Just passing the time...

Morning all, well had a meeting at Amelia's school this morning, I felt like i was a little school girl again, sat with loads of other mums and dads listening to the teacher! It was nice to hear what she was saying though! Tomorrow Amelia will bring her 1st book home from school! She has been waiting to bring one home for ages and I know she will be so excited tomorrow! We have had a sleepless night from Nancy - we think she has croup again, she is still sleeping now, so I have been crafting but only doing little bits that I can stop as soon as she stirs!

So yes I have been doing a bit of decoupage, Its for a friend of mine, we have a party at the weekend and I am looking forward to going (she throws pretty good parties!) its a BIG ONE for her and so i felt she needed a BIG Card!

Ok so its kinda cheating, pre folded card, die cut decoupage all I needed was silicone! It has felt like so long since I have done decoupage it made a nice change though!

Well there you have it! A bit of a boring post really! I will try to get back later to add this to some challenges, Right now i don't want to get into something and not giving either this or Nancy my full attention!

Will see you all later!

Something a bit different...

Afternoon everyone, well I have been a very busy bee today ad plan to be just as busy tonight. Once the kids are in bed i'm planning a(nother) crafting session!  and I cant wait!

This is one of the cards I made today, isnt she adorable! Its a decoupage that was given to me from a friend, I just had to have her when i saw her, so adorable! It reminds me of my sister when she was little.  She is now 21, about to move out of home and in her final year of training to be a dance teacher, i'm so excited for her!

I mounted the decoupage onto lilac bazzill stock and onto cream, I used my gelly roll pens around the edge so it stood out.  I also mounted this onto the card using foam pads, just to add more detail! The border at the top was punched using an x-cut border punch and I added pearls in the centre of the flowers.  the ribbon is from my stash, and for once in my crafting days, I remembered to wrap my ribbon round the border rather than round the card!

Here is a close up of this gorgeous little one! I also used my pens on her to make certain elements stand out a bit more,  I coloured her shoes, ribbons and headband, i also went round the creases of her dress to make it look like light was bouncing off her.

Well I hope you like her! I would love to hear what you think if you have time please feel free to leave a comment!

I would like to enter her into the following challenges;

Carafty Catz - Anything Goes
Crafty Sentiments - Children's Card
Shellie's Images - Anything Goes
Divas By Design - For The girls

Thanks for stopping by!
