On Your Wedding Day

Evening! Well at last the evening has come! I don't know who invented these school holidays but were not even on day one and I'm already thinking roll on them going back.... LOL! NO I love it really just been hard today as the weather has been so cold and horrible and so we have been stuck inside all day! Now I apologise for the state of one of the sentiments on this card, as its still wet so it looks pants, but it will look good once its dry!

This is a card I have made for a friends wedding we are going to tonight, its all kind of been last minuet as to getting sitters for the kids, so I didn't manage to start this till an hour ago... and then just to top it off.... I ran out of paper, good job I managed to get it right 1st time!

This is the beautiful Bride and Groom from Mo Manning, I have used this image a few times, its so nice to colour for a wedding card as its so simple.  The image as coloured with copics and spectrum noirs;

Copics
R24, R22, C0, C3, C5, C1, E41, G05

Spectrum Noirs
FS2, FS3

The circular sentiment is from Lili of The Valley, It looks blue at the moment for all the glitter on it, but once it dries it will look fine... I just hope it dries in time! I have added the details of todays date so they will always remember! The other sentiment (you can see on the 1st photo) is a Whiff Of Joy - Just felt this needed more then 'A Special Day' on it!

The white around the image is from a bouquets of flowers that I brought 'to me love from me' a while ago, there flowers were 30p and had loads of the material in it, so I thought it was worth it! The bunch of flowers were still alive a week later too!!

The flowers are just from my stash and I added some glitter to them too! I couldn't match the colour too closely so the tie in more with the paper but still feel they look good!

You may be able to see on the photo below the glitter on her dress, using the stickles I just added some down the folds just to add some dimension! I have to say for a card done in less than an hour... I don't think its too bad!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Patties Creations - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Creative Monday's - Anything Goes

SMASH*ing Pages 2 and 3

Morning, only me!
Well I went to my SMASH* book and realised that or these pages I didn't need to print... I had done page two... so just needed to finish page three, well I planned it the other night and so it was quite easy!

As page 2 was full of lines, I wrote more details about me and the family, Amelia went though a stage of separation anxiety and so I always told her that mummy will always be here, and I will always come back, I still tell her now and so I had to finish the page with that..

Ohhh look at the wash tape, I love it, I only ordered a couple of rolls and so i think I need to order some more now!
Can think of so many uses for it!! The metal words were brought from e-bay ages ago and I just wanted to use them up!!

Well thanks for stopping by! Hope to be back soon with more cards and SMASH* pages... Mark should get some ink today to fingers crossed!

Thank you....

Only ME! Again! LOL, well although I ahem been sleeping lots I have been creating too, although not too happy with this one... but I don't know what else to do with it! LOL so I kinda just gave up and thought its one ready if I need it! kinda stressing as the Ink cartridges haven't turned up in todays post! So can't do what I wanted to, no printing till monday at the earliest now :(

Its the beautiful Snow White from Saturated Canary, I have coloured her before but have never been able to colour her again! why can some images be like that?!

She was die cut using my nesties and I even managed to get a punch out for this card! Its a MS one that I brought from e-bay a while ago!

I coloured her using my copics and Spectrum noirs for the skin, I'm getting used to using those now but still love my copics more! Here she is up-close;

The apple went terribly wrong.... the colourless blender had to fix it!  but it docent look too bad now!
The sentiment is from a set of whiff of joy sentiments I have, Didn't know what to put on this card... I must have been having a bit of a blank moment!

The flowers were all from my stash, it took me 20 mins to 'fix' my tube of silicone glue where someone... no names mentioned left the top off!! Was not a happy bunny!!

Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Crafty Catz - Use A Digi Image
Crafty Purple Frog  - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you again soon!

(Trying) SMASH*ing again!

Morning all, well its been a beautiful few days and today the weather is horrible! chilly and grey and the cows are laying down so looks like rain is on its way!!

We had our 1st BBQ of the 'season' yesterday, we have some friends who are emigrating and so they came for dinner, was so lovely to see them before they go! We hope that one day we will have the money to go and visit them! Till then there is Facebook and Skype!

