Adventure is Worthwhile in its self....

As Amelia Earheart would have said! I love adventures and this card sure has been one!

I purchased this stamp ages ago from Funky Kits, I know another Sugar Nellie, but I LOVE THEM! This is Amelia and If I'm honest I didn't buy her because I liked her.... I brought her because of her name! Anything that has the girls names on I have to have! Its not so easy with nancy as theres not much with her name... other than the Adorables dig again Sugar Nellie!

Yesterday she 'fell' out of the cupboard and I thought it was a sign and so I gave it a go! She was coloured using polychromes except for her skin, that was done with copics E02, E00, E000 and R20 for her cheeks.  The clock die is the Tim Holtz one, its had a bit of use the last few days, it will need to go back into hiding at this rate!

Above you can see her a bit closer, I was rather impressed at how she tuned out, I don't normally like colouring in browns but on this occasion... I rather enjoyed it! You can't see it too well but the papers at the back of the image were printed from the computer! They were both steampunk design papers from a website that I found!

Im also trying something new with my photos.  SOmetimes there are just too many photos and so I have a new app on my phone that lets you create these little collages, quite like them so i think you will be seeing more like this!

The ticket is from the Tim Holtz adage ticket book I have, I roughed the edges and used brushed corduroy to distress it a bit more, The charm is just from my stash, I LOVE them, have a few more but don't want to use them all! The sentiment was just printed off the computer, I do wish I had done it slightly larger - but its all a learning curve! The flowers were just from my stash!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Catered Crop - Use Newsprint or Printed paper (closer image added above)
PanPastel UK - Use Two of Something (two roses)
Sir Stamp A lot - Monochrome
Craft your Days Away - Distressing

I love reading what you think, so if you have time please leave a comment!
Hope you like her! See you all soon!

Butterflies and Pigtalis...

Morning all, well I have been a busy bee! Will have a post to share a bit later with you for the wedding invitations I have made! But in-between all of those I have been making the effort to colour for me a bit more! I have quite a few birthdays in january and febuary and so I want to try and get on top of all of the cards! So far I have managed to complete january! Not bad for me, to say I normally wait till the afternoon of someones birthday to make their card!

This is the gorgeous Butterflies and Pigtails, yes your guessed it Sugar Nellie! She is one of the first one I brought and she has not had the use she should have! Im noticing that I'm going through a 'funny colour' phase at the moment! Im not sure what is happening with me! Oranges and Greens, what will it be next! The paper is from my stash, I have so much paper at the moment!!!

Again, more flowers had to be put on here, while making this card I said to hubby that i think I need to get some more flowers, he looked and laughter and told me that I need more flowers like he needs more spanners.  Now he is the one who told me you can never have too many spanners.... So I will assume he agrees!

I love this punch! One of the punches I go back to all the time, I think I need to buy a new one soon! Its a kinda giving up the ghost! But while it works, it works! I went around the edge of the butterfly with diamond stickles to give more detail!

Here she is, I just love her! I have coloured her using my faber castle pencils and zest oil over the top! Her skin was coloured using my copics's E02, E00, E000 and R20 for her cheeks! I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Flutterby wednesdays - Anything Goes
Whimsical Wednesdays - Anything Goes
Cupcake Craft Room - Anything Goes

Hope to see you soon

AHHHH An Order!

Evening all, well were home from holiday, been home a few days but been so busy with washing and two kids that have been given far too much attention last week that cant cope with the fact that mummy has stuff to do,  I have not had much time to get on here!

I have been trying to catch up on orders that I have had, they are all for friends and so know there may be a time delay, they are all pretty cool about it - I ask them a month in advance if they want anything!

1st of all this morning I had to complete a card for my friend, she was meant to pick it up last night but she was caught in traffic and so went strait to the party! Here is the card I made for her!

She asked for a card for a girl who was 10 - 10... what are 10 year old girls into?!!
She wanted it in pinks and purples, I was hoping that I had more purple card stock, but I didn't have any that would match! I did colour some of the image in purple though! I used a DL card blank and Bazzil stock - AHHH I love that pink colour! Its FAB and FUNKY!

I layered the image on black and then on pink and black again! I added stick on gems to each corner just to bling it up a bit! Every girl loves shiny things!

Heres a close up of the image! I love and and have soo loved colouring her, i used a mix between my promarkers and my flex markers, i'm starting love love my flex markers too now, need to practice more with them thought!

I have entered this card to the following challenges;

Sugar Nellies Facebook Challenge - Black
Stamps R Us - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft Challenge - Anything But Square

I was also over the moon that I have had another order in for 'Save The Date' cards! and I have even managed to complete them in one night! So they will be going off to the couple in the next 24 hours.

Here is a photo of them!

So love this design, its so simple and yet has such a clout to it! I know the person that has ordered these will be over the moon when they receive them!

Well i need to hit the sack, another early start tomorrow and so hope to get a bit more time crafting, considering moving the freezer out from the cupboard and locking myself in there with a 'disturb at your own risk' sign, i have had serious withdrawal symptoms from crafting last week and need a good old session to feed the pain!

Will see you all Tomorrow!
