The Black Swan

Eveing all - well on the up - yes I sure am - feeling so so so much better now! OK its only thanks to Night Nurse that I am - but I so hope I keep up like this - have felt so so poorly recently!

Anyway - back to why I'm here - can you guess??? Yep the 13 Days of Halloween Challenges - I can't believe we are up to day 10! only three more days :(

Simply Challenged Challenges

I have SO been enjoying challenging myself the last couple of weeks - trying hard to think outside the box and make something different and test spooky!!!

Well Im here with the latest challenge - it stumped me at first - the theme is

'The show'

yep - I know that didn't mean much to me at first then I read what it was about!

'Ghouls, Killers and Witches on the big screen - use any non 'persona' image and make it resemble your favourite movie ghoul, ghost, witch or scary persona'

Ha ha it made NO sense to me - so after goggling 'persona' and lots of chatting I have finally come up with something….

The Black Swan - (Not to be confused with the 1942 swashbuckler film 'the black swan')

Its an American psychological thriller and horror film - the plot revolves around a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet by a prestigious NYC company.  The production requires the ballerina to play both the innocent and fragile White Swan as well as the dark and sensual Black Swan - between two dancers whom audition for the part are bot are embodied with qualities for each part - when the two dancer compete - for one the pressure causes them to lose their tenuous grip on reality as the defends into a living nightmare

Now I will confess and say i have only ever seen snippets of this film - and Im not one for being scared outa my seat - and the bits that I have seen did me NO favours - My sister and my mum have both seen it all the way through and found it quite scary!  And so here is my take on the film 'The Black Swan'

The image is the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy Lola from Simply B Stamps - now I LOVE this girl and it was pretty hard to colour her the way I have - Now I NEVER thought I would colour and image other than the way I thought it should be - and this is NOT how I saw her - BUT I am so so happy with how she has turned out!!! She was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, W2, W4, W5, W7

I die cut her with my oval scalloped nesties and then added memento start nights around the endue.  The paper is a DP that I purchased a LONG time ago - and I have no idea where from.  I also used my sissiz corner dies the I attached to the back of the image to give the swirls and y QC ballet shoes die!

Well I really hope you like my creation - I have to say I LOVE it - and so did my sister when she saw it! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Fairy Tale - Monochrome with dies and/or punches

Thanks so much for stopping by - remember the Boo! Hop (Im sure the other girls would LOVE to have you stop by too!!!) sign up - you could win $15 to spend at Simply B Stamps  - If you have a moment I would LOVE to know what you think of my card!

See you soon

Hugs
