Crafty Sentiments Design - Christmas in July - Day 1

Morning all - OK so this is my 2nd post for today - if you haven't seen my 1st its nothing too important - but 5 years ago today my big girl arrived! How time has flown! Were having a busy day with ballet, parties and family dinners so I don't think I will be about much till late!

Anyway back to my reason for being here now!

Yep today Christmas is coming round far too fast - I have now made 2 Christmas cards - I should really start getting more on the ball! Over at Crafty Sentiments Designs this week we have so much inspiration and you will be able to get all the stamps on the 11th July from here!

I would like to introduce you to Jasmine - winter skates! She is just so adorable!

Now I will confess that this was a last minuet put it together for me - I have been on another planet - the days are just flying by! Anyway I used a 5x5 kraft card blank, the image was coloured with copics, the papers and charm are from my stash and the sentiment is from LOTV.

She was so lovely to colour and I think she will be getting quite a bit of use over Christmas! I hope you will pop over to the Crafty Sentiments Design blog and take a look at the AMAZING creations from the DT and the GDT - I will be back later in the week with some more previews! Hope to see you then!

Morning - I can't believe how behind I am with everything! I have so much to try and catch up on and I don't know where to start - Im hopeful that today I will get the time to catch up with myself! I think I will have to write a schedule to get through all of this - so much to try and get ahead of before our holiday! less than a month till we go now!

Anyway last week I didn't get to do much due to 'the tooth' but I also went through a bit of a simple card making moment - I like to have some very plain and simple cards here as I like to pop a note in the post to a few friends of mine! and I never know when I'm going to have forgotten a birthday or something so its always handy!

This is the gorgous Heart Fairy Framed from Dilly Beans Stamps - I just fell in love with her when I saw her! and then she somehow made me release my 'pink' side! I can see her in so many different colours - there is endless possibilities with her and I can't wait to try all my ideas - but I think that will be a while yet! The image was coloured with copics;

Butterflies

Afternoon - what a strange kinda day! The weather has been beautiful one min and then showers the next, just wish it would make up its mind - I have given up with trying to pull the kids in from outside as it starts to rain as by the time they are in it has stopped again!

Anyway as you know I have been back on a bit of a roll - even though my teeth are pretty sensitive so back on the pain relief again! But I have been getting my crafty on!  This is another beautiful digi from Dilly Beans Stamps

I kept it pretty plain and simple as I thought it would make a nice note card.  The image was coloured with copics and the paper is from my stash.  I can't tell you too much more.  I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

You hold the Key to my Heart

Morning! Hope are we today? I can't believe I have hit 200 followers - so firstly I would like to thank you all!
If you haven't seen yet I am running a little candy here, I am waiting on a few bits to arrive to add and if I get to 250 followers while it runs I will add more!

Well due to the 'evil tooth' I haven't been crafting much, I haven't been able to put my head down to colour or type very much - I am only having to take pain relief  first thing in the morning and just before bed at night now - so we are on the up.  Ok I'm going to stop nattering now and get on with why I'm here!

Last week I was introduced to Dilly Beans Stamps - I had never heard of them before - but oh boy am I glad I have come across them.  So nice and completely different to what I would normally go for! Meet the beautiful Girl and Butterfly  - you know why I couldn't resist!

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18

The paper was a scrap from my stash and the sentiment is a new stamp I purchased from a friend on Facbook group.  The charm and corners were from my stash.  All in all for a quick and simple card I am quite impressed! I can't wait to colour this one up again - thinking a bit more on my wild side for next time though!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

2 sisters challenge - Anything Goes
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, remember my candy is open to anyone in the world - so why not take a look? If you have a moment I would love to hear what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

** I apologise - I forgot to schedule this!**

Morning! How are we all, well my trip to the dentist ended with antibiotics, they are starting to work but still in lots of pain, keeping on with the painkillers and hopeful that only another 24 hours or so till I no longer have to take them!

Well its been a busy week and I confess that I have got myself behind with all my DT work due to my teeth!  But I do have some more big news to share with you.  While being a vegetable I had a message from the Lovely Carlyann from Sweet and Crafty asking me if I would like to join the DT over at My Mums Craft Shop Challenges - I applied a couple of weeks ago and completely forgot that I had! and so what more could I say - Have you seen the talent over there? I just had to say yes!

DT Badge

I didn't think that I was going to be able to share the news this week due to my tooth but I managed to put something together to share with you today! Before I share my creation with you let me tell you about this weeks challenge.

Well I suppose I best share my creation.  On the 28th June my amazing husband and I will have been together 8 years! (I'm sure I would get less for murder - only kidding!) I can't believe that 8 years ago we didn't really know each other and here we are married with two amazing little girls (well sometimes!) So I have made him a card - just to jog his memory!

I have used the beautiful 'A Little bit of Country' from Sarah Kay, the image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53, E55 E57, and a splash of R20

The Image was cut out using Spellbinders scalloped ovals, they have been sat in my stash for quite a while and never really been used!

I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye to distress the paper the image is stamped on,  the papers are Prima Sun Kiss 6x6 stack and the mini flourish in the corner is cut using Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork all these are available from My Mums Craft Shop. The flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and some I purchased from e-bay a long time ago!

