birthday card.... at last no more christmas!

Well as you can guess i'm over christmas! i'm so happy its all over, i cant wait to get my house back to normality!! so I have spent a bit of time today and made this card it has mum on it, but don't think i will use it for my mums birthday! but i can always change what it on it!
The paisley print paper is from k and co, its called pink and green paisley, the scalloped circle is cut from a sheet of Kelly Panacci called Floral Crochet - pink. The stamped image is from stamps happen inc and called collecting sea shells. My mum is in the process (and has been for the last 5+ years) of doing the cross stitch of the image for me! I have coloured the image with pro markers.

The flowers have been made using my spellbinders small scalloped circles (the smallest one in the pack), i cut 5 of each from pink mulberry paper scrunched them up, stuck a brad through them over the brad i did stick a half perl, to hide the metal, you can just see one in the deep pink flower, scrunched them a bit more and then voila!

I have entered this into;

Crafts and Me Challenge - anything goes
Whimsie Doodles - A Change of Pace
CES Challenge - anything goes
Digi Doodle Shops Best - anything goes

So what do you think?!?
Thanks for looking, if you have time please feel free to leave a comment! I love to hear what you have to say about my creations!

Church flowers 23/12/2010

Hey everyone, well i'm sat here trying to get my printer to connect with the laptop and having very little luck, i will take the mac any day over a pc! so i thought a post would be a good way to pass the time.

Back in October, we had our youngest daughter Nancy May
christened at the local church. One of her godparents asked if we could do some flowers for the church for the day to make it feel a bit more special (While at school we needed to do work experience, i did mine in a l
ocal florist shop, throughly enjoyed my self! i did at one point think that was the career path for me, but the butterfly within me won again! ), so we spent a cold afternoon there! The church was covered in flowers by t
he time we left. It was lovely as over the weekend i heard various comments on what my friend and i had produced, it was such fun, being crea
tive but not with paper!!!

A few weeks later my friend asked if i would be interested in helping with the Christmas flowers, I could think of nothing better than getting my hands on flowers again, and just being free to do what i wanted!

On the 23rd December, I was very honoured to be able to do the alter flowers! and here they are!

I couldn't believe it when i walked in and they gave me a choice of various areas to do, my friend said well i think Trina would like to do the alter flowers! I was very scared but at the same time I was so happy!

I used part of a christmas tree as the back of the flowers, as no one sees behind them there is no point in putting anything other than foliage there, i used some mistletoe, leatherleaf and ivy for foliage, as well as some other greenary that was there! yellow spider chrysanthemum, white and yellow double chrysanthemum white freesias, yellow roses, white and yellow carnation
s and some gyp to fill in the gaps!

It was a lovely afternoon, here is one last picture, its a close up of the roses we used! they looked so stunning in the arrangements....

Well night night all

sweet dreams!

Christmas is over.... but 2011 is nearly here!

hey all, well i'm only here as the family are ill and have been in bed for about 3 hours! so i'm very bored! We have had a busy christmas, spent Christmas day with my parents, sister and her partner and my grandma. What a lovely day it was, we had a drink at the pub, went home and stuffed ourselves, had lots of presents (my little girls were spoilt rotten).

Today I had a lay in and we went to my husbands aunts and spent the day with his family, unfortunately Amelia didn't want to play with her cousin and decided to sleep (this is my little girl who hates going to bed, she asked to leave the table and go to sleep!). But never the less it has been a brilliant christmas!

We have nothing planned for the new year, as we have the two kids we cant go out, we have sent 3 new years at different places and this year i think we will be spending the night in, but i may have a few people over, not sure what i want to do yet! may go to bed early and wake up when its 2011!

if you saw my post a week or so ago you know that i have new years crafting resolutions! after looking at lou's blog (she is the other new member on the PTD design team!) she has given me an idea....

she has said that in the new year she is posting one a week with her christmas crunch sunday, this will feature one or more christmas cards for her stash for next christmas! As you can imagine this gave me the idea to do something similar!

I have said that I will make 5 christmas cards a month, so i will post on the 1st of each month as of february christmas cards I have made, each post will be titled....

christmas card countdown!

then every time i post it will have the countdown as to haw any have have done and how many to go! for example February should be 5/55 and March 10/55, and so on! that will give me 55 cards for next christmas, so occasionally there may be more than 5 but to me, 5 is the magic number! I cant wait to post on the 1st of February for the start of this, so i will see you there hopefully!

Well that is me over and out for today, may be back tomorrow, will have to see how the family are as to what we get up to!

night night!!!

