Game Boy turns 18

Afternoon folks - well how cold and wet is it where you are - I can't believe how changeable this weather is at the moment - bright sunshine one moment and overcast raining cats and dogs the next….  Plus with the clocks changing Miss A and Miss N are being horrors and getting up at sill o'clock!!!

Anyway I'm here with a quick post today - I was asked by a good friend to do an 18th Birthday card for her boyfriend - she came and chose the image she wanted and left me to the rest :)

I used the fantastic Video Boy image from Mo's Digital Pencil - she said it looked so much like him!  The image was coloured with copics - as I did it in such a rush I completely forgot to note what colours I used!! The papers were all from my stash - if I remember rightly its a Teresa Collins one - but I have no idea what the name of it is!  The little flags, letters and the 18 were cut on my cameo and mounted on some shaker tape to add some diminution to the finished creation.

Well I do hope you like my creation - he was fun to colour :)
If you have a moment I would love to know what you think!

Hope to see you again soon

Ohhh when will summer come and stay?  Anyway been keeping myself pretty busy with creating and cleaning the little room up and making mess and stressing that there is mess…… anyway Im here to share with you today a commission I made and all in all I was pretty impressed with it!

I finally used Video Boy from Mo's Digital Pencil - He has been sat in the pile to be coloured for far far too long (about a year too long!).

I have to say male cards are not my strong point but I loved colouring him up!

Surfs Up!

Afternoon! Ewww what another grey horrible wet day! I can't believe that every time the kids break up for holidays here is rains... Not much we can do with the weather though! Anyway I'm here to share another creation with you! I have been trying to make my cards a bit different and I cam across the lovely Life Guard Christian from Simply Betty Stamps - Now I wasn't sure what to do with him at first and so I decided to purchase the lovely Beach digi from Make It Crafty.  Now I have never tried colouring a whole scene before and so I was very surprised with myself when it turned out like this....

Ok so I could do with wokring on the sky and sea a bit, but not bad for a first attempt if I do say so myself! I used so many different colours I can't remember what ones though!

I love the colours that I used for his top and shorts, i think they may have been BG15, BG13, BG10 - I will double check that one a bit later!

I used papers form my stash, mail just 12x12's and Kraft.  The ticket stamps are from Whimsy stamps and the charms are just from my stash! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Sundays With Chrissy - Tags and Tickets
Cute Card thursday - Water Water Everywhere

Fathers Day - Teddy Golf

Afternoon! Well that was a long weekend, with typical british weather... Rain.  Our party was cancelled yesterday due to the weather and I had spent my afternoon cooking and decorating cupcakes!! Not a happy bunny! Oh well can't change it! Well lots of changes happened yesterday, my little Nancy decided that she no longer wanted to be in baby jail at night, so we have taken the side of her cot off.. it was a nightmare getting her into bed last night , followed by a 6am wake up with a smack on the face and mumbled through her dummy 'wakey up time now mummy daddy!' Oh well - maybe she will sleep better tonight!

Anyway I have been crafty and quite impressed with myself for this one, A friend asked me to make a Fathers Day card for her kids - she left it pretty open to anything but she did tell me that he like golf at the moment - so what better image that 'Seven... I mean FOUR' from Teddy Bo.

This was my first ever attempt at colouring a Teddy Bo image, I ave often seen them about and looked the other way as I don't feel I colour fur very well, but on this occasion I was quite impressed with myself!

the image was coloured using copics, I haven't got what colours I used, it has taken me a few days to colour and so I have had to be clueing up in-between it all. The papers were all from my stash and I mounted it on Kraft too, just to fill in on the layers!

I used a new die I have, purchased it from a friend on Facebook, It worked really well on the 8x8 card blank.  The letters were from my Quickutz alphabet, again not quiet sure what one - I forgot I had that till the other day when I tripped over it, Im not quite sure how it made itself to the middle of the room - it was like it was asking to be used!

From a small piece of paper I die up the smallest circle from my spellbinders and embossed it using a cuttlebug embossing folder, just so it looked like a golf ball! Well I hope you like my card - all in all I'm quite impressed! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Digital Tuesday - Anything Goes
Oldie But Goodie Challenge - Anything Goes (My old stash is my Quickutz - forgot I had it!)

My Grafico Fathers Day Challenge

Good morning, how are we all? What fab weather we are having at the moment, I have had a lovely weekend doing bits in the garden and playing with the kids.  Big news this morning from me, well lots of it actually.  We are finally getting the plasterer in today to plaster the girls room and put the stud wall in and hopefully turn the door in the next two days,  Nancy starts Pre-school after half term - she needs it now!

