As Amelia Earheart would have said! I love adventures and this card sure has been one!
I purchased this stamp ages ago from Funky Kits, I know another Sugar Nellie, but I LOVE THEM! This is Amelia and If I'm honest I didn't buy her because I liked her.... I brought her because of her name! Anything that has the girls names on I have to have! Its not so easy with nancy as theres not much with her name... other than the Adorables dig again Sugar Nellie!
Yesterday she 'fell' out of the cupboard and I thought it was a sign and so I gave it a go! She was coloured using polychromes except for her skin, that was done with copics E02, E00, E000 and R20 for her cheeks. The clock die is the Tim Holtz one, its had a bit of use the last few days, it will need to go back into hiding at this rate!
Above you can see her a bit closer, I was rather impressed at how she tuned out, I don't normally like colouring in browns but on this occasion... I rather enjoyed it! You can't see it too well but the papers at the back of the image were printed from the computer! They were both steampunk design papers from a website that I found!
Im also trying something new with my photos. SOmetimes there are just too many photos and so I have a new app on my phone that lets you create these little collages, quite like them so i think you will be seeing more like this!
The ticket is from the Tim Holtz adage ticket book I have, I roughed the edges and used brushed corduroy to distress it a bit more, The charm is just from my stash, I LOVE them, have a few more but don't want to use them all! The sentiment was just printed off the computer, I do wish I had done it slightly larger - but its all a learning curve! The flowers were just from my stash!
I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;
Catered Crop - Use Newsprint or Printed paper (closer image added above)
PanPastel UK - Use Two of Something (two roses)
Sir Stamp A lot - Monochrome
Craft your Days Away - Distressing
I love reading what you think, so if you have time please leave a comment!
Hope you like her! See you all soon!