Ok so i couldn't resist!

Hello everyone, well i'm stuck in with the kids who are driving me up the wall, Mark is out at work and so i decided i would craft! just been sat there thinking what to do, i'm also so happy about being on a design team for 2011!! and i have been thinking of what to do for the 1st challenge! I cant wait!

So i have decided after looking around on the challenge blogs i have created this to be entered into Incy Wincy Designs, the challenge there this week is shape it! As i have been sat there colouring a boy with a guitar I thought it would be an idea to put him on a different shape card, so here we have it

Its the 1st shape card i have made in a very long time!

Well after today hubby has finished work till the new year! so unsure as to what time in going to get to craft now, we still haven't started the christmas shopping!

So what do you think??

Thanks for looking!

Will be Back in 2011

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and looking forward to christmas. We have had a bit of snow and are stuck in, i don't see the point in taking the kids out in this and its hard work being stuck in with them! So I have been thinking and have decided that I will be switching off from here till the new year. Knowing the Mark will be home between christmas and new year it will give us some time as a family!

We still have so much to do for Christmas, we haven't brought a single present yet! as I think my husband will be at home most of this week at home we will spend the next week shopping and wrapping. In any spare time I get I will be thinking of new creations for next year, I get the feeling that hubby will be having cancellations over the next few days.

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Glittery New Year!

New Year Crafting Resolutions

Hello, well i have nothing to show today as had a lazy day. Amelia has now broken up from school and so crafting time will be becoming shorter! I was thinking today about new year resolutions, i came to the conclusion that when ever i try and set a 'normal' resolution i never stick to it, so i'm going to set some crafting ones for my self, I have this post and it will remind me to keep them, so here we go;

1) Get onto a DT!! (more than one if possible)
2) get lots of followers and have some blog candy when i hit 50 followers!!! (please recommend my blog to friends i would love to give some stuff away!)
3) make at minimum 5 christmas cards per month so i don't have the last minuet rush!
4) enter at least one challenge a week (other than when i'm on holiday as lack of internet!)
5) Let Amelia get more involved, she try's so hard but looses interest so quick, so encourage her more!
6) make sure all birthday cards are made in advance, addressed and ready to post!

So do any of you have any resolutions you would like to share?

Deer Christmas

Hello again! well here we have the cards I have made for my little girls to give to their grandparents this christmas, i have entered the top one into the following challenges

Creative Card Crew Challenge - theme being anything!
all sorts challenge - Last Minute Christmas Projects
Iris' Spot - Holiday/winter
One Stitch at A Time - Anything Goes

I was thinking about a few other challenges but i stll have a few to make, so i think maybe some other card my suit the challenge more, we will see what i come up with tonight!

The image is from wink wink ink, I brought a couple of digis from there last night! you get each image in three formats! i could have spent a fortune last night, some of them are
so beautiful! You cant see it very well but i have put stickles over the star paper to make it glittery.
Unfortunately I cant tell you what the papers are as i have a nasty habit of chopping the bottoms off and throwing them when i but them, so if anyone has a clue as to what they are, please feel free to let me know. i know the purple one is a few years old!

As normal, coloured with my faithful pro-markers!

Thanks for looking.

Please feel free to leave me any comments, i love to hear what you have to say!

Poppy's 1st Christmas

Hello! This is a card i have done for a friends little girl who has her 1st christmas this year! The image is from Mo Manning (digital pencil too) and called kai in the snow, such a lovely image, i have used it quite a bit this year as a number of people have had babies!

Since the 1st comment on here and my reply i have entered it into

Mo's digital challenge - winter wonderland

The image has been coloured with pro-markers and layered on pink card, i cut all the shapes with my nestabilities! The punch i have used is a Martha Stewart christmas one i brought a few weeks ago! The pink card stock is bazzill and the snowflakes are small charms i brought at a show years ago!

I hope you like it,
please feel free to leave any comments, I love to see what you have to say!

hello, sorry i haven't posted for a while, been caught up in my own little world! had coughs and colds coming out of everyone, lots of events over the weekend, and orders to catch up on. Plus I haven't finished my 7 projects. i have had so much going on I have not been able to think.

Today was going well with housework ect till it came to lunch time, when i was cutting a roll i also stabbed the knife into my left hand. So no washing up for me for a few days. Hubby said it my excuse not to have to wash up! so i will now be using the time that i would have washed up to craft while I can! I still have all my christmas cards to do, and Amelia's!

On that note i best get on!
