Oh how I used to love the weekend, laying in bed, getting up when I wanted, now I have 2 children demanding when I get up! Roll on 16 years time when they get up and leave me sleep!

Well onto the Sketch with a Heart this week.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you all create! Just a reminder that you do NOT have to use a Heart Song Designs Digi to play but if you have one it would be lovely to see what you create! Here is my creation for the week, I used the lovely new release digi Pretty Parasol, I couldn't wait to colour this one when I saw it, Such a beautiful spring image! reminds me of April days and that song from Bambi 'drip drip drop little april showers'! 

The papers are old ones from magazines, but I thought they were quite spring like, and brightened the image!  This is one of the final mothers day cards, I only have one to make (i know they should all be done by now!) and that is what i'm about to get one with, thanks goodness i'm not seeing my mum till later! 

Here is a close up of one of the roses, I have punched it from the papers I used for the backing, I then put the opposite flower to the opposite paper, if you get me?!?.  I will post a link to the tutorial for the rose on the tutorial page.

Here is a close up of the image, I coloured it using my pro-markers, I forgot to take note of the colours, only because my eldest is ill (we think we may have chickenpox), I tried to distract her by getting her to help me, she kept putting the pens away before I finished! It was funny to sit there with her and ask her to get colours out for me, she did a very good job, till she got bored and tried to make stairs with them!

Incy Wincy Designs Challenge #87 Sparkle and Shine

Morning all. well back to reality now, Amelia is back at school and i have the house to catch up on, but I so want to craft! It will have to wait for now though.  Today is a beautiful sunny day and my washing is blowing in the light breeze, spring is here and it feels wonderful.

Onto the challenge at Incy Wincy Designs! This week were looking for all you creations that...

'Sparkle and Shine'

The design team were fortunate enough to be able to used some of the Heart Song Design digis, if you have time please pop over and see their creations, I know they would all love to hear what you think! 

Here is my creations using Water lily available here. 

I used a shimmer card for my card base as I felt this added to the sparkle and shine for the challenge!  I coloured the lily using my pro-markers, I coloured 4 copies of the lily and layered it up to add effect and depth to the image. 

I mounted the finished image onto miri card and then added happy mothers day with peel-offs! 

Such a stunning image, I have so many other ideas with this digi! 

I then covered the lily with stickels for more sparkle and shine!

Sunday Releases - Heart Song Designs!

Morning everyone, I'm here to tell you about the new releases over at the Heart Song Designs Shop that are available from today! Im having so much fun being on the DT for Leah, her images are such fun to work with and there is so much more fun coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled! 

Today I'm here with 2 new digis for you.  first up we have the Bloom Trimmer set.  This set is designed to be flexible for you, you can used it as an embellishment or maybe as the main focal point on your card! It has been such fun to work with! endless possibilities! 

Next up we have a traditional tulip called 'Lovely Tulips', I always find in my house tulips never last long, as I have 2 kids the temperature in the house can be so changeable and tulips do not like that! , thats why I find them so lovely to put on a card for my friends and family! Also there s no limit to colours, tulips come in so many colours now!

Operation Write Home Blog Challenge!

Afternoon! Well its very very cold here today in the UK< i'm sat with as much as my body as possible on the rad! BRRR! I'm here with a post about Operation Write home, some of you may heard of it but you can click here to go to the website to see what its all about! 

 

Well they also have a blog where they run challenges, the current challenge is Mothers Day Cards, These need to be shipped to the troops by the 31st March to meet with deadlines.

 The sponsor this challenge is Heart Song Designs, Leah got in touch and asked if the team would like to make a card, well as I had been sat colouring a HSD image and didn't know what to do with it I thought why not! So here we have my card that I made

This image has been coloured with water colour pencils and I used my eyelet square nesties for the border! just a simple bit of ribbon down the side.  Well I hope you will pop over and join the challenge!

Sunday releases - Heart Song Designs!

 Morning everyone, well its been a busy week with Amelia on half term, I have felt as soon as I have finished one thing another has started! 

I hope your all having a lovely relaxing Sunday.
I once again have some beautiful new releases from Heart Song Designs! 

This week we have a lovely little bunny called 'Theadore' and he is holding a lovely little tulip.  I saw him in the week and thought how adorable he is! I just wanted to make him and cuddle him!!!  I couldn't wait to play!

