Well onto the Sketch with a Heart this week.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you all create! Just a reminder that you do NOT have to use a Heart Song Designs Digi to play but if you have one it would be lovely to see what you create! If you want to but a Heart Song Designs dig you can always pop to the shop!  Remember we still have the amzing New Release bundle, if you purchase the bundle you will receive all 10 new releases as well as save $6!!!

Here is my creation for the week, I used the lovely new release digi Pretty Parasol, I couldn't wait to colour this one when I saw it, Such a beautiful spring image! reminds me of April days and that song from Bambi 'drip drip drop little april showers'!

The papers are old ones from magazines, but I thought they were quite spring like, and brightened the image!  This is one of the final mothers day cards, I only have one to make (i know they should all be done by now!) and that is what i'm about to get one with, thanks goodness i'm not seeing my mum till later!

Here is a close up of one of the roses, I have punched it from the papers I used for the backing, I then put the opposite flower to the opposite paper, if you get me?!?.  I will post a link to the tutorial for the rose on the tutorial page.

Here is a close up of the image, I coloured it using my pro-markers, I forgot to take note of the colours, only because my eldest is ill (we think we may have chickenpox), I tried to distract her by getting her to help me, she kept putting the pens away before I finished! It was funny to sit there with her and ask her to get colours out for me, she did a very good job, till she got bored and tried to make stairs with them!

A Little bit of Hope...

Evening all, well feeling a bit better about myself now, have eaten and chilled, although I'm thinking about raiding the biscuit tin soon! Earlier today saw the release of some new Sugar Nellie digis over at Funky Kits, they are so adorable, well they are the adorable's after all! Well I played with Bambino earlier and since that post I have been playing with Hope! She is so stunning.

I have change my method of colouring today, I have used my watercolours, I used to hate using them as I could never get the effect I wanted to get, but since using my pro-markers I have learnt a few different techniques that have helped me use them today! Of course I have still used my pro-markers on this card for her skin tone (i don't think I feel up to trying skin with watercolours!)

Her dress and hair were coloured using my watercolours and her skin with pro-markers.  I don't think it looks too  bad! I was so surprised when I looked at her after colouring at how good she looks! I was so impressed with her hair I had to take a close up of it!

Her skin tone was created by using Sunkissed Pink, Dusky Pink and Pastel Pink (for her cheeks) and blush over the top of them all.  Here are a small bunch of roses I have made, well I purchased them from 'The Works' and have coloured them using pro-markers.  This time I used Blossom to colour all the petals and then using Orchid just on the edges, it gave the flowers a two-tone effect.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Bearly mine Challenges - Birthday Card
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes (something old - Peel Offs)

Thanks for looking!
