Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything goes

Afternoon everyone, well today is a busy blogging day today! Have so much that I want to share with you but I will have to be spacing it out throughout the day as the little ones are poorly!

Well this week is my last week as the GDT at Papertake Weekly!  so i'm a bit sad, its been so lovely working with everyone there.

First of all I would like to say a big thank you to Dawny for inviting me and allowing me the opportunity to be GDT member.  I have had a lovely time and wish it didn't have to end.  I would also like to say thank you to the other DT members over there, all your cards are lovely, such grate inspiration, I cant wait to see more from all of you! And finally I would like to thank each and every one of you that have played along with us the last four weeks, your creations are marvellous, again there is so much inspiration within each and every one of you!

I will be along and taking part in the challenges at Papertake Weekly again soon!

So onto this weeks challenge, This week its a brilliant week, anything goes, you do have the option of adding flowers to your creations!  I cant wait to see what you all come up with!

This week we are sponsored by

and if thats not enough, the prize is...

WOW, how amazing!

Well onto my creation.  This week I have been making small cards, i'm onto things little!  I'm also in plain and simple mode.  Sometimes I feel I need a break from big, bold and bright.  So I have crated this very sweet little card.

I must apologise for my reflection in the card, one lesson learnt with miri card!

 I have used my nestabilities (pinking circles, smallest die) to create the flowers from tissue paper, I cut about 10 and then used a small brad through the middle of them, I then just scrunched them up around the brad.  I have then gone round the edges of the circles with my baby blue cats eye.

The dragonflies are brads from my stash, they are all from one mixed pack but i cant tell you where they are from!  I have written 'with love' with pink glittery peel offs.

I am entering this card to the following challenges;

Well I hope you like it, If you have time let me know what you think!

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Sketch #52

Afternoon all!
We have been up early today as we have been to bottle feed some lambs at my friends chicken farm, Amelia's face was a picture being able to feed a new baby a bottle, she giggled all the way through!

Well over at Papertake Weekly this week we have a sketch to follow! How exciting, I had never done a card on a sketch until now! It was so much fun.

Our sponsor this week is Is Simon Says Stamp,

the prize is a $20.00 voucher to spend in Heidi's shop! Why not pop over and take a look??

Here is the sketch we followed;

And here is my design for the week;

The digi is from AI Factory, I have coloured it with my pro-markers using pastel pink and dusky pink, the laces were coloured with satin.
The papers are from my (slowly reducing) stack of centura pearl card, I have used the Dark purple, Pale purple, Pale pink and White.
I used my little template to do the little swirls with pearls (look at me rhyming!) above, I stuck the words on a small piece of the white centura pearl card in gold with peel offs.

The rose was made with the pale pink centura pearl paper, I decided not to put glitter on this one just for a different effect! (I think i'm starting to get better at these!)

I would like to enter this card too the following challenges;

Stamp Fairy - Circles
The Crafty Pad - Girly
Creative Inspirations - shades of you favourite colour

Thanks for looking, I hope you will join us this week, look forward to seeing you there!

If you have a moment, please feel free to leave a comment!

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Ribbons and Pearls

Afternoon everyone, been a busy morning but still have so much to do, why can you empty the washing basket and then turn around and its full again!?!? Never Mind!!

So this week over at Papertake Weekly the theme is Ribbons and Pearls! Our sponsor is The Paper shelter , I was over on their site this morning, going back later on, their images are adorable, i'm head over heals for 'Sophie in the country'. If you have a moment, why not take a look??

When I have made cards in the past I have always done one or the other on a card (Ribbon or Pearls), so it was a bit out (hands stretched wide apart) of my comfort zone to put both! But after a long time sat thinking (while scratching head for inspiration) I came up with this;

You can just see where i have stamped flourishes in versamark for the background, I decided to go over just one to add more effect, The Image was a free one from CDAC before christmas, I cut the circles with my nesties, the blue one in on miri card, The pearls were put on by hand (when went to my little pearl and sparkle box had no adhesive pearls so had to stick each pearl by hand, and im not one for the time it took, I get too fluttery!) The ribbon I stuck on with double sided tape (and got it strait for a change!) and placed the pearls on the bottom for added detail.

I have entered this card to;

Critter Challenge Blog - Blue, Silver and Pearls
Paper Playtime - Use the word Love
The secret crafter - With love
Die Cut Dreams - Use a Digi and Rubber Stamp (the back is stamped with a flourish stamp and versamark)

Thanks for popping by, If you have time let me know what you think!

My GDT Spot at Papertake Weekly!

Morning all, well as you can see from my blog, the last 24 hours have been busy on here! With my 1st card for the DT at PTD and now here is my card for the GDT at Papertake Weekly. How exciting!!!

I couldn't believe it when I received an e-mail from Dawny last week asking if I would like to take a spot as GTD for 4 weeks, I felt like the beginning of 2011 was going grate for me, I just had to say yes. I cant wait to work with the other ladies over there, their work is beautiful!

Well the theme this week at Papertake Weekly is 'cold and frosty morning'.

So we are looking for winter scenes and/or icy colours (blues, whites, lilacs, greys... )

The sponsor is Robyn's Fetish, so the lucky winner will receive 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 paper set of their choice.

So I hear you asking what did i create??? Well recently i have been making a lot of big cards, so i decided to make a smaller card, and here she is....

It took me a while to think of an appropriate image, then I came across this little one at Digi's with Attitude, She is called winter Diva Tween, (you can try her before you buy at the moment!) She sure looks cold the way she is snuggled under there!

The backing paper is from a new stack i purchased at the weekend, its from DCWV its 'glittered' the all dressed up stack, I couldn't resist when I saw how beautiful the papers were! I wrapped ribbon around the paper and layered it onto the card front. I matted and layered my digi and stuck it all together, I just used peel offs for the sentiment!

The Challenges I am Entering this card too;

Weekly Christmas card Challenge - snowman but not mandatory
Craft your days away - anything goes
Alphabet Challenge - J for Journey
Send a smile for Kids - anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything goes

I hope you like it, if you have time please let me know what you think!
