Let us Dance In The Sun,

Morning! well what a pants weekend... well not completely pants, but the weather sure has been, typical that Amelia is back at school and the sun is shining now! but how long will it last? So what have you all planned for the week? I plan on making a few more cards as well as getting the order of wedding invitations finished and well thats about it!

So anyway yes I have been playing again, seem to be on a mission at the moment... I have been playing with the beautiful Cerridwen from Saturated Canary, she is defiantly one of my favourites at the moment!!

This is actually a 6x6 card... shock horror as normally my cards have been 8x8 so I am somewhat impressed with myself! The papers are from Prisma the Fairy Belle collection I purchased them last week from here (with a touch of Kraft behind each layer), ohhh and my mum found a small bit of gauze in the cupboard that she gave to me so I added some of that too!  The sentiment is from the Whimsy Spring Letter Seals, it should go in a circle but I thought it was perfect just like it is and I thought the wording was perfect with the image!

She was coloured using copics;

Dress/Butterflies - R81, R83
Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 cheeks, R81 lips, G43 eyes
Hair - E33, E35, E37

I used a combo on the hair that I haven't used in a while... I know what I haven't used it, cause I was avoiding re-filling the pen... oh am I in a bit of a 'inked state' today! Oh well... It will go in time!

I also distressed the edges using my Stampin Up Distressing Tool and Tim Holtz Viantge Photo (Yes i let him near my work again but I was very careful this time! Once was enough on messing things up!)

You can see the gauze better in this photo, Im not sure on it, I know a friend of mine is sending me some cheesecloth so I am now intrigued to see if there is a difference at all?

Yes I had to add some added butterflies, they were punched from Kraft card stock and distressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and then some diamond stickles to finish! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Tuesday Throwdown - Use some Sparkle
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, Its been lovely having you here, if you have a moment I would love to read what you think! Hope to see you again soon!

The night Tim Holtz Inked My Work....

Yes... Your all thinking, 'what on earth is she going on about', strange Title I know, but Im on a distressing mission and the ink went all over my work... Now I'm not one to give up - especially not as the whole image was coloured and I was happy with it! So I improvised....

I turned the ink splurges into make believe dandelions... Now I thought that was pretty smart! But now I'm not so sure! It looks OK, you can't tell, looks like tis done on purpose and I'm sure everyone would think they were part of the design! Anyway onto the actuarial card...

This is the beautiful Springtime available from Saturated Canary, she is so beautiful, Love her hair blowing in the wind... She was coloured suing a variety of topic markers.. now cause it was late when I did her I just put my pens away..

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 for her cheeks, R81 for her lips, E59 for her Eyes
Clothes and shoes; R81, R83, B60, C3
Hair - E59, E57, E55

As I say the grass was a few different greens! If I manage to work it out I will let you know!

I wanted to show you another sentiment stamp set I have recently purchased, its another Whimsy Stamp set that I purchased from The Hobby House called Summer Letter Seals, I love these stamps!

Now Im trying to limit the number of pictures I up-load, I have paid for extra storage for a year but need to try and cut back, so I am trying again with the little frame with lots of photos in.

The butterflies were punched from Kraft Card Stock using a xcut punch, I have lost my big butterfly! Slightly frustrating! I distressed the edges of their wings using TH Vintage Photo and added stickles to make them look a bit blingy!

The flourish is the other half to the one pre made one I used on yesterdays card, I wanted to use and and thought it fitted well, that bow is made from organza ribbon, just from my stash!

Bit of a close up of the image , I loving this hair combo at the moment! works so well, but i think tonight I will try another new one.... well I need to order some refills for the current combo!

The flowers were from my stash, I purchased them from Crafty Emma's a while back, they are the Gardenia Petals, I so have to order some more!

