For a Special Friend

Good Morning! brrrr isn't it cold :( the only thing I'm LOVING at the moment are the trees turning, such fantastic colours! and when the light catches them - well yes I'm nattering again!

Anyway I'm here today so share a very special project with you - a friend of mine who is a fantastic artist (you can see some of her works here) and I were talking one night and I came up with the MAD idea that I would make a little book for her!

Well it took me ages to think of how or what to do in the first place - well we overcame that and then I put it to the side - and it sat there staring at me…. and I finally got to finish it!!!  I have to say that I'm so over the moon with how she turned out!

For this creation I used the beautiful Dreads from Saturated Canary.

The image was coloured with copics - now because it was so long ago I really can't remember what ones I used :(

She kind of reminds me of Meg in more ways than one - that could be as I did try to make her look a bit like her!!  I don't know how or why but this just fell together when I purchased a paper pad from Craftwork Cards called Time Flies - this pack is simply stunning.

I'm normally one to buy a paper pad and have it sat there to stare at for at least 6 months - but for some reason I just had to break into this pack and start using it strait away! And I'm so glad I did.  To make it look softer i distressed the edges of all layers using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges;

613 Avenue - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Crafting When we Can - Seasons (summer)
That Craft Place - Things with Wings

Well I do hope if you have a moment you will let me know what you think! Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope to see you again soon

Preview - Just a Note

Morning - Ohhh I'm so glad your here agin for another day of the preview from Simply B stamps!!!
All the stamps from the last few days (and the next few days) will be available for purchase as of October 12th in rubber - how exciting!!!

I hope you have come over from Louise's Blog, if not then why not pop back to the Simply Betty Stamps Blog and start the hop from the beginning - I know I can't wait to see what everyone else has done with this release!!!
You need to keep your eyes peeled over the next few days - there will be so much going on!!!
So I would like to introduce to you

Mistress of the Dark

Now she is one SEXY mumma! I love her! She kinda reminds me of an era that I can't quite place (you know when your an see them dressed like this but you really can't think of the year!!) So I have gone WAY out of my comfort zone and decided that I would try digital colouring (Or finning in my case) for this one and made a very special not book.

Yep LOTS of time went into this one - it was hard to decided on what colours to use and where to fill and then realise that you missed a spot when you haven't saved the colour you used for that area (big learning curve!) and then th importing and choosing the opacity of the image!

Well all in all I don't think it has turned out too bad! This notebook has a new home with my mum - not all the pages had lines but a few did! Well I hope you like her!  now you need to hop along to the lovely Leslie's blog and take a look at what she has created!

Remember to keep your eyes peeled tomorrow as there will be more! Whoop!

Fight… Like a Girl

Good Afternoon! How are you today? Very chilly here - staying in and keeping warm and going to cook my favourite for dinner - A nice Roast Chicken!!! Im here to share with you a little creation I put together last night.

It all started when Betty from Simply B Stamps released her new set of stamps for Brest Cancer Awareness - after all October is Brest Cancer awareness month.  Now this set is going to be available for a long time and for just $10 they can be yours! All the money raised from these will be going to Brest Cancer.  now I will warn you now - these ladies are rather busty - I really like them and so I had to colour them up right away!

It all started out good until I couldn't find any papers that I liked to match the image with - when I found one it just didn't go so I decided to make a little notebook!

Im so happy with how this turned out! It was so easy to make and it made use of what told I have (when hubby brought it for me I promised I would use it!) The image was coloured with copics

E30, E33, E35
B32, B34
RV 17, RV55
R20, W2

The paper is from my stash and I just cut some plain paper for the inside! Here she is up-close!

Well I hope you like her! I will be making a few of these up to sell to donate money to Brest Cancer Awareness myself so keep your eyes peeled - you can always keep an eye on my Facebook Page.  Before I go I would like to enter this notebook into the following challenges;

A Gem Of A Challenge - For the Girls
Crafty Mess Challenge - Anything Goes
