Pear Tree Designs Challenge #50 Sketch Challenge

Morning all! Again! Well Im here to share with you the challenge this week over at Pear Tree Designs. This week we have a sketch for you all! I never used to like sketches, but I actually enjoy them more now!

This week we are sponsored by

They are offering the winner a set of 6 new digital images from her website, fortunately the DT were able to work with some of her images this week.  I have been able to work with the lovely 'daisy' image available at the Shop.

Onto my Creation, I had made another card but decided this was the better one of them both!

I coloured the flowers using my gelly roll pens (I found them hiding in the cupboard), then I mounted them onto some sky paper and then went over with stickles to ass some shine to them!

The border was made using my x-cut daisy punch and then I added some pearls and stickles within the flowers.

Well I hope you like my creation this week, I look forward to seeing what you create!

Pear Tree Designs - Challenge 49 'Stamp Something'

Morning all, well for the first time in weeks I feel like i'm getting on top of things, so much has been happening but we are climbing the mountain and feel good for it.

Im here to share with you this weeks challenge over at Pear Tree Designs.  I was so excited when I heard what the challenge was this week as it has been too long! This week we want you to

'Stamp Something'

Our sponsor is

They are brilliant for all your crafty supplies! Please if you have time pop over and take a look!

Now onto my creation for this week!

My stamps nearly had an ink attack... they didn't know what to think! After lots of time getting very very messy, playing around with a few things I decided to use (one of) my lovely new stamp from Stampin' Up!

The paper is made using a clip art from the internet, I printed a page where I had randomly put the 'splats' at different angels ect.  I mounted this onto a red card base.

I cut my paper to the size I wanted it before I stamped and then inked up my stamp and gradually moved it down the page!  This is an effect I have never tried before!  I mounted it onto black card and then onto a bit of red and the attached it to the backing paper!

I used a small remainder of the red card and used my Quickutz dies to cut out the word husband in black!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges this week.

Catered Crop - Recipe (Red, Stamp Ink and scene)
Pile it on - Boys and Girls come out to play!
scrappy Frogs - Anything goes
Crafty Creations - Anything goes

Well I hope you like what I have created and I hope you will join us this week, please remember there is a Maximum of 2 entries per blog, and please follow the challenge for this week!!

I look forward to seeing your creations! If you have time please pop over to the Pear Tree Designs blog and show the rest of the design team some love, they have all worked so hard this week!

Pear Tree Designs Challenge #43 Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday!

Thanks to everyone that joined us last week for our 'Mothers Day' challenge, the entries were beautiful, and congratulations to our winner;

Well done!

Ok onto the challenge.

This week at Pear Tree Designs we have a sketch to play with.

Our sponsor this week is the one and only

If you have time please take a look at the shop, I love the digis from over there!
They also have many other products too!

Onto my creations for this week, yes I have been a busy bee!!!
We were fortunate enough to be able to play with a couple of they images and I chose to play with both images this week.  First up we have Amy, isn't she adorable!?  I made this card from the kids to my Mother In Law for mothers day as I felt it was very sweet!

The papers are from my stash, they were scraps in the scrap box that fitted rather nicely onto this card! I couloured the image with pro-markers I used xxxx, xxxx for her shorts and top, xxxx for the t-shirt and socks, Blush and sun-kissed pink for her skin, Ice Grey 5 for her shoes and xxxx and xxxx for her hair

The flower is from one of those 'make it up as you go along' kits, so many petals in the pot! I held them together with a yellow brad.   And now, a first for me....

I decorated the inside of the card!!! Not very much but it kept the decoration going and I felt it looked rather pretty!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Next up we have Taski, I couldnt resist a bit of sparkle on this one, and some handmade flowers!!

The papers are mostly odds and bits I have laying about he sentiment is from a new Whiff of Joy set i purchased from e-bay a week or so ago!

Here is a close up of the flowers, I used the small and large flower punch. As the paper is only decorticate on one side with the centre of the flower i put the punched shapes back to back so it hid the white a bit more!

I then put a brad through the middle, using my mister wet them down and then scrunched them up oh and all important glitter!!

This is the image on its own, I hadn't realised how blurry it was till now! You can just about see the sparkle on her wings!

Whooo... once again I decorated the inside of the card!!! Im getting there with all this stuff now!!!!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Well I hope you like it and that you will join us with the sketch this week, if your looking for more insperation please check out what the rest of the design team have created over on the Pear Tree Designs Blog, they would love to hear what you think!

I look forward to seeing you there!

Pear Tree Designs Challenge #42 Mothers Day

Morning all, well had a busy night last night catching up with bits, well trying to catch up, I think I will be running in circles for the next month trying to get on top of all this stuff! Oh well, i'm keeping busy and thats the main thing! Silly blogger decided to play up last week, so thats why there is not posts from last week, but I will catch up this week. Its a busy and exciting week!

Im here with the challenge at Pear Tree Designs this week we are looking for the cards for the Mum's, Mummies or maybe even Grandmas and Nannies! so that means the theme for the week is

'Mothers Day Cards'

With Mothers Day just around the corner were looking for the cards you have made for them!
I have 6 to make in total as I make one from me and hubby and then one from the kids, oh the joys!

This week our sponsor is

If you have time please take a look at the shop, some lovely digis over there!

Onto my card for this week.  I have used the stunning new stamps from Whiff of Joy Spring Stamp kit, I was so happy when this came through the door, but I didn't have time to play before going away, so you can imagine how eager I was when I got home!

I have used the adorable little Honey Honey stamp from the kit, she is so adorable. I love the expression on her face, she looks so pleased with herself!