Well I would love to know what you think of my card, so if you have time please leave a comment! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Amusing Challenges - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Aud Sentiment Challenge - Anything Goes

Share On Sunday

Afternoon, well I'm a bit later than normal with this post as I have hubby home! Yes he is of this Sunday and we have had a wonderful family day so far! We went to church this morning, not something we often do as he normally works, and then we have been for a lovely Sunday Lunch.... mmm it was lovely!

anyway back to Share On Sunday....

If I'm honest I haven't used Pintrest too much this week as I have had Amelia off school, so not be able to do much at all, as many of you may have seen I love SMASH*ing at the moment, so a number of my pins and views have been for free printables.... rather boring to some! but I did pin this lovely creation...

Love this 30 Days of Photos album by Ally using Simple Stories Life Documented!

I think its so cute and will be adding it to my list of 'to trys'.

There are many other creative pins on this board that can be found here, well I hope to see some of what everyone else is pinning, so I'm off for a browse!

See you soon!

Something A Bit Different!

Evening, well this morning I was feeling inspired, then I had to do the house and lost it... then I took one look here and felt inspired again! Yes that is the wonderful blog of Pop's.  Her work is amazing and it really inspired me this morning.  I noticed while doing that looking back post how my cards have changed and how much more I want them to change.

Anyway another bit of inspiration was the wonderful Krista Smith who draws all the beautiful Saturated Canary images, she released some new ones yesterday (I'm sure most of you know that!) and i just couldn't wait to get my hands on them! this one in particular!

Meet Cerridwen, isn't she just beautiful!

You know I couldn't resist her with those butterflies! I was fortunate enough to have her last night but felt so poorly that I didn't have the energy to colour after all, so have made her my mission today.

This is a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps available from Quixotic Paperie, the set is called Whimsy Spring Letter Seals, you can find the set here. I stamped the sentiment using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

Ok so this bit gets complicated.... So I purchased some of the lovely pre-done flourishes from The Hobby House yesterday and they arrived today (now thats what i call 5* service and I will be back there!), but at 1st it fitted on my card... and then it didn't (I'm probably about to confess to one of the biggest crimes...) and so I cut it down, and that didn't work, and so I cut it some more and then...

Yes I kinda bodged it back together to fit how I wanted it to! I think it looks pretty good though! I used some of my Kraft card stock I have had hiding for an age! I also used my SU distressing tool and the TH Vintage Photo ink pad round all the edges of the papers - I will be doing more like this!

So back to the image... Oh I'm so in LOVE with this image, all of Krista's  are lovely to colour but this is one of the ones I think I will colour time and time again! You can just see the black dots I added to the wings of the butterflies I did this using a finer marker.

She was coloured using copics

Skin - E000, E00, E02, R20 cheeks and R83 for her lips, E59 Eyes
Dress - R81, R83 and R85
Hair - E55, E57, E59
Butterflies - YR68, R14 splash of R83

The papers were purchased from BeBeBuBu (another company that offers outstanding service!), they are the Prisma Fairy Belle set, one of the papers was a 12x12 but from the same collection (I SO have to get more! They are SCRUMMY!).

The flowers, butterfly charm and lace were all from my stash, I love finding things that I forget I have! Didn't realise I had such a stash of lace! Well I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Just keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Digi Doodle Shop Best - Pink And Brown
Shellies Images - Pastel, Kraft and Flowers
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have a moment I would love to hear with you think!  Also please stop over at Pop's blog, I'm sure she would love to have you there and she is SO inspirational!

Thank you for the Music

The songs I'm singing... yes OK so ABBA moment! I love some of their songs.... Im not sure the kids think that way thought, but then my singing and ABBA is better than the singing toys running out of batteries! AGHHH, the number of batteries we go through!

Anyway... yes I have been creating, a bit, not a lot, very simple is the way of my world right now! This is the lovely Lil Perfect Match Lolita Christina, available from Tickled Pink Stamps, now just a heads up... Tickled Pink Stamps are all going Digital, so they have MASSIVE reductions on the rubber!

