More Shabby Chic and Butterflies

Only me... AGAIN! I did say that I had been busy....

So one more to still make today and then we will be finished for the day... the rest will be done on Monday/Tuesday for delivery on Wednesday! Ok so I do have a few other small bits to do... but they will take me an hour or so...

So I'm here to share the card i have made for my Mother In Law from hubby and I... I have to say I become completely stumped with making cards for the family, al least if someone else says that want a card with xx on it, you can do it, just never know what to make!!!

Yes... I went back to the old faithful Stitch Bear Shabby Chic paper! I love it, I can't get enough of it!!! and YES the trademark butterflies with rhinestones. But sometimes staying in the comfort zone is whats best... well for me! LOL!

Im not going to rant on about how much I LOVE this punch again!
I may try to find a new style one... If you have any suggestions please let me know!

I used the paper on the inside of the card too, once again changed the opacity of it, and then added another lovely verse from a website!

Well I still need to do dinner, get kids to bed, make some more cards and I may be trying something new tonight... If I have time and it works pop back... Im quite excited about what I'm going to do... Im picturing it in my head already!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

My Mums Craft Shop - Spring Colours
Simon Says Stamp - Special Girl

Thanks for stopping by! Remember I have candy HERE!!

Shabby Chic... Happy 75th

Morning all! Well afternoon now I suppose! We finally have Amelia back at school today! and we had a better night but still far from perfect... lets just hope things are turning around now!

Well Last week as some of you may remember I made a 'sorry you're leaving' card for a friend of mine.  While she was here collecting it, she requested a few more card, one of them being a 75th birthday for mum - and she wanted it A4! So I sat there and thought and thought and then thought...

Shabby Chic

Yes I think I have an obsession with a set of shabby chic digital papers I have from stitchy bear.
Now I have looked at their website and can't see them... mmmm maybe I'm looking with my eyes shut!
But anyhow I have used a paper I didn't know was in there till now (I apologise for the bad lighting!)

Yes.. trademark butterflies again! I am obsessed with them though... That punch is still serving me proud you know! If it dies.. I will replace it!!

Once again I decorated the inside of the card and followed the butterflies thought too!

Behind all the butterflies I gave them the trail of rhinestones on both the front and the inside of the card!

Well I hope you like my creation.  Thanks for coming to take a look.  I would like to enter this card into the following challenges;

Shabby Chic - Sorry Your leaving

Morning all! Whooo I have finally found five minuets to sit down and blog... Need to get on with DT stuff today, will be so happy once i catch up with what needs to be done! I hate being so far behind!!

Had a call from a  friend mid weeks, she always comes to me for her cards, It was so nice to chat to her as I haven't seen her since christmas! She asked me to make a 'Sorry You're Leaving' card, but she wanted it A4 and not too over the top! I accepted the challenge...

Yes there is the Sitichy Bear paper again.. I love it! It has so many uses and needs so little doing to it!
 As you can see I decorated the from with loads of butterflies again, and the rhinestones... It just makes such a lovely card!  i think my mum is going to try and buy it, I know I have looked back there and can't se it at all!

OK so there was one final twist... She wanted extra sheets on the inside for people to sign... I racked my brain, I could see it but I couldn't work out how I was going to do it! Looking back now i feel so silly not knowing with how simple it was! I just scored the front of the card with a 3mm gap from the spine of the card inwards and then used double sided tape to add the extra sheet and stick it all together!

Well I hope you like it, I will make another A4 card after that as it was quite a bit of fun!!!

you are my everything...

you are my one and only... yes I have been singing along with Mr Lionel Ritchie, oh how I LOVE his music, he has done some wonderful songs!!! I started singing it when I started on this card, I have made the very quick and simple, yet very effective card for one of our workmen! He didn't get time yesterday to buy a card, and so I made him one to give to his wife today!!

I LOVE this DP, have been using it so much! Its lovely for anything!! As I was punching butterflies for invitations while making this card, I thought they went well on this too.  I did originally punch some lighter green ones, but they didn't show up so I used the dark pink ones and added the gems after!! I even decorated the inside of this card too! Yet another beautiful sentiment!

I have learned how to change the opacity of an image on my computer, so happy as it can work for so many things! Also it opens up a while new world to inserts for cards! I rotated the DP round so it filled the whole inside of the card!

I told you it was a quick and easy one!  I hope you like it!
I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Flutterby Wednesday - Anything Goes with Wings

Top Tip Tuesday #49 Shabby Chic

Morning all, well now is the official countdown, only 8 days till my big girl has her 1st day at big school! How time has flown! Washed all her uniform ready and were having 'practice runs' for getting up in the mornings now, just so were all used to it!

Well im here to share with you the challenge over at Top Tip Tuesday this week, and man was this out of my comfort zone! This week were looking for you

Shabby Chic Creations

Now as we have had a few people leave the team the last couple of weeks, it left this week slightly open the theme was set and so we have all decided that we will give you our own interpretation of what we believe shabby chick is, here is my inspiration for you!

To me Shabby Chic is plain and subtle, its not a plain white, its an off white blended with subtle pinks and greens, it flows, its warm and welcoming.   I had spent so long looking about for inspiration searching key words and looking at others creations.... and then took the card blank in one hand, papers in the other and then tried not to think too much about what I was doing!

I was rather impressed at what I came up with.  The papers is from a set I purchased from Stitchy Bear, I just fell in love with this one when i first saw it, I tried everything to create what I wanted to... I tried digi images, stamped images, die cuts and couldn't fill it, then i remembered something a friend said to me last week....

Its Difficult ti say what is impossible,
for the dream of yesterday
is the hope of today
and the reality of tomorrow

I have no idea where the saying is from but felt it fitted here rather nicely!

I printed the wording from my computer and used my nestabilities to cut it out, i used my cats eye chalk ink pad around the side and then mounted it onto a piece of cream shimmer bazzill to tie it in a bit more.

I then printed the backing paper again but changed the opacity of the image using my word document and printed this on A4 to make an insert.

So all in all yes I was scared when I saw the challenge, but I would like to say I would love to make another Shabby Chic creation as it was lots of fun!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges;

Heart Song Inspiration - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
All Things Unity - Anything Goes

Well I hope I have inspired you to join us this week,  I would love to know what you think of my creations, if you have time let me know! Look forward to seeing what you create,

Good Luck
