Thank You... Kind Friend...

Afternoon all, well stressy day today, have a friends 60th birthday party on Saturday and were are meant to be dressing up.... I cant find anything to wear! I have tried everywhere, fancy dress costumes come up so small, and I dont have time to make one myself! But I will be in town tomorrow so hope to find something!

So in-between stressing I have made my friend a special card, she has been 'using' me as her 'party planner'. I have had so much fun with all the planning, its going to be so much fun! I wanted to make her something a little special, I have tried!!!

This is 'Butterflies and Pigtails' available over at Funky Kits, i think she is so sweet! I haven't finished the card yes as I have lined the inside with paper too and would like to decorate the inside like the front... but I think I may keep it a bit more simple!

The die cut has been done using a marianne die, I love this butterfly, I have covered it with stickles although you cant see that in the picture! I also used my nestabilities to cut out the cloud paper my image is sat on.  I cut the red paper slightly larger and rounded the corners off.

Here are the flowers I added too, I felt it needed them to take the harshness from the edge of the die cuts. I tried to keep the colours to the red and blue.  I also added some crystals and some white buds that have been sat in my stash for ages! I added a double layer of thin lace that followed one of the challenges that I would like to enter this to.

I also added some self adhesive pearls around the edge of my die cut, mainly because i felt they looked good!

Here is my beauty up close, i coloured her using my pro-markers for her dress and shoes I used all Ice Greys for her shoes and apron and Crimson, Poppy and Cardinal red for her dress, ribbons and parts of her shoes, I lilac to colour in the butterflies.  I coloured her hair using her watercolour pencils.

Well I hope you like her, i would like to enter her into the following challenges;

Anita Be Stampin - Pearls and Lace
Bearly Mine - Die Cuts and Lace
My Time to Craft - Use Die Cuts
Pro-Mrker Challenge - use 2 (two papers, two colour flowers, 2 lines of lace)
The Stampin Boutique - Red White and blue
Craft your Passion - Let it all Hang Out

If you have time I would love to know what you think

Pear Tree Designs Challenge #50 Sketch Challenge

Morning all! Again! Well Im here to share with you the challenge this week over at Pear Tree Designs. This week we have a sketch for you all! I never used to like sketches, but I actually enjoy them more now!

This week we are sponsored by

They are offering the winner a set of 6 new digital images from her website, fortunately the DT were able to work with some of her images this week.  I have been able to work with the lovely 'daisy' image available at the Shop.

Onto my Creation, I had made another card but decided this was the better one of them both!

I coloured the flowers using my gelly roll pens (I found them hiding in the cupboard), then I mounted them onto some sky paper and then went over with stickles to ass some shine to them!

The border was made using my x-cut daisy punch and then I added some pearls and stickles within the flowers.

Well I hope you like my creation this week, I look forward to seeing what you create!

Lil Victorian Lilith....

Mmmmm I just love the name, makes me think of the old days when women always wore dresses and corsets! Well I think this little lady has changed my mind! I have always loved the thought of wearing a corset to pull it all in and the lovely dresses with the hoops under them, but I would also love to have this ones attitude! And she is a beauty too! she is available over at Tickled Pink Stamps and I just had to have her!

Its thanks to Cheri over at Graphicat Creations that I had the nerve and patience to sit down and colour her, you so need to look at her creations they are fab!

So there she is, the papers are some from a local shop, I loved the text on the back paper, felt very old and spotty paper started life as a nice cream and brown crisp paper, till I decided to roll it into a ball and bat it about (that is something I don't often do, i don't like to hurt my papers!), even Amelia had a go! I then covered it with sepia ink! and rolled some more, i actually enjoyed it and love the tears that have appeared!  I then took some text from the newspaper and did the same to that (I hope Mark had finished with the paper!?!)

Here is a close up of her head, I coloured her using my pro-markers, boy I love those babies! I followed what Cheri had done with the red hair, she is one smoking chick!

So what do you think??  I wouldn't want to mess with her, specially not with that weapon in her hand!
I did also make a pearly pin that you cant see in the picture, but below is a closer one of it!

Well I hope you like my creation, I sure had fun making her, and cant wait to craft some more... but before I do...

