Welcome Felicity

Afternoon, its getting so cold here I can hardly feel my fingers and that is with the heating on!!! Brrrrr…. can't wait for the summer to come back!!! Anyway I'm here to share with you today a card I made for my sister to give to fiancés brother and wife when their beautiful little bundle arrived a few weeks ago.  I have seen pictures of her and she is so so so tiny… makes me broody!!

Anyway back to the card, now this gave me a reason to pull out one of the all time favourite images - Bambino available here.  This is one of my all time favourite images to colour up, you can add as much or as little as you like to the image and it always looks so adorable!

Now it did take me slightly out of my comfort zone, I have been sticking to 6x6 cards recently, but this one is a 6x8 , thankfully the papers I used were 12x12!! All the papers were from my local craft shop - I layered each paper onto pink card stock just to add some depth to the card.

The image was colours with copics;
E50, E51, E53, E21, E11
R20, R22, R24

The brads I used have been sat in my stash since the first craft show I went to…. and that was over 6 years ago - I suppose I have never found the right creation for them!!  Then there is the ric-rac… again that has been in the stash for some time!! The flowers were all from my stash, I believe most of them are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  All the text was cut on my cameo - she is one amazing too you know!!

I am so please with the way she turned out and I know she was loved by the recipients!  I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Copic Hair Tone

Good Morning, hope your all well :)

A while ago I did a few tutorials on how I colour skin and hair, now due to other commitments I had to step back from the DT that I did it for, these posts have been sat on my blog for ages and so I have decided to share them with you :)

For this tone I have used Copics;

E33, E35 and E37

And the gorgeous 'I'm a Raver' from The Stamping Chef - Now as I wanted to share a hair tone with you I am using the image I coloured the skin of last time.

I have masked the image on my computer to just give me her head - It also meant I could make the images slightly bigger to show you :)

So lets begin…..

I start by laying down E33 over most of the hair area

I leave the white areas where I think there may be some shine - these will get coloured in time.

Taking E35 I then come in over most of the E33

I do make sure to leave some of the areas showing of E33 as you can see.
*TIP* remember you can always add more colour later but you can't take it away so start by covering a smaller area than you want the darker area in the first place*

Taking E37 I then once again go over some of the area where I put the E35 - mainly where I think the shadow will be

Taking back your E35 go back over the area as before making sure you cover all the area where you put E37 to blend it

Its at this point you will see if you want the shadow to be more, remember don't add too much at once and these pens can deceive you - if your worried allow the ink a bit of time to dry - it helps!

Going back to your E33 colour the entire area to finish blending

You may want to cover it with E33 and leave it a few moments to see what it looks like - you can add more in but be sure not to over saturate the paper :) And hey presto - there she is!!
I finished her up using

YG03, YG17 for her eyes
RV25, RV29 for her hair tie and top

If you have any questions just comment below and I will do my best to answer them - Well I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial today and I hope to be back soon with more :)

Thanks for stopping by

Sunday Sketch & Stamp

Good Morning! hope you all well and the weather where you are isn't too chilly!!!  Its another Sunday closer to Christmas, I can believe where this year has gone!!!  So I'm here with you today with the newest challenge over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp, I have to say I'm so loving being a part of this team, sketches are something that I used to avoid as really I never knew what to do with them... but now I love them!!!  So the sketch this week has been designed by the wonderful Catherine and here it is!

Now I love the simplicity of this one! I had the perfect image in my head for what I wanted to do.  Its an old stamped image I found that must have been put away light years ago!!!

Now how adorable is this little guy, I remember buying him and stamping him... and then never  colouring him and so selling him :( sad sad story I know - especially when I love these stamps so much now.  The bench was pretty much the same story but allowed it to collect some dust before selling it!!

The image was colored with copics and then hand cut.... yes I did just say hand cut... and then I stuck the image's together using silicone.  The papers are from a set that came with a magazine, I wanted something that wasn't too heavy for this card! I used one of my Martha Stewart punches for the lace border!!

I just love the way he has turned out and I cant wait to give him to someone this Christmas!! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Color me Creative - Anything Goes
Crafty Calender - All things Christmas

I hope you like him too! if you have a moment I would love to know what you think of him! Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope to see you again soon :)

Tilda at Christmas

Good Morning! Ohhhh Christmas is getting close :) I have to say I'm really looking forward to this Christmas - I'm making new decorations for the tree and we are even getting new fairy lights…. Yes I know its the little things in life that keep me happy :)

So I'm here to share with you today a Christmas card I have made, I'm really trying to make as many as I can this year for family and friends and have some ideas that I really need to get down on paper sooner rather than later - now I'm loving how much my little came can do - the possibilities are endless and so I have started to make some cards with a bit of a difference!

I have used the sweet xxxx I think she is just so adorable and se was so easy to colour up!  The card shape was cut on my cameo - to get the paper on the inside the same I just did an internal offset - my little machine makes life so easy!!!  I decided to keep the card quite simple as its quite small, I added a small doily, again cut on the cameo and a simple rhinestone flourish that has been in my stash for a while.

