My Grafico Fathers Day Challenge

Good morning, how are we all? What fab weather we are having at the moment, I have had a lovely weekend doing bits in the garden and playing with the kids.  Big news this morning from me, well lots of it actually.  We are finally getting the plasterer in today to plaster the girls room and put the stud wall in and hopefully turn the door in the next two days,  Nancy starts Pre-school after half term - she needs it now!

And the final bit...

It all came about a bit strangely... I noticed that a blogging friend of mine had not blogged for a while and I contacted Tammy at My Grafico, she hadn't heard anything either and so we started to try and 'hunt her down' as such.  It turned out she had been rather poorly and in hospital, I offered to 'stand in her shoes' for a few weeks and Tammy asked me if I could be a permanent DT member, and I accepted!

So onto the challenge this week!

Fathers Day!

All the DT have used the fab kit' Tool Time' available over at the store here.  I have to say at first I drew a blank but then it all fell into place.

This kit is grate for male cards, I can't wait to use it a bit more, I have a few other ideas with it! The wording was added to the blank to do list using my word program, the tools were all cut by hand and stuck on with foam pads.

I added a tool box on the inside of the card to continue the theme through. Ok so this card was done in a rush, but I have so much inshore for the next challenge! I hope you will join us over at My Grafico for the Fathers Day challenge, Hope to see you soon!

Happy Birthday

Good morning! Wow what another beautiful day.  The kids were out in the garden before 8:30 and its warm already! I can't believe the weekend is almost over again! Roll on the long weekend next week and half term, just hope the weather stay like this! I have hubby home for hopefully two days for the Jubilee weekend! we hope to get some family time!

Well the last couple of nights the kids have gone to bed and hubby and I have spend about 2 hours doing what we both love - Me colouring and creating - Him playing the guitar.  Its been really nice as although we haven't spoken much we have both spent time together after, trying to catch up with all the programs we have recorded!

Last night I decided to tackle a digi that has sat on the computer for ages and never been printed (I know big crime!) but she was easier than I thought she would be.  Meet Dandelion Girl from Wee Stamps - isn't she just the cutest!

She was coloured using copics

Hair - Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20
Dress and Shoes - BG000, BG01, BG10, C2, C4,
Watering Can - C5, C2, R22

The papers are from Fairy Belle collection that I purchased from here.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts - I am so obsessed, can't wait to save up and get some more! The butterflies were punched from Kraft card stock from a very small and very old punch I have and I added small rhinestones behind them.  The 'Happy Birthday' is from a clear set from Lili Of the Valley.  I don't think you can see very well but I did add some crystal stickles to the dandelions!

Todays a busy day so I best got on, hope to be home later getting my crafty on! Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Send A Smile For Kids - Anything Goes

Your Special....

Morning! Well what fantastic weather we have had the last four days, its been scorching hot! So glad its holing out for the weekend, lets just hope it continues for the next few weeks... so looking forward to next weekend with the Jubilee celebrations! Going to be a busy one!

Anyway I have had my creative wings back on and had lots of fun, Last night hubby sat playing his guitar while I sat on the sofa colouring... now that wasn't the best idea I have ever had... I ended up rather stiff and the light was perfect to begin with!

This is a beautiful digi that was a freebee a while back.  She has been sat patiently waiting to be coloured for so long and I finally got it together last night.  Im so happy with how she has turned out!

I used the FAB colour combo for her hair as shown on Kirstys Blog called The Odd Girl.  When I saw the combo I just had to try it! you can see it here!

  So you can guess she was coloured with copics

Hair -Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20, R83
Top - C0, C2, C4
Skirt - BG57, BG49, BG13

The butterflies are from a new cutting die I have from Die-namics called Die-namics Butterflies .  I have been trying to get hold of it for a while and never been able to I finally found it in stock over at Dies to Die for.  I added some rhinestones from my stash to add some sparkle.  The sentiment stamp is from a set from Lili Of the Valley.  The papers are from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Paper pad Gabrielle Collection purchased from Bebebubu.

The flowers were from my stash, a box of flowers from when I first started and some from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I love using the wire from the flowers now just to add some dimension, I have used all my leaves from my stash so its a cheep alternative!  I distressed the edges of each layer with my SU distressing tool and used Tim Holtz vintage photo with a sponge around the edges.

I am so happy with this card, it just all fell together.  Im hopeful that another one will happen today! You never know.  Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Delightful Challenges - Five or more flowers

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you again soon, If you have a moment would love to hear what you think!

Before the ink ran out!

Morning! Looks like another beautiful day! Yesterday I had a fly buzzing around my house all day (one of this you can hear it coming a mile off!), when I questioned this with a friend on Facebook... she told me it was the crafty fly and it was here to help! And help it did! I think its all coming back... slowly and simply but its coming!