I would like to enter her into the following challenges;

Emerald Faeries - Anything Goes
Two Sisters - Use A Digi

Something a bit different...

Afternoon everyone, well I have been a very busy bee today ad plan to be just as busy tonight. Once the kids are in bed i'm planning a(nother) crafting session!  and I cant wait!

This is one of the cards I made today, isnt she adorable! Its a decoupage that was given to me from a friend, I just had to have her when i saw her, so adorable! It reminds me of my sister when she was little.  She is now 21, about to move out of home and in her final year of training to be a dance teacher, i'm so excited for her!

I mounted the decoupage onto lilac bazzill stock and onto cream, I used my gelly roll pens around the edge so it stood out.  I also mounted this onto the card using foam pads, just to add more detail! The border at the top was punched using an x-cut border punch and I added pearls in the centre of the flowers.  the ribbon is from my stash, and for once in my crafting days, I remembered to wrap my ribbon round the border rather than round the card!

Here is a close up of this gorgeous little one! I also used my pens on her to make certain elements stand out a bit more,  I coloured her shoes, ribbons and headband, i also went round the creases of her dress to make it look like light was bouncing off her.

Well I hope you like her! I would love to hear what you think if you have time please feel free to leave a comment!

I would like to enter her into the following challenges;

Carafty Catz - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Children's Card
Shellie's Images - Anything Goes
Divas By Design - For The girls

Thanks for stopping by!

Another New Stamp..

Evening all, well I have had a busy few days 'thinking' about creating.  I had an amazing day at the farm yesterday with my husband and the girls but lacked a bit last night with wanting to get anything done, so i took the evening off and chilled a bit.

But tonight I decided to have a session and once again after I have finished i'm doubting my creations.   For the 1st time I feel my colouring looks good but the general card... well its lacking.. again!

This is a new digi I have from Tickled Pink called Lil Victorian Lestat, I think he is very handsome!

Last week I was introduced to the idea of using newspaper on my creations, I was a bit nervous about doing this as its all new.  Today I braved it, i cut the text from the paper and then used my sepia ink to 'distress' it! I created the little tag buy using a sponge and the sepia ink on some spare paper and wrote LOVE on it,

Here is a close up of my handsome little lad,  watched the video over at Sugar Nellies on colouring hair, I have tried it a couple of times but am unsure if i actually do it right, but I think I will watch it again!

I coloured him using my Ice grey pro-markers, black, apple and pastel green.  The card base I used is a kraft card from anitas.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Tickled Pink Stamps - Distress It
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything goes
Tellens Place - Anything Goes
Craft Us Crazy - Something New
Pixie Dust Studio - Back in Time

My First Sassy Card!!!

Hey everyone, how are we all??  Well I got some of the gorgeous Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy stamps this week, I have resisted for so long and couldn't hold back any longer.

So after stalking the postman as he arrived, he delivers me my little package and I was so excited to see my new babies, I had thought all day what I wanted to do with these beauties, but by the time I came t sit down and play tonight my Mojo had vanished!

But I have tried! I sat and stamped the gorgeous Bedtime Snuggles (available here at Funky Kits) about 5 times, just so I had enough copies of her to get me going, I then used my watercolour pencils to colour her in.  As a base card I have used a kraft card base and I distressed the edges using sepia ink and a sponge.

I tried as best as I could to make the most of the watercolours, trying to make areas lighter and darker but I don't think I have done it right! I had also treated my self to some lovely new papers today... oh and a bit of ribbon to tie it all in!

Here is a close up of bedtime snuggles, she is so cute!! Love the little teddy too! I did use my pro-markers to colour in her skin as I have not mastered skin tones with pencils yet!

I also used my lovely stamp from lili of the Valley, but i realised after I had put it all together that the colours did not go, so I will change that one later! I used the reverse side of the paper to wrap a bit of ribbon round and tie a knot and then added the pearls for more detail.  I distressed the edges of all the papers using my ink pad and a sponge.

This is just a view from the top of the card!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Crafts and Me - Anything Goes (option Kraft)
Creative Card Crew - Cute and Girlie
Divas By Design - One For The Girls
Flutterby Wednesdays - Must have Butterfly
Pennys Challenges - Anything goes
Truly Scrumptious - Anything Goes

Well I would love to hear what you think! Thanks for stoping by!