I coloured her up a long long time ago, and i was hunting through and found this bit of paper and just put her together! It was made in about 10 mins! Im quite happy with how its turned out!

Here she is up-close, SO happy with how her clothes had coloured up... somewhat impressed with that one.  I have to admit that this one was coloured with Promarkers... I don't have them anymore so can't even begin to guess what colours I used!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you again soon

Looking Back... Link Party

Morning all, well I have been having a browse around blogland this morning (in between telling the children off!), I'm feeling pretty inspired! I can't wait to get the pens out... mmmm that will be once the kids are in bed though, unless they suddenly decided that sitting with mummy for a while is a good idea! So anyway on my browse around I saw that Kellie over at Give A Girl A Blog  is have a 'Looking back to the Beginning' link party, rather strange as it was only a couple of days ago I looked back at some of my early posts!

Link to the Past

So I have decided to join in! You can see the post I'm linking back to

So would you like to join in? I have nabbed this from Kellies blog (Hope you don't mind!)

  • Go back WAY back to the first month you started blogging.  Take a look around.
  • LINK to the linky below to one of your post in your first month.  Doesn’t have to be your VERY first post, I thought this would give a little more freedom as often our first post don’t contain much, and you might want to link to something you made, wore, read, bought etc.
  • Why not post about it on your blog and take the badge I made up?
  • Keep coming back to check out the links added as I am sure this will be so much fun and getting to follow along with new blogs.

Hope to see some of you there!

WOW Thank you!

Morning, well I was meant to do this on Thursday but I have been poorly along with the children, So I am sat here now trying to catch up with all that I need to do as well as get ahead of myself!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was approached by 'Craft Corners' they run a feature called 'Best of The Web' and they asked me if I would like to be featured! I said yes and so if you go here to 'the best of the web' section you will find me!

There are so many other wonderful websites and blogs, Im sure going to see what other sites they come up with, so pop over and take a look

The Apple Of My Eye...

How chilly has it got?! Im freezing! What happened to that warm weather we had just before the kids broke up from school?! Oh well, at least the garden is being watered... LOL! How are we all?

I know a couple of posts ago I mentioned my little box of coloured images, well last night I braved looking in it, you know when the image just hits you and you know what to do... well it was one of those moments! This is the beautiful Orchard Love from Saturated canary available here.  I just fell in love with her when i saw her and coloured her strait away.

I so happy with how this one turned out, other than my awful handwriting!
The flower was a lovely gift from a SMASH* friend of mine, I just LOVE the flowers... need more! LOL!  The paper is Echo Park and the bunting was cut from the reverse side.  I have a little thing for turning the corners on my paper at the moment, just adds something different!

Now as it was a while ago I don't know what colours I used, I do however know she was coloured with Copics and I used my Tim Holts Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky to distress the edges.  I wash I had taken more notes as Im so happy with her hair!

So the one bit I'm not happy with... can you see how awful it looks!? Plus I couldn't find my twin, although I think it would have been too thick for the size of the bunting!

OK so yes I had to give you an up-close of her hair!
When I suss out the combo I will be sure to add it! and use it again and again and again!

Well I hope you like my card, before I go I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Crafty Sentiments - Use A Digi
Oldie but Goodie Challenge - On the Farm or In the Garden (my paper is at least 6 moths old!)
Just Keep On Creating - Anything goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have time would love to hear what you think! Hope to see you soon!

Pens + Rubber + Ink = A First!

Morning all, well I have Amelia at home till at least Wednesday, that's if I can get her to start eating.  Its so hard when the children are ill, I wish I could be ill for her.  Im so used to seeing my big girl full of life and answering back, she just hasn't moved for 2 days! but she is on the up and we are hopeful that tonight/tomorrow she will start eating!

Well I have had a little bit of crafting time in-between cleaning and nursing! you know one of those start stop crafting moments - this is why I can't wait for the craft room to be finished, at least I will just be start stop up there, not start stop and tidy up for 5 mins crafting!