The Christmas sentiment is from Lili of the Valley - this I cut by hand!  I added a little bit of gauze and a red pin just to finish it off :) I think she has turned out pretty cute!! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Noel

Morning! ohhhh Christmas is getting close and I'm getting ready for a fair at the end of the month - it will be the one and only that I do this Christmas, just not had the time and with kids being ill too!! Oh well I'm still battling on - I'm here to share with you today a card I made a while ago using my new love of magnolias!!

I wanted something that was a bit different for Christmas this year, not your subtle gentle card, I wanted something that had a pop and bang to it!

I think I hit it, well its completely different for me anyway!! I used the sweet xxxx - she is so easy to colour with all that skin

Digi Chooseday - All about the Craft!

Good morning! hope you all well! Im back this morning with the latest challenger over at Digi Chooseday, some fantastic entries to the last challenge!! You can check out the winners here on the blog :)

So this week we have a nice and easy one for you… were looking for your creations that are….

'All about the Craft'

Yep were looking for anything thats crafty… it could be the image, it could be the creation…. I know the DT have done an amazing job this week with creations so if your looking for some inspiration stop by.  So let me share my project with you this week…. I have used the sweet Emma Canning Colour me Happy Digi - I think a lot of us on the DT took a bit of a shine to her this week - there are so many images that are perfect for this challenge over at the store :)

For this challenge I have made a present that I will be sending to one of my very good crafty friends this Christmas, I can't wait to send it to her!!  I have made a small wooden hanging sign.  I purchased the sign cut to size with the holes pre drilled, i popped to B&Q and purchased a little pot of matt paint that is a slight off white.  The wording is a fail from the SIL store cut from vinyl, some of it didn't cut too well but I didn't feel it needed those bits.

I messed up a little and forgot that I could do the whole 'Print and Cut' on the cameo so I hand cut the image, oh my did that make my hand hurt!! The image was coloured with copics;

Skin and Hair;
E50, E51, E53, E21, E93, E31, E33, E35

Top
V91, V95, RV10, RV13

I just love the way this has turned out, I can't wait to send it to the special person!! I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

All Craft Challenge - Anything but a Card
Make it Monday - Anything Goes

A Christmas Candle

Good morning! Hope your all keeping warm - this weather is horrid!!! I can cope with the frosty crisp mornings but this horrible wet, damp mornings are not for me! Bring back the summer I say!!

Anyway I'm here today to share something a bit different with you today, last year I attempted a few candles for decorative items at Christmas, well as I still had some here I have given them another go - now the idea of melting the image into the candle and I do not get along - it always goes wrong, so I have decided to make a 'cuff' for my candle!

Its turned out much better than I expected! So pleased with the result! I have used the beautiful Santa Lucia - she has been sat on my desk for ages watching me so I just had to make something with her.  She was coloured with copics.  I used my nesties to die cut her and also used the scalloped ovals to layer her.  I added some Memory Box die cuts around the edges to add some character.  I also used my MS punch for the leaves and some flowers from my stash.

The image is held onto the candle but some lace and ribbon that I have stuck with some extra strong glue.  You can't really see it but I then added some spots with stickles all over the candle!!
All in all I love how this has turned out - I'm thinking of keeping her for us for Christmas!!!
I hope you like her too I would like to enter this candle to the following challenges;

Addicted to Stamps - Punches/Dies

A Non Traditional Christmas

Good morning!
Hope your well, the winter is well and truly setting in - I can't believe how cold it is and how many colds this family have had already… We have all been struck… Mr B is calling it 'man flu - but hey ho!

Anyway I had some amazing news the other day, I have been asked to be a Guest Designer over at Treasured Times! I couldn't believe it when I was asked and of course I accepted!! So my spot is for December but I just fell in love with this image and had to colour her up for the latest challenge over there of

Not Traditional Christmas Colours

Now I don't think many people would think of this image as a Christmas one at all - I sure didn't, she is from the wonderful designer Christine Young - you can see some of her amazing work over at the Treasured Times Store - Please allow me to introduce you to

I just fell in love with her when I saw her and had to get her coloured up - I then felt she just fitted with the challenge!  The image was coloured with copics;

A little while ago I was asked to join the DT over at Sunday Sketch and Stamp, with all that has been going on here it completely slipped my mind, and so I'm here to share with you today a creation I have made!! The sketch this week has been designed by Berit who is unfortunately no long with us on the DT she has made a fantastic sketch for us though

Now as usual there are a few rules to follow, you can find them over at the Sunday Sketch and Stamp Blog.  I have chosen to work with one of my Magnolias - she has been waiting for me to use her for ages and so today was the day!!

And she has donated the winner a choice of two digs from the shop!
Now sadly this is the last time Krista will be sponsoring us :( so a HUGE thank you for your kind sponsorship over the past year :)

So onto the challenge this week, I think (and hope) this one will get some more of you joining in….

'Sparkle and Shine'

Were looking for some shimmer and glitter on your creations, it could be glitter, stickles, rhinestones… the list is endless!!!  So the DT were fortunate enough to get a digi to work with, I chose the sweet 'Tidy Up' for this challenge.

(I appologise for the photo I am really struggling here today with light!)

She has turned out really nicely - slightly larger than what I normally do - she is an 8x8 so it was a bit scary!! She was coloured with copics;

Skin and Hair;
E50, E51, E53, E11, E93, E31, Y32, E21