They are brilliant for all your crafty supplies! Please if you have time pop over and take a look!

Now onto my creation for this week!

My stamps nearly had an ink attack... they didn't know what to think! After lots of time getting very very messy, playing around with a few things I decided to use (one of) my lovely new stamp from Stampin' Up!

The paper is made using a clip art from the internet, I printed a page where I had randomly put the 'splats' at different angels ect.  I mounted this onto a red card base.

I cut my paper to the size I wanted it before I stamped and then inked up my stamp and gradually moved it down the page!  This is an effect I have never tried before!  I mounted it onto black card and then onto a bit of red and the attached it to the backing paper!

 I used a small remainder of the red card and used my Quickutz dies to cut out the word husband in black!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges this week.

Daughter....

Morning all well have been on a bit of a tidying mission, need to get organised, i'm driving my self up the wall at the moment with all the mess! But feeling very positive at the moment....

Well I'm here to share a card with you.  It is one that I finished a week ago and I was very happy with the way it turned out.  I have used one of Mo Mannings images, Lacie with Ice Cream, I find her so adorable!!!

I used some blue patterned paper for the back mounted onto red bazzill and onto a Kraft card base.
I cut her down with my nesties and put her onto a doily. I just felt it broke her up a bit! I sponged in the blue sky again so it broke it all up a bit!

Here is a close up of her, I used my pro-markers to colour her,  I used sunkissed pink putty and blush for her skin tome and cardinal red and poppy for her dress.  Her hair was coloured using caramel and coco!

Below is a picture of the little flowers and pin I put on the corner.

I also added some crystals on stems I have had sat in my stash for ages! The leaves are ones I have pulled off from other flowers!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

too much time to think....

Hey all how are we today?!!?
 Well I have been un well with serious back pain the last four days, everyone is blaming the dancing from saturday night, but i'm not sure!!! it has given me a lot of time to assess my self and my crafting.

Last week, while frantically out on school and ballet runs as well as entertaining two children bathing them feeding them and making sure they we ok I started to doubt my crafting... did I have tie to craft??  Did I want to craft???  I spent hours looking at my stash, thinking to my self well I could get rid of all of it and then I would have a lot more space in my house.

Then since Sunday I have had no option other than to sit down and relax, I started to go through all the photos on the computer and then I came across a number of cards that I started a while ago and have not long finished and then I thought to my self, I love crafting, its my time for me, i'm not giving it up, I just want to learn to create different things, become more experimental with what I create and be more daring.

So my new missions are to start now.

Im sick of rushing things 'just because' so now my aim is to take as long as I need to on a project or creation.  If I want to sit and colour all day I will and if i want to try something new I will.  Today as I have been at my mums I have spent the morning colouring, Im about to have a browse on the net for something new to try, if anyone has any suggestions....

But I will leave you with this creation that I finished just a couple of weeks ago...

I made this using some stunning card from the Paper mill and my new stamp kit from Whiff of Joy, I'm so looking forward to the next kit, its very exciting!

Thats me over and out for now.  I hope to be back later with something new!

The Wedding Collection.....

Evening again! Well as I said in an earlier post, here is all the wedding stationary I have made in the last couple of weeks.  It has been a brilliant job and I have throughly enjoyed it.  I have since been approached by a few more people asking for invitations... so looks like I may be getting somewhere.

First I will show you the invitations, I made over 70 of these for the couple who were getting married.  They wanted something really personal to them and so they decided to have their photos on the front, with the text 'Guess who's getting married?'  Both the day and evening invitations were the same, The most time consuming part was the bows on the top!!!

Next up I would like to show you the place cards I made for them.  they wanted to keep them in the theme of thins and so we had a similar design for the table settings.  there were 69 of these to do, again I had so much fun doing these!!! I cant wait to do some more!

As a wedding gift I decided to make the a guest book for the day that also matched the rest of their stationary, They were so over the moon with this and so many people commented on the book! It was lovely to see so many people comment on something I had made.

The final photo is of the whole collection.  I have felt so honoured that my friends asked me and trusted me to do this for them!

Well I hope you like what I created.  I would love to read what you think!