We also have the beautiful 'Butterfly thistle', again such a beautiful image and so easy to colour! 

I have an obsession with stickles at the moment, so all my cards seem to be covered in them! Here we have a easel card I have made using the image!

Hi all, very quick post from me tonight, Its late and i need to chill a bit.  I have managed to get a couple of cards finished from the mound I have that have been coloured.  I will pop back tomorrow/monday and fill in all the details.  All the images are available over at Heart Song Designs...

Sunday releases - Heart Song Designs!

Morning everyone, well here we are another Sunday! I cant complain at the moment as I have hubby at home for a change on a Sunday, he is normally at the Track, so I normally have him at home only on a Friday! I cant believe that the weeks are flying by as they are, my youngest daughters first birthday is not far away now! cant believe she will be a year old!  

Well as the title says Im here to share a few new releases available from today over at the Heart Song Designs Shop!  Leah is so talented and i'm so fortunate to be able to play with her images!

First up we have Blooming Stars.  I love the butterflies, but then I have a weakness for butterflies! I have coloured the image but not made it into a card yet! 

Next we have Butterfly Fancy, this was released last week as a black and white line image, but is now also available in colour! I loved playing with this one, as it was pre coloured it made it so easy to layer, I didnt have to worry about making sure the colours were the same when i coloured (a bit lazy i know but...)! This is the first pre coloured image I have worked with and I can now see the advantages to them! If you need a quick and easy card they are grate, but you can also have so much fun with them!

This is the card I created using the image.  This is also my first ever Double Twisted Easel card! There is a tutorial over on the tutorials page, please take a look if you would like to see how it was created! I have made this for a friends birthday! 

I sized the image on my word processing document and copied and pasted it three times, so I would have three layers all the same size,  I arranged them on the page so one could be cut with an even border all the way around.  I then chose what elements I wanted to layer and cut them out. 

I mounted the base layer of the image onto centura pearl pale pink card and then added a bit of lilac with a scalloped edge at the bottom.  I then added the rhinestones in the middle of the scallops.  I chose dark purple bazzill as the card base to try and bring the image out more.  

You can see that the wings of the butterfly have been cut out and layered as well as the flowers.  I used silicone glue to raise the layers.   The punch I used is a Martha Stewart Punch that I purchased before christmas.

Heart Song Designs....

Morning Everyone, 

Well I would like to share with you a card that I have made for Heart Song Designs Inspiration Blog.  

Today I have used the 'Stitched With Love' digi available over at Heart Song Designs Shop, if you have a moment please take a look at the many beautiful digital images available! 

I have coloured the image using my pro-markers.  It was coloured with China Blue and Pastel Blue.  I felt blues were best as its for a man!  I then cut the heart out including all the scallops round the edge! 

I used a piece of Bazzill Bling card stock and wrapped red ribbon from my stash around it, just to add a bit more colour.  

I then used a new Template I purchased during the week from Scrap Revolution (some lovely bits over there!)  Its a Bazzill template for flourishes! I'm so head over heals for it, so I best stock up on my gems and pearls, as i think I will be sung it a bit more.  

So there we have a simple valentines card... 

I only needed to make 2 Valentines cards this year, and yet I have made three..

best find a special someone to send it to!

Sunday Release at Heart Song Designs

Morning everyone, well today is the first time I will post the Releases for Heart Song Designs.  

Every Sunday we will be showing you the new releases! How exciting!!! 

I was hoping to have a card for you all today but the silly woman I am ordered some ink cartridges for the printer and I have ordered the wrong black ink! and so today i'm on a mission to get a new one! I have brought the right cartridge number but it does not fit my printer! Not very happy at all... so until later, I will show you these digis, I hope you may pop over to the shop and take a look at the other digis that are available! and will hope to be printing again very very soon! 

So 1st up we have butterfly Duet, I cant wait to be able to print these beauties and start colouring! 

Now I would like you to meet Jasper with bone, isn't he just so cute! Again I cant wait to colour him! My eldest daughter also wants to colour him in so I will have to show you what she makes! 

and finally today we have Anemone Flowers pre-coloured for you..

Now how stunning are they?? They are also available in the line only version, so you have such a choice!  I cant wait to play so i'm going to sort my printer out and get playing! 

Well I promise to show you something as soon as I can print again, that should hopefully be this afternoon!
