You Rock!

Afternoon! Well I have been on a bit of a roll! Not quite sure what to do with myself at the moment, got so much to do but don't know where to start and so I finished a card!

So as some of you may know I quite like my Simply B Stamps at the moment! I love them - just wish I had more time to get more coloured up and finished! Seem to go through phases where I can do it and then i'm scared the next - some of the images I find quite challenging!  but last night I sat here and well...

I think it so ROCKS!!! Yes I'm happy, I'm impressed with myself and I feel like shouting it from the roof tops!!! I cant believe how well this image has coloured up!! This is thanks to Zoe and the wonderful books! Yes I will keep going on about them for a long time I think!

Ok so this is Andy from Teen Scene Glam Rockers.  I love this set I have a few of them coloured up and I now feel like I could finish them! Hopefully very soon!!!

I used some of my paper from SU and then used peel offs to write 'You Rock' - a little tip for some of you

** I have always loved the look of paper being torn from a pad - I achieved this look by using my bind it all to add the holes and the cutting into the holes with my scissors**

Now how much of a good idea is that?? OK some of you may now be thinking 'crumbs where has she been the last decade' LOL!!!  The guitars were cut from Theresa Collins paper I have had stashed away for goodness knows how long and the other paper is Theresa Frost - Vegas Night Life - again been stashed for a long time!!! The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E21, E11
R24, R27
B91, B93, B95
C2, C3, C4, C5
V01, V04, V06
Y08

Well I hope she has rocked you too!!   I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Top Tip Tuesday - My Tip Above

The 'Amazing' Book!

Morning all - what another beautiful day it is here today - yesterday the weather got so hot I couldnt open my pens! Now thats bad!!! Well I have finally got around to looking at the other book from MIC and WOW oh WOW! What I have learnt!

OK but I have to start with a little news.. Zoe was offering the set of 6 new digis to three lucky winners if you shared what you learnt by using the book... and I was one that won!

I have them printed and cant wait to start but I will share this post first!!! ohh and I will share them - if you like them you should pop over to the MIC store and grab them!!!

OK so back to the 'book' I have never been brave enough to try using one colour and grey... I have heard about it but didn't know where to start.. but I tried and although I'm not over impressed with the results it is something I will try again because it is practice!  But this book has helped me so much with blending more than one colour, I was so impressed with the results and have been putting it into practice - and I cant wait to practice more!!!

Now I have put the two side by side - to the left is the blending more than one colour and the right is the once colour with greys .

 I know the photo is not the greatest as I have been colouring at night I appear to be taking my photos under the worse light ever!!!  and yes I said I needed lots more work with the one colour and greys.  But I thought i would and should share anyway!

Well I hope I may have inspired you to buy the Shading Book if you haven't already and remember you can buy both and get a discount!!!

Hope to see you soon

Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge

Morning all! How are you today? Well im here today with the new challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Blog.  Thank you to all that joined in last week with our challenge, some beautiful entries - and well done to last weeks winner!

So onto this weeks challenge, we are looking for creations with

Flowers

The winner will get to choose three digis from the store!

I would like you to meet one of my new favourite CSD Stamps - this is Annabel - Sweet Treats! available from the CSD Store.

I just love her so much, that cheeky look on her face is adorable! The image was coloured with copics and I also used my Prisma pencils too! Im quite chuffed with how she turned out.  The paper is an old one from my stash, not sure how long it has been sat there for! I used a lovely die cut I found in my box just to break it up a bit, what was the best find was my (very old) flower punch.  I forgot I even had it till my craft stuff invaded the lounge a couple of weeks ago.  I used the reverse of the paper to punch the flowers and added rhinestones in the middle for bling.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
2 Sisters - in the Garden

Well I hope I have inspired you to join us this week at CSD, hope to see you there!

Something you may find interesting!

Morning all, well after a grey morning this afternoon is turning out rather beautiful, still got so much to do... we need to get hubby a suit for tomorrow and all sorts! But I have 'spent' my time somewhat wisely I think this morning.

After browsing facbook yesterday I came across an interesting picture from Make it Crafty.
So as you can guess I had to go and investigate as I would love to improve my technique(s)!

