Hopeful

Afternoon, Happy Jubilee Weekend! Are you partying the long weekend away? We were meant to but.... sure enough the kids are on holiday and its tipping it down! We did have a busy day yesterday, Amelia had a little show to do over in Stoke Poges with her dance school, it was lovely and we had some friends join us there too, it was a shame about the weather, and it turned into a very late night!

I have to tell you its been a bit of a rubbish week, things have just happened one thing after another, unfortunately we had to have my mum and dads dog sent to heaven last Thursday, its hit us all a bit, she was 16 and will be missed so much.  I haven't even had the get up and go to have my pens out, so I'm sharing a card I made at the beginning of last week.

Meet Hopeful from Wee Stamps,   I have to say that when I made this card I was hopeful that the week was going to get better not worse!

I fell in love with her the moment I saw her, she has a longing look, The papers are form Prima Fairy Belle collection 6x6 stack that I purchased here.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pin and cheese cloth are all from my stash and the butterflies die is from here.  She was coloured using Copics,

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20
Hair - Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Top and Flower - R22, R24
Trousers - B000, B00

I die cut the circle using Spellbinders Large Circles and the went round using my SU distress tool, I then used Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink pad around the edges.

Im so happy with how she turned out,  I just hope the bug comes back again soon, I have a fir bit to get on with, hope its just a glitch with the horrid weather! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Mint and Pink

Evening, well i haven't quite been feeling the ticket, not had any get up and go to craft, don't think its helped that i have decided to raid my stash and re-home it.... I get all hard and say yes that can go, that can go, and then when I package it up... mmm should I have kept it? Oh well whats gone has gone and it gives me money for new stash....

No its not a new stash card, its another wedding!
I have used the lovely 'wedding couple' from Lili of The Valley.

I confess I have been on a bit of a roll with this one, I have had it stashed away for ages, never used till last week, I now fang get enough of them.  Im also getting there with the smaller cards, making 6x6 a lot now, just need to try other shapes rather than square!

The flowers were from my stash, they look very yellow in the photos but they are not like that in real life.
The pins were from my stash, I'm starting to learn to use them more now with the addition of the cheesecloth!  The border punch is an x-cut one, somehow my punches have been in two different draws, so it was a nice surprise coming across it.  I added small rhinestones in the middle just to add some bling, The digital paper was from Etsy and I inked the endues using Tim Holtz Spun Sugar.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

DRS Designs - Wedding
Shellys Images - Anything Goes
Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Waste not Wednesday - Use forgotten Stash

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon!

Lili Of The Vally Wedding

afternoon, wow what a day today has been! The weather has been beautiful! Managed to get 5 loads of washing done and on the line, only got 2 to do tomorrow now - thats if i don't get them done today! And we plan on having a BBQ tea - the kids can't wait!

The only thing is I haven't had time to craft! Well I have had time, but not felt like it! its been so busy the last 2 days with the electrician in that I got on on Thursday but today not had the get up and go - I think its just that I have so much other stuff to do - and I haven't SMASH*ed for a while, so I keep thinking that I should!

Anyway as you know I have been on a wedding roll.... they have been jumping together! This card has been made using the lovely Wedding Couple from Lili of The Valley - they have been sat in my stash for a while... and I have always been a bit saved to colour them!

The papers I purchased last week from my local craft shop and the flowers were from my stash.  I decided to add a bit of cheesecloth with a pin to the corner.  The image was coloured using copics.

The same but different?!

Afternoon, yes its been a quiet week for me... well for my blog.
I have had poorly children again! and then had to finish some wedding invitations (the photos should be up in the next couple of days for them!) and then a mad rush for other cards too, as well as people asking me to take my cards to the school and ballet and... well I think thats about it!

This is going to be rather a quick post but thought I would update you with what has been happening! Well after finishing the wedding invitations I needed to make a couple of cards for Amelia as she has a party today for two of the girls at school.... and yes I cut it tight on time again!

So I decided that I was going to use the same image for both of the girls.. and the same papers... and the same layout..... and then I coloured them, I was going to do them the same... but I couldn't its not something that I can do, I don't mass produce, Im a one man band and I like things to be different... Even if it is just the colour of the tops! I did feel very bad for making these so much alike!

I didn't even note the colours that I used as it was so late and I just wanted to get to bed! So they were two very quick and easy cards.  Im quite happy with how they turned out... but disappointed in myself for not making more of an effort! But I can't change that... and the girls liked them!

I hope you like them, Im hopeful to be back with some more creativity later!

See you soon