Well the title says a first.... yes I have made a tag that matches the card for the first time ever and it won't be the last! I has so much fun doing it! It was one of those... mmmmm i need to use this new stamp but I'm not sure what to do... mmm and there we have it!

This is the gorgeous Blush Bonnie from TGF, I have had her sat there a while and haven't had the time to use her, Im so glad I have used her now and can't wait to use her again, I think I have to cut more tags today and go on a mission of cards and tags!

Sorry about the rubbish up-close photo, I am half asleep today and tried several times to take this photo! And so I gave up! Blush Bonnie is available here.  I do have the Babette somewhere and I hope TGF bring out more like these as i love them so much

The paper was DoubleTake from the cupcake series I believe that I brought this when the craft shop round the corner was closing down, I do have a few in the stash, the ribbon was from my lil jars of yumminess! It matched with the combo on her dress really well.  She was coloured using copics;

Skin; E000, E00, E02, R20,
Hair; E29, E27, E265
Dress; RV29, RV34

Now the combo for her dress was just a random... well lets try and I will be using that one again!  The tag was cut using my Cricut and distressed using my Tim Holtz inks Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Brushed Corduroy, I love adding a touch of brown to things at the moment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

One Stitch At A Time - Anything Goes
Card Making Mama's - Make It girly
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Shellys Images - Anything Goes
Just Keep On Creating - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Well I hope you like my card and tag, as I have said I can't wait to make more!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon!

Share on Sunday

Afternoon!

How are we all, well I have a poorly girl, she has been up most of the night, absolutely wiped and don't know where to start today! Well I'm here with my Share on Sunday. I have to say each week I look forward to this post even if its last a last blast round pint rest.

This week has been quite exciting for me as we have finally got the curtains up and the carpet down in what will be my little craft room.  Unfortunately it still has a way to go as the kids need to sleep in there for a few weeks while their room is done! But I still have lots of planning to do! So you can guess what I have been looking at on Pintrest this week....

Craft room. jenmorris Craft room. Craft room.

yes I have been looking at how I'm going to lay my craft room out! Im so excited, seen so many FAB storage ideas... oh and one or two that I think will have to get put on the walls for decorations!! I can't wait to get it finished now!

Well I can't wait to see what everyone else is Sharing on Sunday! Look forward to seeing you!

HEY!

Yes ok not a normal word for a title for a blog post, but I was feeling uninspired! for the first morning in a couple of weeks I did not want to get up this morning, at all! I could have stayed in bed all day, but there are things to do so Im up and thought I would pass some time on here!

SO last night I continued creating - I confess it was a new image that I coloured, didn't dare tackle the draw!  I didn't know where to start! and so here is the lovely Wryn - Howdie Cowgirl from Tiddly Inks, she has been sat on my computer for a while and I kinda forgot about her, I SO need to find a more organised way of storing my digs, I have tried in a folder but you never know what you really have.... mmmmm going to think on that on!

She was coloured using my Copics;
Hair; E29,27,25
Hat; E33,35
Horse; C5, C2, W0
Dress; R56 58

And the paper was from my stash, it was just a 12x12 sheet! The image was die cut with my square nesties... go its been a while! And I used a fine liner to add the detail round the outside of the image! Ohhh and the Tim Holtz inks came out to play! Distressed the edge using Walnut Stain and Brushed Corduroy and a finger sponge, I found them on my clear up let week, I have missed them!

OK so the close up of the NOT so funky banner! I cut it by hand and used my terrible hand writing! The card wasn't big enough to put how die like I wanted, so just put HEY.

Well I hope you like my card! Im going to go and be more creative today, after I get on top of the housework! hopefully that won't take long!  Before I go I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Whoopsie Daisy - Anything Goes
Paper Sundaes - Anything Goes
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything Goes
Tiddly Inks Challenge - Photo Inspiration

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon!