I used a kraft card blank for the base of my card, the papers I have used are from my stash I know that the green one is a Bo Bunny paper, I have had it sat there quite a while thought.

The flowers are from various places, the lilies are from my local craft shop, they are made from foam but look so stunning, the big purple rose is also from my local craft shop, the smaller ones are from e-bay.  The beady bits are from The Works, they are £1 a pack and you get loads in them! I must go and stock up on them this week! I used silicone glue to stick them down as you get time to move them about.

The punch is a Martha Stewart lace punch, I punched both sides of the paper, lining it up from the middle out.

I coloured the image with pro-markers (they enjoyed their break away from me!), but I was rushing so I have no idea as to what colours i used.  I cut the image using a nestie and left her feet in (OK so i cheated and drew round the nestie and cut it by hand!)  I then used a sponge and green ink around the edge.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Catered Crop - Child Stamp, Border Punch, Spring, Ovals
The Crafty Pad - For the Mum's
Creative Cow Girls - Spring or Easter

Pear Tree Designs Challenge #36 Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!

So have we all been spoilt this morning??

Well if not were going to spoil you rotten over at Pear Tree Designs with the most appropriate challenge here today! This week we would like to see all your valentines day cards! well what else would we be asking for today and the rest of the week???  We will be sponsored by

Well this is the card that I have made for the challenge, I will show you what I made for my husband later! Its my first attempt at the other things, so on with my card for this week.

Ages and ages ago I received some stamped magnolia images (I actually forgot i had them!) and so I have decided to use one of them on my card for today, I feel its very appropriate!

The card stock started life as plain white, as some of you will know last week I received my order from stampin' up,  I purchased the swirly sentiments set, so versatile, I cant wait to use it a bit more!

The ribbon is from my stash I think I brought it up at the craft shop that closed down recently (i brought it about a yr 18 mts ago!).  I decided to play cleaver and instead of wrapping it round I cut a slit in the card for it to go through.  As the sentiment is 'wrapped up with love' I felt making the card front look like a parcel was a good way forward, and so i tied the excess ribbon round and twisted it this way and that!

I started stamping the white card stock with the sentiment that says 'sending you a little something wrapped in a whole lot of love', (I felt it was a good one to use!) in sepia ink and then used the good old SU dabbers to distress the background, I did end up doing the back of the card too!

Once I had coloured my little man, I decided to distress the edges of him too, just so he blended a bit more, but when i put him up to the card he just looked silly, so I ended up mounting him on some miri card, just to break it up a bit.

For his skin tone, I used Sun-kissed pink and Blush, for his hair I used Cocoa, Shale and Caramel, His jumper I coloured with China Blue and Royal Blue, his trousers with Pine and Leaf Green and lastly his socks were coloured with Poppy and Cardinal red.

I then decided to stamp the sentiment in silver onto a piece of white card, distressed the edges, I then mounted this on with sticky pads! I just thought it made it a bit more obvious what the sentiment was!

Ok so this last picture is just to make you laugh, it was very late in the evening when i took these photos, sometimes while I craft the cat sits with me, but not tonight,,,, she decided that she was going to display it for me!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Craft Us Crazy - Anything Goes
Ellephantastic Challenges - Distressing with a LOVE theme
One Stop Card Craft Challenge - Love is in the air

Pear Tree Designs have a Facebook Page too! Why not pop over and check it out??

I hope you like it, if you have time please let me know what you think!
thank you!

Pear Tree Designs Challenge 35 - Free For All!

Morning everyone, I hope you have had a lovely weekend, I have been busy getting some much needed crafting time in on Sunday! Mark is now off work on Sundays until March, so I will be making the most of having a bit of 'me' time!

Onto this weeks challenge over at Pear Tree Designs, this week its that one that we all LOVE, Free For All!
We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs!

We were fortunate enough this week to be given a couple of images to play with and here is what I have created, so if you would like to take a look at more of whatCrafty Sentiments have to offer, why not take a look at the store?

The first card I have made is using the digi 'Bear Couple 2', I felt it was the perfect image for an engagement card, after all it is coming up to that special day of the year when many people will 'pop' the question!

I coloured them with my pro-markers, i tried to make them look fluffy but I think that is a technique I need to practice! Thea heart that they are mounted on was cut from a piece of white paper, I coloured with with my pro-markers, I used poppy to colour the heart then went round the edge with cardinal red.  I then inked it up with versa-mark and heat embossed it with ultra thick clear embossing powder, as you can see in the photo below, I didn't get a sooth effect that I was hoping for, so again I need a bit more practice! But I think it looks OK!

This is just a close up of the bears, they do have a bit of tone and texture!  The purple paper at the back started life with me as plain white, I used my Wisteria cats eye ink to create the paper, I just dabbed it all over!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Crafty Hos'  - Love
I Did It Creations - love is in the air

The other card I have made it using 'Blitz with present', I thought she looked so adorable and so versatile too! She could be a Birthday Card, Thank you card, Christmas card, they list is endless! I decided to make a thank you card, you never know when you may need a little card to say 'thank you'!

Once again she has been coloured with Pro-markers and cut out, the background of the card was once again dabbed with the Wisteria cats eye.

I decided to add a bit of ribbon to this card, I couldn't find a colour to match so decided to be daring and go for red! I then stuck three 4mm rhinestones  on each end and the using peel offs I wrote 'Thank you very much!'.

Well I hope I may have inspired you this week to join us at Pear Tree Designs
and if you have time why not take a look at Crafty Sentiments Design Shop??

If you have time, please let me know what you think!