Well the title of this post says it all.... once again I have tried SMASH*ing... Yes I have actually brought a smash book and done the 1st page! not 100% happy with it but... I have tried and I have plans for the next few pages, just waiting for the ink to arrive!! That will hopefully be here today!

Not too bad, I wanted to try and 'use the page', but I don't think it quite worked!
I fell in love with the digi from Saturated canary called 'Smashy Bob', she's a bit like me with the short hair!!

A number of people have laughed at the comments I wrote around her! I can dream that one day I will have a waist that small can't I?
The day that I did this page it sprung to mind as I wrote the date that hubby and I had been together 7 years 9 months! Time has flown by, it only feels like yesterday we met! The boy and girl thing... well I call him boy and he calls me girl! Yes I know were MAD, but someone has to be!

Oh... the interesting part! LOL.... All my money goes on crafting, although I never have much as i'm a Stay At home Mum! But all I need is LOVE from my family!

Ok so I now feel better that I have publicised this page (NOT!), I'm hopeful that the next few pages will turn out better!! I do have some plans... that I think will work!
Thanks for stopping by, hope you will pop back soon

Hello Friend

Hello! how are we all today?! This weather is just FAB! hard to think that we have summer weather before the end of March, just hope that we don't get too many 'April Showers', I don't like rain! Although with the hosepipe ban I think we are going to need it!

I have been on a roll.... pitting together cards that I started and never finished! I coloured this little one over the weekend, I had even chosen the papers and done the ribbon... and then just lost the will with what to do next... and yet today I have taken one look at her and she came together...

I believe she is an Elizabeth Bell, Im not sure if she was for Sugar Nellies?  If anyone knows please tell me, just so I can make a note next to her! I love to know the name of the image I'm using and what company she is for! s

I coloured her using my Copics, and the other bits and pieces are just from my stash.  I love the paper, not sure who its by or where I brought it from... I know if i see it again I will be buying some more!

The ticket stamp is from Whimsy Stamps but the sentiment inside is from Whiff of Joy, it was only when looking thought this morning I thought about using other words inside the shape... I so need to buy a die to cut these tickets out!

The rhinestone flourish was created using my Bazzill Template, I think that will be a 'very used' toy for a while!
I am so happy with how this has turned out, even with all the stressing when I first started on her!

Well I hope you like her, I can't wait to try and use her again!
Just a reminder, I have some candy here, please feel free to sign up!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Together we can....

Hello again! Well yes the Mojo returned last night, after browsing the internet paying visits to some of my favourite blogs I became inspired! Its thanks to this beauty from Saturated canary called Boobie Love....

Krista has been so kind and she is giving her away! SO a BIG THANK YOU Krista!

My printer has been playing up and I have run out of ink, I thought I had ordered more before I went away... but I haven't and so yesterday I did order more and I have had the e-mail to confirm it this time!

I think my printer was feeling nice at the point when I printed her... The image next to her was 'invisible'... So the printer knows it was a good cause!! I used loads of bits from my stash including a packet of brads that I forgot about!  She was coloured with copics and spectrum Noirs.

As the printer had run out I had to write the sentiment, I wasn't too happy about that and hope that when the ink arrives I will be able to 'patch it up' so to speak! the rhinestone flourish was created using my 'long lost' Bazzill template, I forgot I had it and it jumped out at me on Monday!

Well I hope you like her, I can't wait to see more and more people create with her!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

7 Kids College Fund - Shades of Spring
Waste Not Wednesday - Use forgotten stash (template)
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes

Onto my creation this week! It was all a bit last minuet as I forgot Amelia had an easter bonnet competition at school and so the night before the parade I was sat her looking for inspiration!  So out came the tissue paper... ribbon and the duck my Mum made for Amelia's 1st Easter... and the creation started!

I was quite up-set to cut the duck from her stand... but I didn't have too many options at this point!

The flowers were made by cutting tissue paper to about 5x7, concertina folded from the long side, ribbon tied at the middle and the layers separated.  I used about 15 layers of tissue paper per flower.

