For a Special Friend

Good Morning! brrrr isn't it cold :( the only thing I'm LOVING at the moment are the trees turning, such fantastic colours! and when the light catches them - well yes I'm nattering again!

Anyway I'm here today so share a very special project with you - a friend of mine who is a fantastic artist (you can see some of her works here) and I were talking one night and I came up with the MAD idea that I would make a little book for her!

Well it took me ages to think of how or what to do in the first place - well we overcame that and then I put it to the side - and it sat there staring at me…. and I finally got to finish it!!!  I have to say that I'm so over the moon with how she turned out!

For this creation I used the beautiful Dreads from Saturated Canary.

The image was coloured with copics - now because it was so long ago I really can't remember what ones I used :(

She kind of reminds me of Meg in more ways than one - that could be as I did try to make her look a bit like her!!  I don't know how or why but this just fell together when I purchased a paper pad from Craftwork Cards called Time Flies - this pack is simply stunning.

I'm normally one to buy a paper pad and have it sat there to stare at for at least 6 months - but for some reason I just had to break into this pack and start using it strait away! And I'm so glad I did.  To make it look softer i distressed the edges of all layers using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

613 Avenue - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Crafting When we Can - Seasons (summer)
That Craft Place - Things with Wings

Well I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope to see you again soon

I have to say I still don't know what season is my favourite - I like them all for different reasons

Anyway I'm here to share with you an adorable magnolia stamp - as you know I'm getting a thing for these little ones at the moment :) For this card I have used the adorable Bonny Tilda

Now you can see why I fell for him…. that cute bottom!!! LOL - the image was coloured using copics

Skin
E50, E51, E53, E11, E13

Adele

Evening all, I know some what of a late in the day post for me, BUT I have been thinking loads about this.... and I mean loads!

As some of you know a couple of weeks ago I had the oppertunity to join the MIC hop for the new release of the Alice in Wonderland images, it really made me realise how much I miss using my MIC images that I have - I think I got myslef to a point where I didnt think I was capable of them, and so I have been on a bit of a roll with them this week.

Then the wonderful Zoe announced that she was thinking about starting something new... she told us to keep our eyes peeled as something about to come up - so a number of us sat patiently waiting (well I tapped my fingers *Lots*), it was announced that there was a DT call
And so I looked at the details and I thought yes, no, yes, no, yes.... and so on.

And so while thinking the whole yes v's no - I coloured up the beautiful Adele and shared her on the MIC Facebook group - she has been an image that I fell in love with when I first saw her and i just had to buy her - but I have been somewhat afraid of colouring her since I got her.

The comments I had from so many people in there was amazing it really boosted my confidence and the way I see my own work! And so tonight I have sat here and made Adele into a finished card

Due to the size that I printed the image its a very odd sized card! Its a 7x7 - she was too big for a 6x6 and I didnt think I could handle and 8x8 and so I cut the card to size!
The image was coloured with copics;

E50, E51, E53, E93
E31, E33, E35

The papers are from my all time favouriate Prima 'Fairy Belle'.  The edges have all been distressed with Tim Holtz distress ink Tea Dye, the rest of the embelishments are all from my stash - the rose originally had a loop on it to be hung but I have learnt that 99% of the time you can cut them off!

Well I do hope you like her - I would like to enter her into the DT call at Make It Crafty.
Thank you for stopping by and I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think!

Hugs

SO a couple of weeks ago I saw that "The Stamping Chef' were looking for some new chefs to join the team - I thought I would apply and see - well…. yes I got on the team!! hence why I have been so quiet this past week, trying to get ahead of myself with it all :)

I will be back very very soon with my first Friday Release :)  Now please let me introduce to you

She is available now from the store - I just LOVE her, there are so many different ways to colour her and so many different things you could do with her!  I decided that I wasn't going to use her full body on this occasion!

The frame, sentiment and the stars were all cut on my cameo, The papers are from xxxx - I love this paper pack as it all co-ordinates!!  I distressed the edges of the paper using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye and the flowers are from my stash :)

The image was coloured with copics

Time For Tea?

Afternoon all, I think the sun stole my mojo for a while, been sat in the craft room staring at a walls all week,  not been the best of weeks, lots of changes and realisations in my life, BUT I'm on the up now and that is all that matters!

So last night it came to me, yes mojo came running home and we were re-united :) So I made good use of the time and actually finished some stuff off that has been staring at me for well over a week!  I coloured the gorgeous Tea Time Avery  from Paper Nest Dolls  up in a bit of a different style….

Yes I braved the 'No Lines' thing - its was pretty scary and as I have never coloured her up with lines in the first place I don't think that helped!! Plus people are used to seeing various stamps coloured up without lines that sometimes the style is not right, but I don't think she came up too bad!

The image was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
C1, C2, C3, C4
E50, E51, E53,
B93, B95, B97

The papers are from Fancy Pants and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  You can just see round the edge where I distressed using TH Old Paper distress ink pad.

