic theme of 'Summer lovin' running and only a little more time to enter - why not pop over and take a look and maybe join in :)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to read what you think!
See you again soon

8 Today!

Hello again! all this catching up feels so good….. plus I'm so close to 500 posts as well now its all rather exciting, but the big one will be if I realise that post 500 is about to go live or not!

Anyway I'm here once again to share a card made a while back, now I'm not a bit one for colouring animals, especially not big ones but this one didn't come up too bad!  When I was asked to do a card with a horse I froze, but then I came across this beautiful stamp from Whimsy stamps and just had to give it a go!

This was made as a commission for a little girl who loves horses, I was asked to make the little girl look like the recipient and by what I was told I don't think I did a too bad job! The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, E50, E51, E53, R20,
E31, E33, R35, E37

The papers were all scraps from the box, the letters were cut using my quickutz - I do love that tool! I have to say O was pretty impressed with the finish on this card! I hope you like it too - I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Artistic Impressions - Ribbon or Twine

Special friend

Good Morning! I'm getting a little bit good at this! Well the weather here is going down hill fast, I can remember the days of long hot summers, were lucky if we see the sun for more than 5 days at the moment :( Anyway this next week i think there will be quite a few posts from me, I have found loads that I thought I had shared with you - and I clearly haven't!

Im here to share one that I made a while back using a LOTV pre coloured topper, now I'm not normally one for all the pre coloured things but I have to say they do make life easy sometimes! This is a stamp that I have been searching for for ages, never come across it yet - but you never know.  So glad I got my hands on the pre coloured topper :)

I used loads from my stash including some pins that haven't seen the light of day in ages! The papers were all loose in in my box of scraps.  I Love the way this card has turned out! The colours here don't seem to have done it much justice but in real life its so pretty!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Challenges 4 everybody - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think!

Special day

Good Morning! I can't believe how terribly quiet my blog has been from me this year - I think its somewhat embarrassing!!! BUT I have so much to do in a very short space of time and all I want to do is all I shouldn't be doing - thats about typical!!!

So Im here today to share with you a card I made for a commission a while back - I just LOVE this image from Lala Land - she is so adorable and she was lovely to colour!

Once again this is another that I thought I had shared but I didn't and so here she is now - The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E)2, R20
B95, B95
R25
E31, E33
T3, T5
E33, E35, E37

The papers were all from my stash - and the bow was cut using a dynamics die I have stashed away! I used my quickutz alphabet to cut the name in Silver miri card!

Well I hope you like her! I think she came out pretty cute, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Send a Smile 4 Kids - For the Girls

Thanks for stopping by, I would love to know what you think, hope to see you again soon

Have a 'Grave' Fathers Day

Afternoon all - what a day it has been, my little Amelia (well she's not so little any more) took her pre primary ballet exam today :)  So proud of her - I can't believe she has been dancing for three years nearly! So yes today I'm on a complete high!

Im here to share with you a Fathers Day card with a difference - I was asked to make a 'zombie' themed   Fathers Day card - mmmmm yes the brain started ticking….. after a little bit of discussion I finally came up with the perfect image!

This is the rather creepy Zombie Painter 3 from Rick St Dennis - I will be honest and say I never thought of using a zombie on Fathers Day but he is pretty cool - after choosing the image and colouring him up with copics the sentiment and papers all fell into place

Copics

E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
YG03, YG09, YG17, YG63, YG67
B32, B34, R35, R37
T3, T5, T7

The papers are from my stash, I know they are from one of the halloween pads I had but I can't remember what set! The die cut is from memory box called 'Graveyard landscape', the words were cut from my cameo :) - I also distressed the edges of the paper using Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink pad.

Well I hope you like him, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Alphabet Challenge - i is for image
Digi Haven - Anything goes
Digi Galore - Male/Fathers Day

Creative Creations Challenges - For you Dad

Morning! Wow this is a miracle for me - two posts within a couple of days! I have been so busy with stuff its crazy! I would love to tell you that things will calm down in a few weeks - but no sooner will all the stress be over it will them be summer holidays!

Anyway I'm here today with the latest challenge at Creative Creations Challenges - we had a great turn out last week well done to everyone that joined in, remember to pop to the blog to see if you were our lucky winner!

So onto this weeks challenge - we have a fantastic and very appropriate challenge for you this week -

For you Dad

Yep were looking for your Fathers Day Creations. We have a wonderful sponsor this week

The team were lucky enough to have some steps from Indigo Blu to work with - I know the team had so much fun with them :)

I got to work with xxxx as my set - I have to say at first I was somewhat stumped - its been a while since I had the stamps and inks out - but my word did I enjoy getting messy! I even managed to make two cards this week!

First up I kept it simple, I used the cogs stamps with my TH Walnut Stain ink to stamp the background, using my brush I then distressed the background using Tea Dye.  I stamped the layered pieces in black Memento and distressed them with the tea dye, I layered them onto Kraft and stuck them with silicone.

The twine is from my stash I also ran that through the Tea Dye to make it blend more, the farm was added using twine to secure it.

I have to say I LOVE how this card has turned out! I would like to enter the card above into the following challenges;

Craft Lovin Challenges - Fathers Day
Crazy 4 Challenges - Fathers Day
Sugar Creek Hollow - Fathers Day

I was somewhat messy after finishing it and so I decided that I was going to get more messy…….
For this one I stamped the background up and then scrunched it, once again distressed it using my brush and TH Tea Dye, I did add a few stipples of Walnut Stain in to.  I did the same with the cogs.

I then stamped the image again but this time only very lightly distressed it.

Well I hope you like my creations, I had so much fin making them! I would like to enter the second card into the following challenges;

Bloggers - Masculine
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Simply Create too - Fathers Day/Masculine

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! I do hope you will pop to the blog and see what the rest of the team have made :) See you again soon

I finally used Video Boy from Mo's Digital Pencil - He has been sat in the pile to be coloured for far far too long (about a year too long!).

I have to say male cards are not my strong point but I loved colouring him up!