I just had to sneak a close up of this in - at first it was meant to be a 'trial' to see if I could colour in sepia effect - I was so impressed when it turned out the way it did! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Big News

Afternoon, How are we toady? Well I have been suffering with stooped toothache since Friday evening, I am now taking paracetamol and Ibuprofen every few hours and I look like a hamster... oh if only I had a food store, I'm so hungry right now, but can't eat :(

Never mind onto my BIG news... well sat at my computer the other day and the lovely Joanne from Crafty Sentiment Designs sends me a message on Facebook, I had to read it twice before it sunk in, she was asking me to be on her DT! I couldn't believe it! I was chuffed to bits of course you know what I said.... YES! - now we had a new release on Friday and I did everything I could to make a card for it, but the evening went crazy, and then with the toothache arriving I haven't been up to much!

Meet Kaye - Thinking Of You, she is available over at the Crafty Sentiments Design Shop

I think she is so adorable and I can think of so many things I want to do with her.  She was coloured using copics and the papers are all from Prima Sun Kiss Stack.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamps and the flower is made form some Prima petals I had in my jar.

Well I hope you like her! I can't wait to do more creating for Crafty Sentiment Designs! I will be back really soon!

Love

Morning! what a shocking morning, after being in winter socks yesterday I am shocked to say that today I am wearing a summer dress... yes the sun has come out! I can't quite believe it myself! I thought I had been abducted this morning when I got up!

Anyway I have been on a bit of a roll recently! Quite enjoying trying new things when colouring and colouring images that I never thought I could or would - and I have actually used a rubber stamp! Yes, another shock! I was quite scared as its been so long since I have used a clear stamp and well... it turned out kinda well!

This is a beautiful new stamp from Sarah Kay, I have always loved her images but never been confident enough to colour them... in the past i have had her stamps and sold them on without even using them... but this one is different...

They are just the cutest couple ever! I struggled to find a nestie to fit them, I seem to have more square than round, must change that! The image was coloured using copics and the papers are from Prima Sun Kissed 6x6 stack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts - (I'm slightly obsessed at the moment) the butterflies are cut using Die-namics Butterflies die.  The lace and rhinestones are just from my stash, the edges of the image were bruised with Tim Holtz Old Paper DI.

Just had to share a close up of the image, so happy with her dress and his trousers, I can't wait to colour this image again! I hope you like it as much as I do, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Wild Orchid Challenge - Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps - One or more Pins

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon

Nancy loved her 1st day at nursery, I'm dreading Thursday though... think she cottoned on that I snuck off, we will have to wait and see how it all goes! Anyway tonight I have been a busy bee.... I decided that i was going to try and colour in sepia...

And I think I'm part way there - OK so this was the second attempt, my first attempt hasn't been mounted yet, may try to do that later tonight!!  But I'm so impressed with how she turned out.  SHe was coloured using Copics

E50, E51, E53, E55

The papers are from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Gabrielle Collection, I distressed the edges using my SU distressing tool and then used Tim Holtz Tea Dye around the edges. The flowers were all from my stash and so were the pins.

Mr and Mrs

Quack Quack, yes I'm learning duck as I feel its only appropriate for this weather, at least if I were a duck I would enjoy this dam rain! I was hoping to take Nancy out today to celebrate the last day before she starts nursery tomorrow but I'm going nowhere in this weather! so I think I will have to try and get crafty and get her involved today!

Anyway I'm here with a commission on a wedding card, I couldn't believe it when my friend asked me to make another Cadburys purple wedding card just like the one I did a few weeks ago.  I said I would make it but it would be different to her one.  Then I stumped my-self, how was I going to do this on? I had to spend some time searching the internet for sketch ideas as I wanted this to be different... and then I cam across this sketch at Mojo Monday

It took me a while to think about it as the design looks more 6x4 or 5x7 and I was working on an 8x8... but I did it!

Yes I think I managed to do it - It took me a few hours of moving stuff and thinking but I did It! (Slightly annoyed that i have missed linking this up :( Oh well!) The image is from Mo Manning - I love this one for weddings - so elegant!  The image was coloured using copics, the flourish is from the hobby house and the circular sentiment is from Lili of The Valley.

Well I hope you like my creation, I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

The Ribbon Girl - Use Ribbon or Lace
Craft Punked - Celebrations
Fussy and Fancy - Flourishes
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes

Morning! well it appears so far to be a dry day, so much to do again today, can't believe the kids have been off school for half term, Amelia is in her last term of reception and Nancy starts pre-school on Tuesday - where has time gone? It only seems like yesterday I announced I was pregnant with Nancy let alone shipping her off!

I just then stumped myself on where to start..... It wasn't until I saw over on Simply Challenged Challenges Betty is looking for you to release your inter Betty.. I just had to join in!

She was coloured using Copics and my black Prisma pencil, Its need so long since I have used pencils and pens together! as all my bits are in the other room I will pop back later to add the details of the pens!

Cameoflage JoJo

Morning, oh what a week, the weather has been awful - hence why not much computer or crafting time! then I thought I had a chilled morning only to find that Amelia had ballet... oh well.  Now this is going to be a quick post as we have 101 things to do today and there is not enough hours to get it done - two orders to finish as well as get the stock together for next weekend!

Last week Amelia and Nancy had a birthday party to go to, I had to make the card pretty quick, all I could think of was camouflage.... And so (I apologise for the photos - they do not show it very well at all!) this came together...

Yes it was all a bit rushed and as I say the photos make it look rubbish! But i wanted to share him anyway!
He was coloured with copics and the paper was from online somewhere!

I think the best bit was the cheesecloth that I coloured to match the paper, I was pretty impressed with that!
Anyway I best crack on - hope to have some bits to share later/tomorrow or even next week - See you soon!