I coloured the pins with my copics so the colours tied in with that on the papers and the image.
I also had to add a little charm in there too!!

the watch just fitted perfectly! Im so happy with how this card turned out! I hope you like her too! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Digitally Sweet - Bright Colours
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to stop by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Hope to see you again soon :)

Sparkler Ellie

Morning all - busy busy times at the moment, all is happening so fast!

Anyway hope your all well! Im so excited to be here today to be sharing this project with you - its something a bit different for me.  I just fell head over heals for Sparkler Ellie when I saw her on the new release at The Paper Nest Dolls - you can purchase her here in the shop - You will see why I love her - her face is just SOOOO cute!!

Then I had this idea of making something special for my certain little lady who will turn 6 in just a few days time - she loves to sit and draw - you should see some of the notes we get at the moment!!! So what would be better than her own personalised notebook!

I just LOVE how she has turned out - Im so in love with her hair! The image was coloured with copics

E000, E00, E02, R20
E31, E33, E35
R81, R83, R85
YG03, YG17, YG67
Y04

I also used some of the beautiful MME Collections 'Memories' 6x6 paper stack, Im so head over heals for this set - once I had cut it to size I distressed the edges using Tim Holtz Tea Dye ink pad - I seem to be using that lots at the moment!  The ruffled ribbon is from my stash - I seem to have a stack of it at the moment!  I also had to use some of the lovely Swirly Pearls from Prima, They are just so gorgous, just wish I could locate them in the UK!  You may have also noticed the additional A - yep cut using the cameo - just felt it made it more personal for Miss A!

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

Crafty Sentiments - Girl Power
Inky Chicks - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes

Well thank you for stopping by, I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! See you again soon

Bubble Bath Ellie

Morning all, well things are starting to go quieter - but not much still got so much to do and not much time - but finally found a bit of time for sitting down and crafting :)   So with having some time I have been playing with my Dolls - NO not like Barbie - the gorgeous ones from The Paper Nest Dolls

Now I just fell in LOVE with Bubble Bath Ellie when I first saw her she is available from The Paper Nest in Rubber and Digi - she has been sat in the pile of 'to colour' for far far too long and her time finally came around!

Once she was coloured though I did become a bit stumped on what to do next!  So after searching the internet for a while I came across this fantastic sketch from Dutch Magnolia Lovers - I just had to give it a go although I don't use Magnolias!

It all just fell together from there, I used my lovely cameo to do most of the cutting - I did take me a while to think of the sizing but it all just came together! Here she is a bit closer!

She was coloured with copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20
E30, E31, E33, E35
Y15, Y17
B93, B95, B60
V000, V01
W0, W1, W2

I added some diamond glaze over the top of the bubbles to give them more of a realistic look, once she was dried I stuck her to the circle and cut the excess of the image away, The edges of all the papers were distrusted using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Old Paper, I didn't want anything that was too heavy on the colour.  The papers are all from Dovecraft Back to Basics III - its a beautiful paper pack with all the pinks and purples in! I then couldn't resist with adding some of my flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts on there too!

 I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Art With no boundaries - Anything Goes
Created with love - Your favourite Things (My Pens :) )
Digi Make Over Challenge - Punches/Dies (Used my Nesties)
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Well I hope you like her as much as I do - Remember there is the Paper Nest Dolls Challenge blog that have a fantastic theme of 'Summer lovin' running and only a little more time to enter - why not pop over and take a look and maybe join in :)

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to read what you think!
See you again soon

Creative Creations Challenges - For you Dad

Morning! Wow this is a miracle for me - two posts within a couple of days! I have been so busy with stuff its crazy! I would love to tell you that things will calm down in a few weeks - but no sooner will all the stress be over it will them be summer holidays!

Anyway I'm here today with the latest challenge at Creative Creations Challenges - we had a great turn out last week well done to everyone that joined in, remember to pop to the blog to see if you were our lucky winner!

So onto this weeks challenge - we have a fantastic and very appropriate challenge for you this week -

For you Dad

Yep were looking for your Fathers Day Creations. We have a wonderful sponsor this week

The team were lucky enough to have some steps from Indigo Blu to work with - I know the team had so much fun with them :)

I got to work with xxxx as my set - I have to say at first I was somewhat stumped - its been a while since I had the stamps and inks out - but my word did I enjoy getting messy! I even managed to make two cards this week!

First up I kept it simple, I used the cogs stamps with my TH Walnut Stain ink to stamp the background, using my brush I then distressed the background using Tea Dye.  I stamped the layered pieces in black Memento and distressed them with the tea dye, I layered them onto Kraft and stuck them with silicone.

The twine is from my stash I also ran that through the Tea Dye to make it blend more, the farm was added using twine to secure it.

