Good morning! Hope your all having a wonderful day! I'm here again sharing one of my all time favourite Paper Doll images - this image is so versatile and I have used it LOADS!!
Meet Rainy Day Friends - available from the store!

Are they not just the cutest pair!
I LOVE them to bits.  This card was made for my cousins little girl for her 6th birthday a couple of days ago!

When I coloured them up I coloured them a bit like my little ones (again!) - i don't quite know why! The image was coloured with copics

A Rainy Happy Birthday!

Morning all - today is my first time posting for The Paper Nest Dolls
Im so excited to be a be part of this amazing journey with Christine and the team!

Yesterday as some of you know, was my little girls 3rd Birthday - I know I can't believe that she is now three - it only feels like yesterday that I was announcing her arrival!!!

When I was asked to join The Paper Nest Dolls - I saw this image and fell in love!!!
Strait away it hit me to use for Nancy's Birthday - I could think of no better image than 'Rainy Day Friends' available here from the store :) - they remind me of my girls (when they are getting along!).

So this is the card I have made for my 'big girl' to give to her sister!

I coloured the image to look like them (I have a very blond and a very brunette!) and I tried to include their favourite colours in it as well (Miss A loves purple and Miss N loves pink!) I did it just so it was a bit more personal!

The image was coloured with copics

The papers, ribbon and charms were from my stash.
The beautiful flowers are from a good friend of mine and you can get some for yourself from Petal Lu! They are simply amazing to work with!

Well I hope you like my card I would like too enter this creation into the following challenges;

2 Sisters - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar Challenge - Sunshine and Showers
Drunken Stampers - Singing in the Rain

a very horsey birthday

Good Morning - its still so cold here - need some warmer weather! Trying very hard at the moment to catch up with myself and posting on here - have been making loads and if I'm honest half the time forgetting to take photos lets alone the details of the pens!  Anyway I'm here to share with you today a card I made a while ago - A friend asked for a card with a horse on - now as many of you know I will avoid colouring animals as much as I can!!!

But I don't think this went too bad! It was an image that a friend sent me a link to - unfortunately I can't locate the link now :( The papers, corners and ribbon were all from my stash.  Well I hope you like her! I have to say all in all I was quite impressed with her!

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again soon

I have created a card using the gorgeous Betty Addams - now I do LOVE colouring her and I know betty loves her too - I decided to colour her monochromatic for a change (I have used SO many colours recently!)

I used all the W's between 0 and 7 somewhere in this creation! The papers are from MME and the sentiment is LOTV.  I also used part of a flourish from The Hobby House and the corners are from my stash.

Well I really hope you like my creation - I have had so much fun creating it!!! Thanks for stopping by - I would love to know what you think if you have a moment - Hope to see you again soon

Happy Birthday Hippy

Afternoon again! Yes I have a peaceful one as I only have Nancy, she is playing quietly and watching Fireman Sam... Why she is into it I don't know! I swear she should have been a boy!  Last night I managed to get in a bit of creative time after finishing the wedding invitations for my friend.  I didn't know what I wanted to make and so I went through the box and found this beauty I purchased a week or so ago from Saturated Canary.

This is the beautiful Dreads are Awesome, I just fell in love with her when I saw her and couldn't wait to get her printed.  Im in the process of colouring her with pencils too.. now thats taking me some time, I'm slightly out of practice with them! She was coloured using copics;

E000, E00, E02, R20, R83, E27
BV000 BV01, G21, G43, Y28
E55, E53, E51, E50

I couldn't help myself but ass some funky washi over the funky paper tape to this card...

The sentiment is from Lili of The Valley, Im starting to get quite a collection of these! I must say  have some of the grey rubber ones but much prefer the clear ones - so much easier to use!

For some reason I decided to add twine too! Not sure why?! Oh and a button... not sure what happened to me last night! Anyway before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Just Tracy's Challenge - Anything Goes
Jelly Park Challenges - Girly Girl
Craft Us Crazy - Favourite Stamp Company (Saturated canary)

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

A Little bit of Hope...

Evening all, well feeling a bit better about myself now, have eaten and chilled, although I'm thinking about raiding the biscuit tin soon! Earlier today saw the release of some new Sugar Nellie digis over at Funky Kits, they are so adorable, well they are the adorable's after all! Well I played with Bambino earlier and since that post I have been playing with Hope! She is so stunning.

I have change my method of colouring today, I have used my watercolours, I used to hate using them as I could never get the effect I wanted to get, but since using my pro-markers I have learnt a few different techniques that have helped me use them today! Of course I have still used my pro-markers on this card for her skin tone (i don't think I feel up to trying skin with watercolours!)

Her dress and hair were coloured using my watercolours and her skin with pro-markers.  I don't think it looks too  bad! I was so surprised when I looked at her after colouring at how good she looks! I was so impressed with her hair I had to take a close up of it!

Her skin tone was created by using Sunkissed Pink, Dusky Pink and Pastel Pink (for her cheeks) and blush over the top of them all.  Here are a small bunch of roses I have made, well I purchased them from 'The Works' and have coloured them using pro-markers.  This time I used Blossom to colour all the petals and then using Orchid just on the edges, it gave the flowers a two-tone effect.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Bearly mine Challenges - Birthday Card
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (something old - Peel Offs)

Thanks for looking!
