Less.... Is More

Afternoon all, well last week has knocked me sideways! Im thinking that i was definitely not born for early mornings! But its part of having the kids so I best just get on with it I suppose! Its been a strange weekend! We went to a party as a family yesterday and it was lovely - other than while Mark was chasing one child - I was chasing the other!

well I decided to try another clean and simple card, I thought at first it was going to be easier 2nd time round, but I wanted to try something different! I wanted less on it, but it looked blank... its taken me 2 days of staring at her to realise what I needed to do!

I used the lovely Sugar Nellie image Bad Hare Day available at Funky kits.  I coloured her using copic pens! Ahhh they are lush to colour with, this was my 1st attempt with them and so I was pretty shocked at how well she came out! To say half of it was done in the dark!

I used my cuttlebug embossing folder down the side of the card just to add something as she could look so plain otherwise!

Im sorry for how blurry the photo is but i just wanted to take a close up of her! her cheeks look really dark there but they don't look like that on the card!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Sugar Nellie Facebook Challenge - Less in More!
Crafty Ann's -Outside of comfort zone - (i like pretty papers too much!)

Well we took Amelia to school this morning, I thought I would cry, but I didn't! I feel kind of bad for not feeling more up-set! I did get teary when we got her dressed for school! Here is a picture of her!

So grown up! Now she is home and 'bouncing' off the walls, i just want a little bit of her energy to get me through the rest of the day, 7am starts do not like me!!

Anyway im here to share another card I have made! Over on Facebook Sugar Nellie have a challenge every week and this week they are after Clean and Simple creations! Im not some for loads of different papers on one card, but i like one! so this was not the easiest for me! But I have tried!

This is another of the beautiful new stamps available over at Funky Kits! isn't she just adorable, and I have 'tried' blond hair, not too sure on my attempts on this but it will all come with practice!

I have decided that rather than listing everything that i use in my post, i'm going to try and start giving you all more information about what products I use and where I have got them from when I create a card - you will see these towards the end of the post, let me know what you think!

here she is up close, i just lover her expression! so sweet and innocent!

    Yes... A Christmas card, but it still fits with the easel cards! So i was Ok there! This is one of the FAB new stamps by Sugar Nellie available over at Funk Kits, I just had to have him, i fell in love and that was it! I used my fab christmas sentiments from LOTV, and since making this card I have been out to try and get a punch to use with them, but the one that I have brought is slightly too bug, so back on the hunt I think! The papers are from the I Believe collection from My Minds Eye! Ahhh they are lush!

    you cant see it too well but i did used a shaped card blank, on the bottom i added gems to try and point it out!

    Here is is up-close, I coloured him using my Pro-markers, I forgot (once again) to note what colours i used! But if i ever remember I will edit the post for you!

    I just love his face so much!!!

    Back to School....

    Afternoon all, well there was me hoping that we would have established a routing by now! But Oh No! Amelia still doesn't want to go to bed at night, i just hope that school wipes her out and that she will start sleeping!!!

    Firstly I would like to tell you about the DT call over at Lets Ink It up. you can see the post here, why not pop over and take a look?!

    Ok so the important stuff out the way!  I actually managed to get quite a bit done with my cards yesterday! Been spending so much time colouring that I haven't created much, so had a fab night last night sat down enjoying making some creations!  Im here to share with you one that I made.  the image was coloured so long ago and I have no idea as to where my little book of notes is, but as soon as i find it I will up-date this post!

    I so love this stamp! this is Winking Student from Sugar Nellie, she is available from Funky Kits, I love how she looks slightly cheeky! The shaped card blank is one that i brought from here, I have a little 'things' going for shaped card blanks at the moment! They are so versatile as you can create anything with them!

    The papers are from a HOTP 8x8 school stack that I brought a few weeks back again they are available from here.  I wasnt too sure when i first looked at them, but they are growing on me! The tabs are also from the paper pack!

    Heres my coloured image up-close, isnt she soo cute!!

    Way out of the comfort zone!

    Afternoon all! How are we all on this fine weekend! The weather is lovely here today, sun but not too hot! But i have to be stuck inside as i have so much to catch up on before Amelia starts school on Wednesday! I don't know where the summer holidays have gone!

    Well i'm here to share with you something that is completely OUT of my comfort zone, doing that quite a bit at the moment! Well I decided that I wanted to learn to colour better with pencils.... now i'm not one to sit in a class room or have someone stand over my shoulder telling me what i should be doing.... I learn by making mistakes!

    While craft shopping I saw a set of 'skin tone' pencils and thought... 'I can do it', and so I purchased them, well the 1st attempt I thought was shameful! But I walked away for a while and then went back and realised that it wasn't that bad at all - all this time I have been colouring with PM's and I have learnt from that! it just needed tweaking!

    I shared the picture with a few friends and one of them suggested that I tried using blending stumps and Zest oil! OMW! Fab stuff, i'm addicted! It makes life so much easier - and now i like colouring with pencils!!!

    Oh and yeah I have a new bit of Sugar in my draw, I have wanted this stamp for SOOOO long now and decided as it was my birthday a few weeks ago I would treat my-self! Ahhh i'm so happy I got her at last!

    So there is the close up, I was somewhat impressed, thats only attempt number three and I think i'm getting better each and every time! I can see me needing new pencils soon! LOL! She is completely coloured with pencils and I used the Zest Oil, I even tried to do a ski (that doesn't look so good!)

    Here is the finished card!

    I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;