Anyway further to my previous post where I told you the ink ran out... well this card was made using the 4'.5'' bit of the print that looked normal - well as normal as I think it looked! I think it was meant to be more green than turquoise... but still I worked with it!

Yes its another beautiful image from Tiddly Inks! now this one I hadn't seen till the other day when it came up as a suggestion that I might like it!  Oh don't you love adding things from the suggestion and then realising that you have spent way more than you should have!

The flower is one that I purchased from the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show last year at Ali Pally.  Its one of this that I fell in love with but never worked out what I was going to do with it!

Ingredients;

Medium - Copics - E000, E00, E02, R20, C4, W7, W5, BG49, BG57, E31, E33, E35, E37, E39
5.5 x 5.5 Card Blank
Papers - Digital from Sassy Designs and kraft
Image - Tiddly Inks

Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

City Crafter Challenge - A Rose is A Rose

Things Going Wrong...

Isn't always a bad sign...

I have been feeling really down recently with my creations, even thought about selling all my stash.  I have decided to take a couple of weeks out to find the bug again, just take the pressure away and find the 'inner crafter' again.

Last night I decided to go through the DP's I have on the computer and started playing around with a few, just shrinking the design and repeating it across the page, just cause well... no reason at all really!  Anyway,  I purchased some lovely papers from Sassy Designs last week (They have a sale!!) one of the sets I purchased was the Absinthe Digital Paper Pack (I got the solids too!).  So I shrunk the design down and decided to print... and WHAM.... the ink went half was though printing, it went from the lovely deep colours, to washed out browns... I cried, at that point I could have thrown it all out!

But I walked away and I thought, and I remembered the digs that I brought from Tiddly Inks... Now they have been following me for ages, not something that I would normally colour but these we shouting 'Buy me, Buy me' and so I did....  and then this fell together...

Yes it all just fell into place, including the paper that I was printing.  I couldn't believe it when I looked at it this morning....

Everything looked so good, so nice and as I want all my cards to look.

I have had to sit and admire for a while before I have been able to post this.... just realising that I put far too much pressure on myself sometimes, I am still taking a break and if the creativity flows... well so be it, I'm not going to push myself.  Ok so a bit more info on the card for you!

6x6 Scalloped Card blank
Image - Tiddly Inks
Papers - Digital- Sassy Designs  and Kraft card stok
Tim Holtz Ink Pad - Tattered Rose (distressed the edges of the Kraft card stock)
Medium - Copics; E000, E00, E02, R20, E04, E08, E31, E33, E35, E39, E37 C4, W5, W7

I didn't know what occasion to make this card for, so I have added a small sentiment to the inside of the card from Stampin Up, it says 'Wishing You Love and Laughter forever after' (I would have decorated the inside but no guarantee that the paper will turn out the same!).  I will be adding this card to my Facebook page under the category or 'Love, Engagement and Wedding'.

Well I hope you like my card, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Hooked on Crafts - Flowers

Morning, once again I'm late with posting, I will get my life back in order soon.... or at least I hope I will.

So this last week I have not been feeling the crafting, I have 'crafters block' this seems to be happening too often.  But I'm hopeful that the next couple of weeks I will spend doing what I want and how I want and hope it all comes back to be soon!

Anyway enough nattering... I'm here with the challenge at Top Tip Tuesday this week, now we all have that stash thats at least 6 months old that we have forgotten about, you know those bits at the back of the draw, ohh and that ribbon you let slip behind the desk last year... yes we all do it, so this week we are celebrating that forgotten stash and want you to...

the paper was from my stash and i added the rhinestones just to add dome bling and fill in the gap! The sentiment is from Bebebubu - Unity Stamps.  I can't help but love this stamp, so cute and works with so many images and for so many occasions (and every time i see it I sing you are my sunshine)!

I know what your all thinking... whats my old stash, what have I used that I forgot I had?  Well over a year ago I treated myself to the Die-Namics rolled roses die.  It has been sat there and neglected at the bottom of my draw, I final caved and used it for this challenge, I have to say not the easiest things to stick together... Mint and Pink

Evening, well i haven't quite been feeling the ticket, not had any get up and go to craft, don't think its helped that i have decided to raid my stash and re-home it.... I get all hard and say yes that can go, that can go, and then when I package it up... mmm should I have kept it? Oh well whats gone has gone and it gives me money for new stash....

No its not a new stash card, its another wedding!
I have used the lovely 'wedding couple' from Lili of The Valley.

I confess I have been on a bit of a roll with this one, I have had it stashed away for ages, never used till last week, I now fang get enough of them.  Im also getting there with the smaller cards, making 6x6 a lot now, just need to try other shapes rather than square!