And the final bit...

It all came about a bit strangely... I noticed that a blogging friend of mine had not blogged for a while and I contacted Tammy at My Grafico, she hadn't heard anything either and so we started to try and 'hunt her down' as such.  It turned out she had been rather poorly and in hospital, I offered to 'stand in her shoes' for a few weeks and Tammy asked me if I could be a permanent DT member, and I accepted!

So onto the challenge this week!

Fathers Day!

All the DT have used the fab kit' Tool Time' available over at the store here.  I have to say at first I drew a blank but then it all fell into place.

This kit is grate for male cards, I can't wait to use it a bit more, I have a few other ideas with it! The wording was added to the blank to do list using my word program, the tools were all cut by hand and stuck on with foam pads.

I added a tool box on the inside of the card to continue the theme through. Ok so this card was done in a rush, but I have so much inshore for the next challenge! I hope you will join us over at My Grafico for the Fathers Day challenge, Hope to see you soon!

sweet 16....

Well you can't put that on a male card... so we just went with 16th! The kids are still rather un-well Amelia has been off school again today and little Nancy is really groggy so have had to chill out with them all day.  Im not feeling 100%, just very tired hope I don't come down with what they have!

As you can see I have found the camera and charger and I am using it again... but its finding somewhere that I can take photos now.  This has been taken balanced onto of one of the new radiators! Its not plumbed in yet, but hopefully will be soon!

I have used the lovely Suave Kody from Some Odd Girl, I have to say I'm loving these stamps at the moment! So much fun to colour! I have had him sat in the digi file a while and suddenly managed to colour him for the 1st time over the weekend!  I even tried the 'clouds' again, wasn't so easy this time as i didn't have a mask for him, but don't think it came out too bad! I can't tell you what colours as I coloured this when the kids were colouring and kept my pens back in their places!

I even managed to decorate the inside of this card, the red bazzill is from my scraps and the ribbon from my stash! The happy birthday inside is a LOTV stamp.

Well I hope you like him! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Cards for Men - Seeing Reds
Craft your Passion - Anything Goes with no Patterned Paper

Getting Down and Dirty with Keith, Tim and...

A Steampunk.... yes that is what I have just told my husband, she shock in his voice was so funny!  He has taken youngest to snakes and ladders, its an indoor soft play area and he left me here with nothing to do! and just to clarify, were taking Keith Urban, Tim Holtz and a Digi Stamp!

Anyway firstly I want to share a picture of the bedroom that was plastered yesterday! looking good... I can't wait for it to dry!!! Getting excited about painting it! Thinking colour schemes and carpets now!

Now for a dirty photo! This was after washing my hands with lynx shower gel! I just couldn't resist this shop, enjoying taking photos at the moment, using an app on my phone instagram, LOVE it! you can do all sorts with it! and share them and follow others, if you have an iPhone I would recommend getting it for just playing around with!

I have used the gorgeous LIL Victorian Luca! He has been in a file on the computer that I forgot about, I have had him for ages I also think that I have never had the courage to colour him! You may have noticed my going throughout a 'brown' phase! Im not sure whats come over me, but Im loving colouring in brown and distressing and ahh its bliss! and I love being messy too!

I pulled out my TH dies, as well as the adage tickets and a charm from my stash and the ink was TH Vintage Photo.  The card base was made from a piece of 12x12 kraft card I had in my stash and the die cuts were cut from the paper too, then distressed them with the TH ink!

He was coloured with pencils all except the skin, usual suspects here.... E02, E00, E000 and R20 for his cheek! The pencils I'm using are Prismacolours, I got them from e-bay a week or so ago and I LOVE using them - Want to get some more!

I also used some orange in this one to make him stand out a bit more! I have to say I don't know what I was scared of, he was lovely to colour!!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

CropStop -Time (The TH Clock Die)
 Simon Says Stamp- Anything Goes
Truly Scrumptious - Something forgotten (Digi Stamp)

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

Life is beautiful, magnificent thing, even to a jellyfish...

As said by Charlie Chaplin, I had heard loads about him, but never really known much, if that makes any sense?!

Well he was my inspiration tonight, I need to make a male card for my cousin, and as you all know I dislike making male cards, men, man, what ever you want to call call them, I personally have a disliking to making them cards, little boys are so easy to create for!

