Tip Top Tuesday Challenge #40 'Things Beginning with T' and Tipper week

Morning all, well its been a manic week! Been non stop with trying to de-clutter the house, we had the estate agent on Monday take photos of the house and put it on the market! Desperate to get out of here now, need some space!!! As well as de-cluttering I have been looking at houses, but nothing seems to 'fit' at the moment, lets hope somewhere comes up soon!

All my craft stuff is now stashed in the cupboard, its a nightmare to get it out and I feel more in a pickle as its 'tidy', my flowers are all in a draw and my ribbons are all together, this does not feel normal (for me)!! so crafting it going to be on a 'need to' basis for a while, as soon as we have a buyer I will pull it all out! Its horrible not seeing all my stuff in the house at the moment!!!

This week over at Tip Top Tuesday its tipper week and both teams are playing along, its been a bit of a tough challenge, we want to see all your creations that begin with T, I created a 'twisted easel card', I love making these style cards, you can add so much!

its been a 't'ough one thinking and deciding, so heres a few ideas;

Tag, Teddy, Tiger, Twisted Card, Twine, Teen... the list goes on and on!

If your struggling, pop over to the T.T.T blog and see what the rest of the design team have come up with! Oh my the creations are amazing and the Tips are FAB!

I have managed to sit down and create using one of the gorgeous new sassys released last week available from over at Funky Kits, ahhh they are so cute! As soon as the postie turned up with them the kids had to wait for tea as I so needed to ink them up!

I used the lovely little stamp 'secret santa', isn't she lovely! I just had to colour her first time round using traditional colours, I cant wait to try colouring her with more modern twists!  I used my pro-markers to colour  I used Blush and sun-kissed pink for her skin tone, henna, burnt sienna, caramel and cinnamon for her hair,  I cant remember what greens or reds I used, I some how put them back before I finished her!  I used warm grey 4 and 5 for her boots  and I went over the 'fluffy parts' of her shoes and dress with warm grey one to add some dimension

The paper is from Bo-Bunny, its one from a christmas set that I have had stashed away.  I also (on my de-cluttering) came across my flourish template, I had forgotten where I had put it, so I just had to add one to this card, I used 2 sizes of rhinestones (I never realised the template has various size holes so you can do that!).

Another thing I came across on my tidy mission was my ribbon that I couldn't find last year! I cut a small section and used it as text on my card. I also added some red and blue roses from my stash to tie the colours in more from the paper and the image.

Here is a close up of the flowers, I love the little sparkles in the middle too! Ohh and I brought some leaves last week, couldn't resist adding one of them!

Well I hope you like what I have created, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Alphabet Challenge - 'H' is for half Dozen (6 flowers)

Tip Top Tuesday Challenge #39 - Cross It!

Morning, I suddenly feel that i want to sing today... not sure why?!?

Im her with this weeks challenge for Tip Top Tuesday, its been a fab week getting to know the rest of the team, they are all so lovely and full of helpful tips and inspirations.  This week the fab Annette had a brilliant tutorial for us that you can find here, its a card that i haven't done for sooo long and once i started I couldn't stop!!!

Firstly I made a card for a friend of mine who got fab results from uni last week, so I decided to make her something a little special,  Looking at the card again, it was the 2nd card i made last week that didn't have a pro-marker near it!

Its a very diddy card, I made it using the tutorial but only used one sheet of 12x12, she's not someone that likes things big and se this fitted her rather well!

Here you can see the flowers I used, I stuck them using silicone, the lace was held on using high tack double sided tape.

The butterfly is a spellbinders set i have, looking at it now i wish i had done it on patterned paper to add something to it! Oh well she was happy with it and that all that matters!

Well I hope you like card number one, I was happy but felt I wanted to do more plus I got my new Whiff Of Joy stamps through and so i had to play with them! and so, I created more!!!

I have made this one for Amelia for her teachers at school! The image was so much fun to colour!!! and i used twine too! Oh last week was one of those weeks, well I hope you will pop over to the TTT blog and take a look at what the rest of the DT have created, they would love to hear from you! Look forward too seeing your creations!

Well onto the challenge this week at Incy Wincy Designs! This week we have a sketch for you to work with, you can flip it rotate it, as long as we can still see the sketch we want to see your creation!!!

We are sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs, please pop over to the site to see the wonderful bits they have on offer!

I chose to use Sassy Skater, I love her attitude!!! I just want to be her some days! I coloured her using my pro-markers! Oh how i missed those guys when I didn't use them for a hole day last week, it makes me wonder what i used to colour with before I found them!!

I used a lot of card for my 'scrap draw' that I now have, I never realised how many scraps I had, till I made them more accessible! now I cant stop rummaging!

I cut her out using my nestabilities and used a chalk ink on the back to add some detail!

Well I hope you like her! Please stop over at Incy Wincy designs and see what the rest of the DT came up with! Look forward to seeing your creations!

mmmm... Chocolate, Cream and Gold

Evening, well I have been promising myself that I would try and get here at some point other than monday and tuesday this week, just because I have missed you all! I have had my eldest at home today as she had a tummy bug this morning! Ohh its been a nightmare of a day! Roll on Monday when she is back at play-school again!