I have to say I LOVE how this card has turned out! I would like to enter the card above into the following challenges;

Craft Lovin Challenges - Fathers Day
Crazy 4 Challenges - Fathers Day
Sugar Creek Hollow - Fathers Day

I was somewhat messy after finishing it and so I decided that I was going to get more messy…….
For this one I stamped the background up and then scrunched it, once again distressed it using my brush and TH Tea Dye, I did add a few stipples of Walnut Stain in to.  I did the same with the cogs.

I then stamped the image again but this time only very lightly distressed it.

Well I hope you like my creations, I had so much fin making them! I would like to enter the second card into the following challenges;

Bloggers - Masculine
Inspire me Fridays - Anything Goes
Simply Create too - Fathers Day/Masculine

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to know what you think! I do hope you will pop to the blog and see what the rest of the team have made :) See you again soon

Morning all - I know I'm pants at this blogging at the moment - there just isn't enough hours in the day for me to do all I need to at the moment - roll on after the Easter holidays - Nancy will be at nursery one morning a week :)

So I'm here today with the challenge at Creative Creations Challenges - Its a fab theme this one…

The Letter B

So your creation need items that start with the letter B
(blue, bling, buttons….)

Our sponsor this week it the wonderful

and the prize is two digs from the shop!

So onto my creation this week - I have spent hours pondering what to do - I wanted to try something different and so I decided that I was going to try a tag…. each DT member had to choose an image to work with - I chose the cute Violet Vintage

My B's

Blue, Brown, Buttons, Butterfly(s), Bling, Beautiful, (rose) Buds

Not bad for a first attempt I don't think! I used lots of odd bits from my stash - the base of the tag was made from a scrap of Kraft Card and the backing paper was an odd scrap!! I also had to get the TH DI Tea Dye out on this one to add some more brown!

The image was coloured with copics;

E50, 51, 21, 11, 57, R20
E33, 35
R39

The ribbon buttons and twine are all from odd bits laying about in the room.  The butterflies were punched using my MS punch and kraft card - the 3mm rhinestones are from Hobby House and the flowers all from WOC. I hope you like her - Im quite impressed with how she came out :) I would like to enter this tag into the following challenges;

A Christmas Anything Goes

Good morning - I know it has been very quiet here recently - too quiet I know- I am sorry but I have been busy - I firstly had some commitments that I needed to take care of and then I had to have a clear up - so anyway I know your thinking - what commitments? well I have been lucky enough to be offered a DT spot at Christmas at Sweet Stampin - I was over the moon when I received the e-mail I couldn't quite believe that I had been chosen to work with such a talented bunch of people!!

So I really hope you will take a look around here at my creation and then pop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the amazing creations from the DT.  The theme for this challenge is

Anything Goes

and we have some wonderful sponsors

and a set of Promarkers from Letraset

So now you have seen the grate prizes on offer let me share with you my creation for this - now I am so far behind with everything this Christmas I think with the mojo running it just did not help but suddenly it came to me to make a special gift for Miss A's teacher.

I used one of the beautiful angels from Lili of The Valley - I have had her for a few years now and every christmas she has to make an appearance! The papers are Bazill Basics Believe stack - I have had to purchase another stack this morning as the papers are just so lovely.  My favourite has to be the kraft colour with the snowflakes! I also went round the edges with TH DI to soften the look.  I also used a few nesties on this project - normally one is my limit!

She was coloured up with copics and then die cut with my nesties.  I added some TH DI around the endues to soften it and keep the theme going through! I also added stickles to her wings to make her sparkle.  Now I guess your wondering why I think this creation is so special?!?  Take a look at the inside.

Yep I have made a little candle box for Miss A's Teacher.  I am somewhat impressed with it - I have to say I did take the long route with it though! plus with loosing track of time with it all it took me a lot longer than I expected.  once again the papers on the inside are from the same stack as before.  The candle box was one that I made a couple of weeks ago that I have stuck down using silicone.

I just had to add a sentiment on the inside and so I chose one from a Personal Impressions set called 'snow is falling' I purchased a while back - I die cut it and then added more DI around the edges.  Well I hope you like my creation I would like to enter this into the following challenges;

Lexis Creations - Christmas
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Totally Stampalicious - Anything But A Card
Top Tip Tuesday - Christmas

Thanks for stopping by - I do hope you will join us with this challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin! I can't wait to see your creations! If you have a moment I would love to know what you think! Hope to see you soon

Slime and Grime
The creation must have Lime green and distressing

So well OK so yes this did stump me for a while and I have been throwing pens out the craft spot… But I have created!

mmmm she sure is green! I have used the gorgeous Bride of Chrisenstein Betty - she is available from Simply B Stamps! I have to say she is one of my favourites at the moment - I seem to LOVE colouring her all the time!  I as usual coloured her with copics -  The papers are all from the Chillingsworth 6x6 paper stamps and I used my SU distressing tool and Tim Holtz Tea Die ink pad! Im so pleased with how she has turned out - I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

The papers are from the Bo Bunny 6x6 Gabrielle Collection, I distressed the edges using my SU distressing tool and then used Tim Holtz Tea Dye around the edges. The flowers were all from my stash and so were the pins.