On the subject of boys... Mark (hubby) has a friend over and as he is helping take more paper off the walls tomorrow so he is staying the night.  Now 3 years ago we went to Canada and Richard got the name 'Scary Hairy Man', I will never know why we called him that!  My little Amelia (at just over 4 1/2) was over the moon that Richard was coming over, when he came in that house my little Amelia started blushing! It was so adorable!!

Anyway onto what I'm here for!

This is the beautiful 'The Tramp' from Mo Manning.  I have had him sat on the computer for ages and never used him, never had the 'get up and go' to colour him.  Tonight I have out done my self and Im very proud!

He was coloured with pencils all bar the skin, again the wonderful copics came out, just the normal ones, E02, E00, E000 and R20 for his cheek!  The background was distressed with Tim Holtz brushed corduroy and my wonderful lil sponge thing I have to help me along the way!

I printed everything from my computer, the sentiments were all printed from just using the word document.  I have started to make the first letters on words larger than the rest as I feel it stands more! I believe the font is apple chancery, I love this font and seem to use it a lot at the moment!

While making this card I needed to research a bit about Charlie Chaplin, I love using quotes  from the real person and this one just stood out to me, I would have used so many different ones but this one just felt right!

Now this little tool is one that hasn't seen the light of day for a long time! My quickutz, the card looked blank and as Chaplin was a composer as well as a director, actor ect I felt musical notes would finish the card nicely! I just cut then from kraft card stock.

Yes I even got the guts to decorate the inside of the card, not something that I often do! So all in all it was a pretty good night! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Daisy Doodles - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for stopping by and hope you will come back soon!

Top Tip Tuesday #48 Masculine Creations

Morning all, well another week has flown by, the kids will be back at school before we know it! I know I was saying a couple of weeks back roll on back to school, but i'm kinda sad now that its so close! Went out last week and brought Amelias 1st pair of school shoes, cant believe it has come round so fast!

Yesterday was my 25th birthday! had a rather quiet day, but enjoyed it, had to pack and make sure all the housework was up to date as we are going on holiday - only to the south coast for a few days but man am i looking forward to it!

Well i'm here to share with you the challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday this week, we are looking for

Masculine Creations

Well I know how I struggle with creations for my husband, dad, father-in-law ect. so this week challenged me a bit more!  there is only so much decoupage I can bare to look at and do, let alone keep sending it to people year after year!

So I decided to purchase a few 'male' digis and see how I got on.

Well I was very impressed with ones self when I looked at it all together.... The digi is from Tickled Pink Stamps, I have quite a few of them now and have never really coloured many up till now... Been on a mission of colouring, now one must create ore and more!

This is Luca, he can be found on the Tickled Pink Shop Here.  I was so worried about colouring him, but he was easier than I thought... OK so I was relying on the fab new fine tips for my pro-markers to help me out, but they did the job!  I coloured him using Warm Grey 4 and 5, Blush, Ice Grey 1 and Poppy to colour him in.  I cut him out and mounted him onto some red bazzil from my stash.

The backing paper is one that I found on the internet, I just did a google search for free playing card DP and saw this one, I printed it onto a4 paper and the mounted it onto white card.  The sentiment i just typed on my computer, played with the font printed and cut it, then mounted it onto red bazzill again!

The small playing cards in the top right corner are from Printable Heaven, they have some fab papers over there and they are not too expensive either!

Well I hope you like what I have created and that you will join in with us this week at Top Tip Tuesday! Please hop over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT have created and if you have time please show them a bit of love and leave a comment, we all love to read what you think!

They are brilliant for all your crafty supplies! Please if you have time pop over and take a look!

Now onto my creation for this week!

My stamps nearly had an ink attack... they didn't know what to think! After lots of time getting very very messy, playing around with a few things I decided to use (one of) my lovely new stamp from Stampin' Up!

The paper is made using a clip art from the internet, I printed a page where I had randomly put the 'splats' at different angels ect.  I mounted this onto a red card base.

I cut my paper to the size I wanted it before I stamped and then inked up my stamp and gradually moved it down the page!  This is an effect I have never tried before!  I mounted it onto black card and then onto a bit of red and the attached it to the backing paper!

 I used a small remainder of the red card and used my Quickutz dies to cut out the word husband in black!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges this week.

Catered Crop - Recipe (Red, Stamp Ink and scene)
Pile it on - Boys and Girls come out to play!