Well on and off all week I have been 'trying' to create! felt inspired but never achieved what I have wanted to with my creations. I want to start mixing papers up (I have enough of them!), but never know how to or what to do! SO we went plain and simple, oh and chocolate and cream with a splash of gold!

I had be playing about trying to get the 'pocket' fold right, I know a number of people use two card blanks, I made this from a 12x12 and my new Martha Stewart score board I treated my self to!

The chocolate paper was very 'loud' with spots on the other side, I did want to use both side but i decided to go for something more elegant and simple, It has been so long since I have created a card without colouring or stamping or lots of flowers, so it was lovely to make something more mature.

I have no idea of where many of the items came from, I brought the papers from a friend and they didn't have the bottoms on them, The tags are also from a friend, ohh but the ribbon is from a christmas present about three years ago, Molten Brown!!! Ohhhh how i love the smellies from there! and they way they are packaged... well i must order some more as i want some more ribbon, so lush!!

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges

Bearly Mine - anything goes
Critter Challenge - Chocolate Brown
Hooked on Crafts  - Anything Goes

Well I hope you are all keeping crafty! See you all soon!

A Little tutorial for you...

Well im here again! Oh I have missed my blog AGAIN!

I was speaking with a friend the other day and she was asking me how I coloured my skin tones, I sat and I thought, I tried to explain to her by just typing and it didnt really work and so I made a little Tutorial for her, I also asked a couple of other people who are FAB at colouring to take a look at it, they all told me how good it was and so I have decided that I will share it with you!

Now I know this is not the way everyone likes to colour, this is my way and I would like to share, please let me know what you think and remember to let me know and see any creations you make using my tutorial....

For my Tutorial I have used;

One Image Stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Pro Markers; Blush, Oatmeal, and Sun-kissed Pink

1.

Firstly I Used Oatmeal, I covered the areas that I would like to be shaded/slightly darker that the rest of the skin tone.  This is what i use as a 'base line' so I know where i want the darker colour to be.

2.

I then took Sun-kissed Pink and went over most of the areas that I covered with Oatmeal, With the cheeks I didn't completely cover the base colour, so the cheeks look more natural, Remember that you dont have to cover the whole area again, do it in little sections and look each time, you can always add more but not take it away!

3.

Finally I covered the complete area with Blush, I sometimes 'hold' the nib of the pen in one area for a few seconds to 'bleed' the colour to try and stop harsh lines.  The final picture was taken as soon as I had finished colouring, so that is why it looks very 'harsh' still, I will try to take another picture later so you can see it when its dry!

Well I hope that may be of some help to some of you, I would love to hear what you think, if you have any tips as to how i could improve, please let me know!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Incy Wincy Designs - Challenge #98 Fathers Day/Masculine

**Please note this was scheduled for Monday AM, but I appear to be having Issues!**

Morning all, well it feel so long since I have been here, busy trying to 'de-clutter' the house, I never knew how much stuff was actually in my house, Its not going to be long now before my beloved craft stash starts to go away for a while so we can 'try' and sell our house.

I need to appologise to everyone over on the Incy Wincy Design Team, I have been trying for so long to get some crafty time in, its been so hard, but hopefully things are getting back to 'normal' for a while now! I have missed crafting the past week, so it was nice to sit down and make something, although it was a quick make as I didnt stat till late yesterday.

Well onto this weeks challenge! We are celebrating Fathers Day soon so we are looking for Father Day or Masculine cards!
Here is my card for this weeks challenge, I used a digi from the Aspire To Thrive Digi Shop!

It was a very simple card as time has not been on my side but as things will hopefully settle down from now on, more time will be devoted to crafting!

Well I hope you will join us this week over at Incy Wincy Designs! Look Forward to seeing you there!

Tip Top Tuesday Challenge #38 - Tipper Week - Open Challenge

Well I don't know what happened... i'm sure i scheduled this post.... cant find it anywhere!!!

Welcome Everyone to my 1st Week on the design team for Tip Top Tuesday! I have been stewing on my project for a whole week and have been so excited for today to come!

This week we have an Open Challenge, and both teams over at TTT have joined together as one and the team have come up with some BEAUTIFUL creations and some wonderful tips!!

We even had some digis to play with this week, I used the wonderful Rub-A-Dub and one of the papers available from here at Stitch Bear Stamps

We are sponsered by Robyns Fetish and Stitchy Bear Stamps, The prize for this weeks lucky winner is four stamps of their choice from Robyns Fetish!!! and Stitchy Bear are offering a 1st prize of a $10 voucher!

I coloured this little one with my faithful pro-markers, unfortunately where I was in a rush I didn't manage to note down the colours I used, I used a make up sponge to put the ink of the back for the blue, the lace is from my stash and i used ink around the side of the paper too!

Well I hope you like what I have created, as its an open challenge I hope that many of you will pop along and join in this week, I can wait to see what you all create!