Isn't the duck so cute... I do give all the credit for her to my mum, she spent hours on her!

The bonnet was a success at school and everyone loved the duck!

Trying my hands at MORE new things!

Morning all, can't believe that I have been home from holidays for three days now, and the clocks have changed... I love the summer and long days.... but give me back my hour!!

Not much has happened since my last post, had a bad night as I kept thinking of starting my new job today! excited and yet quite nervous at the same time! Amelia keeps saying that she will miss me and she just wants me to stay here with her and Nancy!

Anyway I thought I would share with you something else that tried while on holiday.  I used to be the sort of person that always had a necklace on, when I had Amelia I took it off and its never gone back on, but while on holiday I had the opportunity to take a jewellery making class.  The designs the lady had were amazing and this is something I would like to try again...

I know its not the best photo... I wasn't quite sure how to take it, I don't want to be sharing pictures of my messy kitchen! So I hung the necklace on a branch on a bush outside! Here is is a bit closer...

You can't see it too well but the bottom of he necklace had three beads on.... each one hanging slightly longer than the other, looks so pretty.  The beast are glass and they have purple roses with a gold fleck in! So pretty, I chose green, pink and purple seed beads to finish it off.

I am so happy with how this turned out and I can't wait to try again, it was lots of fun... so yes I will get to e-bay and buy me some bits!Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon

Water Colour.....

Ok so I have tried watercolour pencils and thought... No thanks, but for some reason I wanted to take the 'art class' on holiday.  I knew it was watercolours and yes I would love to use them properly.... But I think this was my first and last attempt.... I enjoyed it... but I felt the teacher was very 'jumpy'....

Well there is is... I can't say much about it!!! I would like to enter it into a few challenges though....

Paper Pretties - New Technique
Sassy Cheryl's - Think Spring
Creative Mondays - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping! Hope to see you again soon!

Aloha....

WOW, what a beautiful day today is.... The sun is shining and ohhh its beautiful.... for the first time in years, its cooler in my house than it is outside! And the kids can play in the garden and I don't have to lock the house up! Its so nice!

Well I have managed to catch up with most of the washing, need to get it all away tonight oh and unpack, but its far too nice to do it now... ummmm other than that.... well yes I have crafted.
I had such withdrawal symptoms I just had to create something!

But I had to do my rounds first, and I was quite happy when I did, I found that I won Top Three at Cards for Men... I will add my badge to the side later!

Anyway....

This is the beautiful Cali from Saturated Canary, I purchased her a few weeks ago, printed her and she had sat there.  I am so happy with how she has turned out! Its been the 1st one Im happy with for a while! my attempts recently have seriously disappointed me! Oh and yes... I had to take the photos in my garden!!  Don't the colours look fab!

The paper is from the Prisma 6x6  Sparkling Spring stack, I have had it sat in my stash for AGES.... mmmm so glad i came across it! I used a black brad from my stash... just to tie a bit more black in! She was coloured with copics, as it was don't in a rush as the kids were trying to nab my pens, I don't know what colours exactly! I also added some plain twine I had brought from the ribbon girl.... I need to start keeping better tabs on my stash.... keep forgetting what I have!

Here is a close up of her....

Love her hair! So so happy with how it turned out!

Here is the sentiment from Whimsy Stamps....
Again, I forgot I had this one! Just felt it fitted rather well with the mage!

Well I hope you like her! I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Crafty Purple Frog - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Scrapbook Sisters - Anything Goes
Waste Not Wednesday - Forgotten Stash

Thanks for stopping by!
I will be back soon with some photos from the holiday, I stepped out of my comfort zone on more than one occasion.... Hope to post later!

Morning all! How are we all? Its very foggy here today, and cold! and my knee hurts...

Thought it was a good idea to jump the stair gate yesterday and slammed my knee into the sorry frame.... it was one of those ouch! and I wanted to say other words but couldn't... my power of speech was removed and all I could do was some strange deep breathing! LOL, so need to rest it today although loads to get ontop of!