So after a few questions - and no using my common sense I came across the booklets over at the MIC store - I just had to have them! I printed the 'Colouring Techniques' off strait away and couldn't wait to get started.  I purposely printed the booklet off on 'normal paper' so I made myself read what was written first! and then went back and printed out the pages to colour on... this is what I created!

The photo was taken while it was very overcast this morning! But I have learnt so much - different ways of holding the pens, and I even went 'outside the box' on colours as - Well I wasn't scared! After I finished these I suddenly remembered there was another technique I wanted to try.  I have seen loads of people doing it and never had the 'oomph' to try as I never quite got where to start... but i'm so glad I tried!

OK so I haven't started on the 2nd booklet yet, I want to try a bit harder with the first before challenging myself to take too much into my lil brain at once!

Well I hope you will pop over to the MIC store and take a look at the books - they are AMAZING and well worth the money! I think anyone could learn a tip or two from it!

Hope to see you again soon!

Thank You Mrs Hunt

OK so this was meant to have been posted about a month ago and I forgot.  One of those moments, its only cause someone asked to see this that I realised that I never posted it on here! Im here to share with you one of the three gifts I did for Amelia's School Teachers.  I cant believe she has done her 1st year at 'big school' and she will no longer be one of the youngest in the school!

Now it was all done in a bit of a rush... One of those you think for so long what you want to do and then you never allow enough time! But I dont think the whole thing turned out too bad, I did the same for the other teachers too - all very much the same but all personalised to them!

Now I have seen quite a few people stamping on canvas bags and then colouring them! This again was one of the moments that I never allowed enough time to do what I wanted! But I don't think it turned out too bad! This is one of the lovely stamps from Sugar Nellies called Skool Days available here.  The images were all coloured with copics.

The card I made was using - Well I cant remember that stamp but I will edit the post later! once again she was coloured with copics!

Well I hope you like what you see, would love to read what you think! Hope to see you again soon

Butterfly, Flutterby, Today is your Day

WARING - This post is not craft related at all!!!

Ok so a while back some of you may remember me saying that I purchased Amelia some butterflies from a company called Insect Lore, They were originally for her birthday but due to holidays ect we had to delay them for 'A Summer Holiday Treat' plus a very good 1st school report present!.

So at the end of July we had a delivery of 10 tiny laver... they were diddy but grew so quickly, two weeks (give or take) they started the big transformation into chrysalises, just over a week later (last Saturday) we came down to breakfast to a beautiful butterfly!

They all seemed to 'hatch' while weren't looking - rather unfortunate! but we have had the joys of the beautiful creatures in our house for the last two days - all slowly hatching and allowing us to get up close! So today was the day that we have let them fly free - we have hatched all 10 but only 8 have been able to fly away due to the other 2 having poorly wings - so we are having to nurse them.

This little one can fly... but only in a downwards spiral! So he is staying with us - I don't think he would have much chance in the wild

This was Amelia trying to ask him to fly properly! so thoughtful is my little big girl!

Well I hope I haven't bored you too much - just thought it would be nice to share!

See you soon!

Just a Little Thank you

Morning all - well today I'm catching up with myself - so much to do and don't know where to start... so I decided a quick post was in order!

Anyway as some of you know Amelia had a 'crash course' in swimming last week, she had a fab time and the teacher was amazing! - so proud of Amelia for all she achieved and the teacher for being so patient with her! So anyway... on the 2nd lesson the teacher was going through 'butterfly' when Amelia did it her first question to her was.... do you think you Ariel?? This had me in creases! So what a better design for a thank you card than Ariel?

Now I always wanted to be a mermaid when I was little - and I always wanted 'ariel' colour hair! I trawled google looking for a 'Ariel colouring page' when i came across this one and I thought her pose was perfect to say thank you!

She was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20, R83, B06
R08, R27, R29
V04, V06
G02, G43

Im so happy with how her hair turned out... perfect colour I think! I added a little peel off thank you to the corner as I didn't want too much and then Amelia wrote a lovely little message in it for her!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

All That Scrap Wednesday - Use A Die (the image was die cut)
Paper Pretties - Square Card
Scrapbook Sisters - Thank You

Well I hope you like her! I will see you soon!

She is just so adorable! Now I apologise for the photo, I don't have the energy to pull out the big camera and so I have used the picture I posted on facebook! The image was coloured with copics and die cut using a new nellie snedden die I have.