The flowers were from my stash, they look very yellow in the photos but they are not like that in real life.
The pins were from my stash, I'm starting to learn to use them more now with the addition of the cheesecloth!  The border punch is an x-cut one, somehow my punches have been in two different draws, so it was a nice surprise coming across it.  I added small rhinestones in the middle just to add some bling, The digital paper was from Etsy and I inked the endues using Tim Holtz Spun Sugar.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

DRS Designs - Wedding
Shellys Images - Anything Goes
Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes

Mr & Mrs

Good Morning! How are we today? Well the sun is shining and well its a good day for me, washing on, Nancy playing quietly, waiting for my food shopping to arrive, will get that away and then chill a bit I think.  marks out in the garage... Ohhh and I'm waiting on my new flowers to arrive.

Anyway, I haven't been up to much, more wedding cards intact, felt like I have been on a roll.  I have to say I have learnt a very valuable lesson in the last couple of weeks.... Plan before you colour.  It makes such a difference.  I think where years back i used to do a lot of classes and everything was decided for you... I dint ever have to think, and from those classes I would buy the papers and stamps act and make the same thing over and over, now things have changed, and its only thanks to certain blogs and people that I have had the courage to try and learn!

This is the beautiful Whiff Of Joy Wedding Carriage Stamp.  I purchased it from a friend a while back and have never had the get up and go to colour it! You can purchase it here.  The paper is a digital I purchased from Etsy - the service from this company was amazing, it was here quickly and the number of designs in each set... well. and there are so many beautiful designs!

The image was coloured with copics I put all my pens away before taking notes, I can't wait to get my new pen storage sorted but that won't be till I move into the craft room!  The Mr and Mrs stamp is another Whiff Of Joy - I think I purchased this with the Bride and Groom.  The flowers were from my stash before Nancy decided to 'water the flowers - I'm loving my flowers at the moment and I'm hopeful to share my new storage for those with you later today! Thank you for stopping by, if you have time I would love to hear what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

Ewe are SO Sweet!

Morning, how are we?  Sorry I didn't get to post much over the weekend, the weather was too lovely and I did 13 loads of washing... unlucky for some hey?  Well I have managed to get a little bit crafty since, not felt like it much and with Nancy choosing to 'water my flowers' and no I'm not talking the ones in the garden, my lovely box of paper flowers... luck for me I have a very understanding husband who has allowed me to replace them on his credit card.... Roll on tomorrow when they arrive!

Anyway, I did do some browsing around blogland and came across this very cute freebie over at A Day For Daisies, its one image i just copied pasted and flipped it! I thought she was so cute!

and so I had to make a card with her, when I saw their challenge I thought I had to give it a go and so I did....

The lambs were coloured using copics

W2, W3
B97, B95, B93

and then distressed using Tim Holtz Vintage photo. It was originally around the edges till my hand slipped and went right across the image and so I filled it all in!

I didn't know what sort of sentiment to add, and so I printed this from my computer and distressed it the same.  The papers are from BoBunny Weekend Market 6x6.  Well I can't say much more, I hope you like this card, I would like to enter this into the following challenges;

A Day For Daisies - Go Vintage and add Polka Dots
Heart to heart - Polka Dots and Stripes
The Pink Elephant - Polka Dots and Stripes

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

The only thing is I haven't had time to craft! Well I have had time, but not felt like it! its been so busy the last 2 days with the electrician in that I got on on Thursday but today not had the get up and go - I think its just that I have so much other stuff to do - and I haven't SMASH*ed for a while, so I keep thinking that I should!

Anyway as you know I have been on a wedding roll.... they have been jumping together! This card has been made using the lovely Wedding Couple from Lili of The Valley - they have been sat in my stash for a while... and I have always been a bit saved to colour them!

The papers I purchased last week from my local craft shop and the flowers were from my stash.  I decided to add a bit of cheesecloth with a pin to the corner.  The image was coloured using copics.

E000, E00, E02, R20

So it is the season, so many people planning and trying to find that date! We have set a date for our church blessing, I can't wait, but lots to sort out... but I have a long time, over a year to arrange it all! Any way I have been working on a card for a friend, I made it once, wasn't happy and so made it again... as you do!

This is the beautiful Bride and Groom from mo's digital pencil, I have to say this is one of my all time favourite wedding stamps, so easy and can be done in so many colours! as you can see the thee here was the Purple!

The image was coloured with Copics;

Skin; E000, E00, E02
Purple and Leaves; V15, V17, YG17
Hair; E51, E53, E79, E77
Dress and Suit; C2, C5, C7

I thought I would give you a few little close ups of the detail around the image, all the flowers were from my stash, Im working through them slowly.  The sentiment stamp is from LOTV and the bell was from my embellishments.  The flourish is from The Hobby House.  I hope the Bride and Groom like it.
